Excellent tour - terrifying how one person’s evil led to so much destruction and death. Our tour guide, Alun Evans, was outstanding.

great tour it was very good and I learned alot of things I did not know before. He was very nice and knew the answer to every question. He also got us there very fast and knew exactly where to go.

If you are going to pick a tour of Dachau and Munich, make sure it is with Alun. This experience was excellent. One that my wife talks about to everyone we see. We did both tours with Alun; Dachau and Third Reich Day Tour. Alun was a true host. He meet the group early and had everything planned for us. There wasn’t a hiccup the whole time. He guided the group from Munich to Dachau and back with ease (via tube and bus). While at Dachau, Alun guided us from start to finish and even gave us sometime to walk the Dachau museum and book shop. His knowledge was second to none, and it was as if we were living the experience with him. Once back in Munich, Alun gave us a lunch break and some food suggestions we will never forget. After lunch, Alun was were he said to meet him and ready to go again. We walked the streets of Munich, learning how the Third Reich came to power. Seeing all the important sites that played a key roll in history. We were even lucky enough to haver Alun to ourselves as no one booked the second part of the tour. It was as though a friend was giving you a tour of his city. Again, he was extremely knowledgeable and even had a binder with images of key events and people. Making sure you understood the full store. You could not pick a better tour. With that, we want to thank Alun for an incredible day and will forever remember our time in Munich because of him.

Not only did he focus on the psychology of how the rise of the nazis was possible, but his compassion to describing the life of the prisoners was genuinely authentic. Alun was incredibly engaging throughout the whole day (even in inclement weather) and ensuring that he was accessible to anyone and everyone for any questions. I’m so glad we booked this months in advance to secure a spot with his experience. This is the tour you want to do if you want a truly immersive experience of the rise of National Socialism and a genuine account of how Dachau came to be so quickly as the first concentration camp. Alun was such a great tour guide and had much knowledge of Dachau and the history of World War II (and beyond) inside Munich. I would highly recommend for anyone booking one of his tours. I chose the full day Dachau (in the morning) and Third Reich History in Munich walking tour after. Couldn't have been any better of a day.

The tour was fantastic, Alun has a real passion for his historical knowledge on not only Dachau, but Germany war history. He was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed the day and all the information Alun had to share. Would happily recommend him to anybody looking to book any of his tours around munich and Dachau

Alun was fantastic. He purchased train/bus tickets prior to the tour so time was maximized at the memorial site. He also navigated the trains/busses in a way that beat the crowds. Upon arriving at the memorial site he provides an exceptional chat on the history of the camp and the rise of the Nazi party. His method for going around the camp kept us away from the big crowds and allowed us the most time possible to see the various buildings. He then provided an hour for us to explore the museum on our own after giving his recommendations on what to see inside. Upon arriving back in Munich at Marienplatz he provided lunch suggestions for an hour break prior to the walking tour around the city. After meeting back up, he led us around the city to the significant historical sites in the rise of the Nazi Party while providing a very detailed background on each of them. Alun was wonderful in terms of answering questions and making small talk along the way as well. My wife and I cannot recommend his tour enough. Hope to do his resistance tour whenever we come to Munich next!

We loved this tour and Alun was very knowledgeable. The trains were cancelled in the morning due to storms Alun went above and beyond to make sure we still got our tour. The trip itself was great and was so good to be guided round the famous sites with so much detail about each stop. Didn't have to worry about travelling or getting to the camp Alun sorted everything. This trip is definitely a must for anyone interested in WW2 and wanting to go to Dachau as a tour.

Great trip if you want a great overview of the third reich. We did this on full first day in Munich and it gave us a good overview of the city and how to get around also which was really helpful for the rest of our stay. Guide was friendly and informative and answered all questions professionally

Alun is truly knowledgeable about Dachau, Munich, and the rise of the Third Reich. If your schedule allows, don't just go to Dachau, but also join the Munich walking tour in the afternoon - it will give you a fuller perspective of that time in history. He cares that his group gets the truth, and he has answers to just about all the questions. This is a very difficult subject matter, but Alun teaches with grace and kindness. I think everyone walked away gaining some deeper insights into humanity. Very highly recommended!

Alun was a well organised guide ensuring all the group only had to concentrate on the information shared. The transport was clockwork. The temperature was really warm during our visit and Alun made sure to make the group comfortable and pausing in shade when possible. Thankyou for such an enjoyable experience. Would recommend.

This was a very educational and moving trip for the entire family. Our tour guide Alun was very knowledgeable of the subject matter both at Dachau and during the afternoon Third Reich walking tour. Besides telling us about what we were going to see in the tour he spent a good and appropriate amount of time to give context to the experience, often with insights to what motivated those historical actions. He was also masterful in navigating us through the transpose system to get there as our trip was at probably the peak of the summer tourist season. Overall excellent tour and experience.
