No one could make the trip as wonderful as it was except Ari. He knows the history of the country so well and he was a thoroughbred professional. He was very friendly and gave us enough time to enjoy the views and sceneries.

I've been on so many tours but this one in Albania is simply the best. I’ve easily booked a 4-day customised tour with Ari, the operator and tour guide of A Tour To Remember. It was easy to negotiate things especially the budget of the trip and places and things you may want to visit to be included in the itinerary. Some of the best parts of the was driving along the coastline, watching the beautiful sunset in Lekuresi Castle overviewing Saranda, being mesmerized with the mytical beuaty of the blue eye, short hike on Gamti Mountain to witness the magnificent and relazing view of Bovilla Lake, admiring the beautifully preserved ottoman houses in Berat and shopping in the old towns of Gjirokaster and Kruja, the city above the sky. But to be honest no place is a waste in the trip, everything was worth visiting. The experience I had with Ari, was like no other. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Albania, and he made sure to bring me to all the best spots that I should not miss during my stay in his country. I have been doing lots of Tours in the recent years, but I never found myself good enough. This experience was amazing and if I have to give my opinion based on previous experiences with other companies and with Ari(the tour guide that was present here) then I would advise everyone to go with him as he makes the experience enjoyable & lots of fun 😊

If you are planning to visit Albania just go with Ari otherwise you will be disappointed! He is very knowledgeable, and a true ambassador for Albania. He asked us about our plans and took the time to create a custom tour for us! I am sharing with you just a part of our custom tour as we received it from Ari: "- i will pick you up at your accommodation and we will start driving along the coastline (Albanian Riviera) We will be able to stop by any spot that you would like to take picture. -We will drive up the mountain to the National park of Llogara amd enjoy the view watching the coast from top of mountain. -after that we will stop by at a restaurant and enjoy the delcious yougurt with honey that the local make. -We can have lunch at any time and any place. - After Llogara Park we will head to Vlora city, stop for a coffee break, take a walk around. -The last place to visit is Zverneci monastery which is not far from Vlora city. -Then time to go to Tirana airport." We had such a great time in Albania with Ari and we will reach out to him for our next trip in the Balkans.

The tour was very nice. We were able to see most of the attractions in just half day. Ari was very help and has very good suggestions for food and shopping. We were able to see 3 different cities in one day. The location and the food of the restaurant which was next to the castle were amazing. He told us about the history behind each place. Wow!!! That’s all I can say!!! Ari was such a great guide!!! He helped us set up a private customized taxi + tour which started with him picking us up at our hotel in Ksamil and driving up to Tirana to sightsee! The tour also included free lunch/dinner and wine! We stopped in Gjirokaster which was beautiful with so much cool WW2 and ottoman history, we also stopped at the Permet Benje hot springs, and a very cute farmhouse where we got a wonderful traditional Albanian dinner and delicious local wine. We had such a fantastic time that I ended up hiring him the following day to take me to Bovilla Lake and Kruja to go hiking and sightseeing (my friends do not like to hike) so he set me up with a very good price for just myself and it was a blast. He is fluent in English and a few other languages and he is very knowledgeable about history and current events so I highly recommend reserving him for your trip! The drive itself from Ksamil to Tirana would’ve been over 5 hours so it was such a great idea to book him to not only be our taxi but to show us everything he could while venturing up. 10/10 !!!

Stop reading this and book this magical experience with Ari! This is my first time in Albania, and because of Ari, this won’t be my last! His tour was so much more than I envisioned! His passion for his country and knowledge, will make you have a crush on Albania! Even tho our lunch he planned was cancelled last minute, he quickly made other arrangements that were so special, I’m happy it was changed! He spent more than the allotted time and showed us so much a variety of landscape and unique places of southern Albania! I’ve taken tours all around the world and this was one of the best, he truly is meant to do this, such a gift! We talked, we laughed, we jammed out to music on the car rides…did you already book? I was originally planning to get the early morning public bus to Sarande and join a group tour from there, but when I came across Ari’s page and saw the reviews I decided to book him instead and see all the sights on the way to Sarande. And honestly, what a good job I did! Just spent the day with Ari exploring. He was an absolutely wonderful host - the day was filled with so much fun and so many beautiful places, and he was such easy company for a long car journey. He would say to me, ‘if you would like a nap, now is a good time’ etc etc and always made sure I had water and wasn’t hungry. When we did chat he taught me so much about Albanian life and culture - and he also helped me find a hotel when mine let me down at the last minute. You will not find a better host in Albania! Wish we could do today all over again Ari!

The whole tour was an amazing experience we had a 4 day tour so many exciting things to do and see and we could not get enough the food was so delicious and the people of Albania were extremely friendly and we would highly recommend to have this tour with Ari so you could not even think about nothing else only enjoying your vacations. It was really 3 fantastic days we spent under Ari's company. We visited some cities with very beautiful and interesting tourist attractions. We stayed one night in the beautiful city of Saranda where we had the opportunity to do a small boat tour in the evening. Ari is a good and very knowledgeable guy. He designed this tour perfectly and he could make us enjoy our holidays in Albania.

We went to Albania in September as we were told by our friends that this period of the Summer season is less crowded and enjoable. The day trip with Ari was absolutely amazing. We asked him to add some other attractions and so easy we visited Blue Eye, Gjirokaster, Thermal baths in Permet, Vlore and we drove along the Albanian Riviera (which was fantastic) back to Sarande. I just recommend to book that tour!

It is really as it has been said in other reviews that Ari is a generous guy, very hospitable and really good at the work he does. In fact, for him it is more a passion than a job. He speaks very kindly and is very inspired by the amazing beauty of his country, their culture and traditions. In addition he is a very good driver and drives carefully. We felt very safe. Regarding this tour, my family and I spent 2 fantastic days with unforgettable moments (Days 5 & 8 and we could get 17% discount). Traditional Albanian food is very tasty. Albania is a beautiful country in development and it is growing fast. We learned so many interesting fact of Albanian history and communisms. You must do this tour!

Our Guide Ari was wonderful! He was a kind spirit and very knowledgeable of the area. The best part of the tour was that Ari is very flexible and changed the route just to fulfill our desires to visit some other attractions in Saranda! We felt very appreciated as we did not expect such a change plan due to our request. Among the selected day trips we made in this amazing tour, we also made a private boat trip to Saranda after hearing a lot about the pristine and beautiful beach of Kroreza. Albania is undoubtedly one of the most interesting countries we have visited. Its nature, culture and history are amazing. The people there are very friendly and hospitable. The ride was very comfortable and also very good music on board, ranging from the best hits to the very old and traditional ones. We had the pleasure to have some traditional dance courses on the stage of the Gjirokastra castle festival. This was extremely exciting. Ari taught us a lot, but he is also very interested in the cultures of his guests and listening to their opinions. He knows how to approach people and is able to discover your interests. My friend and I did this tour. It was a great way to see the highlights of this country. We felt good along all the chosen day trips with Ari. Originally we were thinking about getting the bus or a rental car and doing this ourselves but it would have been so difficult. Ari drives very carefully and that's to be appreciated. He knows his country very well and which places to visit. We learned a lot about the history of Albania and we also enjoyed the beach and the thermal baths in Permet! That's quite comfortable when you get picked up and everything is handled for you so you can just relax and enjoy your holidays. Definitely one of the most amazing experience we had in the Albania as the views were absolutely beautiful. the local food is so delicious. Ari is very friendly and informative and we enjoyed every moment we had with him. It is very easy to communicate with him different topics. We visited all the places presented in Days 1-3-6-10. We were picked up at the airport and we travelled with a private car, which was very comfortable. My friends and I enjoyed these day trips with our new friend Ari who was also our guide. To be honest, we even forgot that he was a guide as felt like we knew him for years. The highlights of this amazing tour were the castles on the top of a mountain in Gjirokastra and Saranda and Kruja, the South Coastline of Albania, Vjosa river and Canyons. The view was aboluetly amazing. Ari is very knowledgeable on all the wonderful history in Albania and the region. He provided detailed information on what to see and where to go even that was above and beyond his wonderful tours. I highly recommend contacting him in advance as once he gets to know with you, he will definitely recommend you the best and what is in your interest. Ari loves his beautiful country and he is very ambitious. However, i really appreciate the way he behaves and respects people.
