A time was had! Our driver Winston was amazing explained some good info about the DR. Then it beings… the walk/ hike up the mountain. Please please please remember to be in some kind of shape. Because this walk not for the faint of heart. When we made it to the water part of this fun. They let us know it had been raining for the last 5 days. And when I tell you the water was moving it was moving. I felt like we are about to go white water rafting without the raft. Now sprung for the pics 45 to 50.00 worth every dime. They are going to risk life and How do you spell and I don’t think that’s the right word that I for amazing shots, we should have. Now, if the water is full that first slide a doozy, we went down and took some time to come back up( now I’m thinking this is it this is the way I meet my marker) but I can up and 2 very nice easy on the eye men where there to assist me to safety. After you get past this the very slippery rocks. Try not to fall because u will hurt something. But if you ask will I do it again… yes I would it was an amazing time!!!! Must book! Watch the weather report and have fun!!! Remember get the pics!!!! So worth it!!!

Tony, Jordan & Oliver were all amazing. There were 12 of us and 2 guides & 1 driver. What amazing staff for our little group. While the water levels were down, we were still able to do 7 of the falls, but that also allowed us to spend more time at these falls as they were the best falls. The hike was filled with lots of info as well provided by both Tony & Jordan.

We had a Great time on this trip. Our guide was Zander and he was awesome! It is a 45 minute hike somewhat uphill but if you are in decent shape you will be fine. It is all shaded so that is helpful. Bring water shoes with semi decent soles or gym shoes you don't mind getting wet because they will. Our daughter brought an older pair and tossed them after. They offer a photographer to go with you at a very reasonable price and he followed our family group of 13 the entire time and took amazing pictures. They did not recommend bringing any phones or anything because of the jumps but I think if I did it again I would bring mine with a good floating water bag and tuck it into my left jacket on the jumps but that's just me. You will be jumping and swimming.

Our guide Tony and driver Alexi were great! We had lots of laughs on the ride over, had a great experience at the falls and an awesome ride home with rum punch! I was a little worried about the intensity of the hike going up but there’s water, lots of breaks and was very doable even with the heat and humidity.

We loved our adventure to Damajagua Falls. Xander made the trip unbelievable, from start to finish. Our 15 year old twins talked endlessly about how fun it was. Just enough hiking, jumping, swimming, and laughs for a perfect outing. I would highly recommend this excursion. At first, we were a little leery of booking this, due to the conflict nearby, but Xander and Alexis, our driver, made us feel safe and welcome in this wonderful country. We learned so much about the history and current situation in the D.R.

The waterfalls are cool and the jumping is fun. The hike was easy and also pretty cool, and a lot cooler than the rest of the island. Guides took care of us well. The downsides: there was a LOT of standing around waiting. It got to the point where it wasn’t really fun anymore. There needs to be a limit on the number of people. If we were constantly flowing through, it would’ve been a MUCH more enjoyable experience. Also the organization on getting helmets and life jackets was a mess. The pickup location is definitely a long walk too. If the standing and waiting part was addressed, I’d easily recommend this excursion. But because of that, it’s hard to be a solid recommend.

Tony, Angel, and Louis are great!! We met outside of the cruise port it was about a 15 min walk to the transportation which was a nice, air conditioned, and comfortable van. We were offered water for the excursion. Once finished on the way back to the cruise port, the guys offered us some yummy rum punch. They also pulled over to a local family stand where they sold bananas and got us all a banana. Great group of guys. It was worth the short 15 min walk to have a special trip with the three great guys. Also met lovely people while on the excursion. There's also a person selling carved items, jewelry, and paintings which were all so beautiful and affordable and you won't find gifts like this any other place than the DR. It was cheaper booking through Viator than the cruise ship and you also get 10% off your first excursion you book through Viator. Overall: met great people, got great deals, had a great time, well worth it! You'll be happy you booked!

Have very mixed emotions on our excursion at Damajagua. First of all, pick up time was 8:45 and we made sure we were there 15 mins early. We were taken to a van to sit and wait and 15 mins past our pick up time and they sd there was just one more person they where waiting for. We waited patiently and took atleast 30 mins past so 9:20 am at this point when they finally left. The tour guide Tony was very nice and driver Manolo or Mercedes. Not sure the exact spelling. Both where nice. When we got to the Damajgua Waterfalls. We where told that we can’t bring our belongings. We had to leave them all in the van. Just wearing our swim clothes, water shoes and no sunglasses or any kind. We had a nice drive to the place. Tony said since its only 3 of us that it will be a nice private tour. Once we got there. We got lifevests and helmets. Then he pointed us to another group with three other tour guides and told us that they will be taking care of us and he left and said he was gonna help some other people. We didn’t realize that group had over 50+ people and the whole tour took forever. We stopped so many times to wait on others as they had to make sure people caught up. The entire tour consists of 5-6 water falls that you can either jump or go on the slide or walk down the stairs. Towards the last 2 falls. The tour guides where rushing everyone to get to the end. It was a mess from the first waterfall. We jumped and since there was so many people there that it was a mosh pit and we just stood around in the cold water waiting for people to move. On The last jump. The slide and the place people jumped was so close to each other that I was afraid that someone would jump on top of me so I had to swim fast to the side. Honestly the tour guide made us feel so left out and out of place that we didn’t belong there. They where taking pictures of everyone so they can sell them packages at the end of the tour and since we where not part of their tour. We had a hard time getting pictures of our family since there was only a small space where they could take pictures and they where there taking it for only that group. I wouldn’t have mind paying them if they only made us feel welcomed but that was not even the case. The entire 4.5 hours tour they didn’t even check to see how we are doing. We just felt so out of place. We met some people that was on our cruise and said they bought the Damajagua Waterfalls Tour when they arrived the port. They paid the same as what they charged on here and they had about ten people in their group. Except their tour guide was the one that guided them through the falls and that they where able to just cut through the line and didn’t have the same experience as us. I’d probably do that for next time Im here. Oh lastly, the drive home was nice. Tony made a nice drink and stopped by a nearby fruit stand and got us fresh bananas.

Highly recommend! Xander and his crew make this experience fun and memorable! Walk up was only 30 minutes for us. Water was chilly but we adapted quickly. The ride back was a blast - the music and rum punch were flowing! Definitely a great excursion for when you're in port in Puerto Plata.

Coach Xander was awesome… very kind and professional plus he made the whole experience a ton of fun! From the walk up the trail, to the daring jumps and slides and finally the party bus ride back to our cruise ship. I was so happy I chose this excursion and I made the two jumps despite any initial fears I had. Definitely a bucket list event!

We had such an amazing time!! Our guide was Xander and he made sure everyone in our group was having fun! This was such a cool experience. The hike was pretty difficult but it was beautiful. Once you get to the top and get to jump off and slide down the waterfalls it is super fun!! I highly recommend getting pictures taken.

Adventuresome excursion, for sure. You have to be able to hike a steep path in hot, humid temps, and jump from a very high platform (in spots). The water is refreshing; however, it does smell like urine in the water at the first jump--unpleasant, but people are gonna do what people are gonna do. It was very crowded. Our guide, Xander was the best. He gave us each a bongo or maraca on the way back and turned up the music as he served rum punch. He also stopped at a shack and bought us each a banana and a piece of chocolate. He carried our phones for us (much be in waterproof pouches!) and used one person's phone to take pictures of us the whole way. TIP HIM GENEROUSLY!

We've used Viator on previous excursions and have always had the best time! Our day in Amber Cove and excursion to the Damajagua waterfalls was AMAZING! Our guide, Angel, was informative, attentive and had a great smile! The hike was all incline and steps, glad we wore tennis shoes to cover the terrain up the mountain. Definitely recommend that you jump!

It was a great experience. Xander, our guide, was great. We were back with enough time to check out the port before boarding the cruise.

Such a great experience! Our tour guide Xander was the best! He made sure we had a great time and went above and beyond for us and even gave us many many recommendations for what to do once our tour had finished. The water was perfect and the falls were beautiful . It’s very family friendly, they have ladders at each jump point for those who don’t want to and the slides are small but still fun. Once finished we were greeted back in the van with some drinks and stopped for local bananas , chocolate and a taste of mamajuana. We greatly appreciate Xander for taking great care of us and highly recommend him to those looking to book this excursion!

Had a fantastic time! Water is refreshing, jumps exhilarating, and guide entertaining. Xander was awesome, life of the party but always attentive and concerned for the safety of those in his group. Rosie was prompt and always provided feedback to any questions or concerns prior to our arrival. She provided a map and directions from the port area to the loading zone for the tour and if it seemed we were veering off path, people were kind enough to assist with directions. Some may find the walk/hike to the start of the falls to be somewhat strenuous but it's very doable and the enjoyment of jumping/sliding into that first channel of water is well worth the effort. Only regret is not having the time and/or opportunity to experience more of the 27 falls. I think if we could have only waited 5 more minutes we would have made it. Of the 27, we were able to experience 7; three of those allowed for jumping from an elevated platform into the water below and the others having a means of sliding down a smooth channel into the waiting water. Great time and would definitely recommend.

This was a fantastic excursion to experience the Damajagua Waterfalls. Tony was a fantastic guide and made sure we were all comfortable and having a good time for the entire day. Definitely an experience that we won't forget! It was very nice having an air-conditioned bus waiting for us the moment we arrived, which also becomes a secure place to store all our stuff. We also had plenty of water before and after the trip, as well as some "happy juice" for the ride back to the terminal. As a note for future travelers, Damajagua is a very popular attraction, so visiting the waterfalls does require a little patience. This is especially true when there are many cruise ships visiting at the same time. This company gets you to the falls as soon as possible to avoid as much of the crowd as possible, so definitely the way to go for this can't miss trip!

A must-do experience. Beautiful hike up the mountain. Adrenaline rush jumping into the clear cool water. The water slides were a blast.
