Hein was AMAZING as a guide! So knowledgeable and told us things that were not written on the Dachau materials in the memorial. Very polite and punctual and made this tour such a great experience. I highly recommend

Excellent tour, Jamie, our guide, was very knowledgeable and shared stories from survivors that he'd met. The group were invited to ask questions and the tour moved at a steady pace. Good communication before the tour - email detailing exact meeting point and times. Train and bus tickets all sorted through Jamie so we just followed him and it was easy! Would highly recommend. Thank you Jamie and GoMunich Tours.

Jamie was a terrific guide to, from, and through Dachau by sharing info about Germany, Munich, and of course Dachau, the town and the camp. Jamie's sharing of individual's personal stories and their experiences plus educating us on how the Dachau the camp came to be provided a comprehensive view of this place and the people who were there from it's early conception through to today.

Our tour guide Jamie was amazing (I think that was his name!). So knowledgeable, didn't feel like he was going by a script. Really harrowing place to visit, but felt important and so glad we went.

We had a small...10 person...tour that went from Munich to Dachau. Jamie was our guide and he did a good job of sharing the history of Dachau and keeping the tour moving at a good pace. Jamie did a good job of answering questions and helping us learn what took place at the camp. First we took the train to the city of Dachau then a bus to the actual site. Travel time is about 30 minutes each way. We spent about 2 hours at the camp. During that time we visited the exhibition center, reconstructed barracks, and other buildings. The camp was larger than I expected. It is a somber experience but worth doing.

Jamie was an amazing and well informed guide. His experience helped our group “beat the crowd” a few key times on the crowded bank holiday of our visit.

Our guide Hein was very informative and answered all of our questions to the best of his knowledge. The memorial site is truly remarkable. They honor those who lost their lives while also teaching others so it never happens again. Our only wish is that we had more time in the museum. This was difficult due to lots of groups being there at the same time.

Do not miss this wonderful tour! Jamie, our guide, was absolutely fantastic, giving us the historical context and presenting the somber details in a thoughtful, sensitive and respectful way. He did a great job of leading us to Dachau on the train and bus, avoiding the queues and skillfully steering us to the least crowded and most quiet spots. We learned so much—it was so worthwhile, and a highlight of our time in Munich.

This was definitely worth it! Scott was very informative. Very educational. The tour guides have to attend training sessions to stay current with all information. We would not have gotten such detail on our own. Highly recommend.

Jamie was the best tour guide one could wish for during a very sombre and moving experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and completely compassionate and was the perfect guide to conduct such a tour. We were very lucky to have had him. Couldn’t recommend the tour and our guide Jamie (James) enough. Book it and do it.

Our tour guide Jamie did an excellent job on sharing the history of this camp. Such an important piece of history - to see the camp in real life is such a devastating reminder of what humans allowed to happen.

My 18-year-old son and I felt so lucky to have had Jamie as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate, about the history of the camp, Germany, and the World Wars. It is evident that he has visited with survivors and their families; he shared their stories with incredible empathy. Highly recommend! Thank you, Jamie!
