Cathy did a spectacular job at showing us around the Terracotta army and Xi'An. Very knowledgeable, engaging and helpful - her style is excellent for getting a real understanding of the area, history, people and culture.

Lily is an extraordinary guide, her deep knowledge of Xian and surroundings, their history and their landmarks, her excellent English and friendly personality made the tour very enjoyable ... in addition Lily went way beyond her duty to help me solve problems unrelated to her tour ... I had broken my main camera in Taipei and wanted find a possible replacement ... Lily found a well stocked photography store (not easy in a country where most people think cell phones are cameras) which carried the brand I wanted and also shipped a couple of museum guide books back to me in Canada (which involved packaging the books and handling the post office/customs forms) ... this was a BIG contribution to make my visit to Xian a very special trip that I will always remember ... Lily also has a very good driver with a clean and modern vehicle ... Josef Hochleitner, Toronto

Had the best tour guide Michael. He was so knowledgeable and very informative. Also so kind. He heightened our experience with his wit and charm. Had so much fun. If you are ever in Xi’an then you can't miss the experience.

Michael was an amazing tour guide, 100% recommend, - he is professional, knowledgeable, kind and truly cares about his clients. I didn’t book this tour on time but he still managed to add me to a small private tour. If I had gone without Michael, I would have no idea where, when to go but also would never had learned the vast and interesting knowledge he gave. There was never a question he wasn’t able to answe, and he was always very caring. Michael made my Xian experience unforgettable, I feel very lucky to have been able to be toured by him as he went above and beyond true customer service. Highly recommended - you can’t get better than this.

We had a fantastic day out from start to finish. The expertise of our guide, Stephanie, treated us to so many insights and informative facts on the Terracotta Warriors and the driver was prompt and professional. She also helped us to take pictures and videos, which were brilliant. There were several activities to choose from, allowing us to customize the tour to meet our group needs. We decided to watch the show "Tuo Ling Legend" that was the highlight of the day and a great way to end our Silk Road trip. Highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely superb day out, from start to finish. The expertise of our guide Jackie was second to none. We were treated to so many interesting insights and quirky factoids. The pricing is more than fair considering the high standard of the certified guides. It's also worth mentioning the driver who was prompt and professional.

Lily was my tour guide and my trip to Xi'an would not have been the same without her indepth knowledge and brilliant story telling of China's ancient history and religions. I learnt so much on the tour about the Terracotta warriors, the emperor, and the big wild goose pagoda that I never would have gained without Lily's amazing tour. Lily also helped me to take pictures and videos which were brilliant. I also got to try some local biang biang noodles which were so tasty. The driver was excellent with air conditioned car and free bottled water. I highly recommend using Lily and her tour company to anyone who travels to Xi'an!

Our customised tour consisted of the terracotta warriors, cave dwellings and Han Yang Ling mausoleum with our guide, Jackie. Jackie was extremely friendly and shared about the various sites in a manner that was fun and easy to understand. He is experienced and knew how to navigate the sites such that it was minimal walking and supported our understanding. He even had additional pictures to show us and drew parallels to western historical facts. Han Yang Ling Mausoleum was an amazing place to visit! It had very little crowds and this allowed us to slowly go through the exhibits and ask Jackie any questions (which he enthusiastically answered). Lunch was Xi’an’s famous biang biang mian and Jackie gave great suggestions on what to eat! My family enjoyed the meal a lot!

Our tour of the Terracotta Army by Shine was both informative and fun. We also visited the golden goose pagoda in the afternoon. Shine’s English was excellent and she had a good sense of humour, saying my middle age spread made me look like a Buddha 😂😂😂

We toured with Jackie on a one day TW and old city tour. Jackie was funny and nice to hang out with but we felt a bit lacking in the information department. There was a bit of a language barrier. Not a bad tour, by any means, just not a great one. We had 3 tour companies on our trip to China, and this was our least favorite.

We decided to just spend the day in Xi'an and found Lily Sun who helped us making this day relaxed, easy and flawless. We used WeChat to communicate with Lily herself and her guides during the planning phase. You are always worried that people wont show up or there are misunderstandings, but both Lily and her guides were excellent in English and communication was easy. We arrived at Xi'an airport in the morning and Shina greeted us at the airport with our name sign. She took us to a van with a driver and we drove the 1+ hour to the Terracotta Warriors. She quickly went and picked up the tickets and took us thru the entry gates. This place is pretty big so it was nice to have someone that knew where to go. We went to grave site 1 first (the original site) and spent some time there - Shina told us what we needed to know inside and we could ask all the questions we wanted, she knew a lot and could answer all our questions. We then went to site 3 and again got the basic stories and could ask questions. Lastly we saw site 2. Shina was really good at giving us the time we needed. We did spend a couple of hours there at least, we then drove about an hour back to see the Xian city walls, an impressive structure and she told us the history here as well. Spent about 30-45 minutes here on the wall (such a contrast inside and outside the walls). We then drove to the Muslim quarter where we saw the different food places and all the life here. We had set off too little amount of time to really have the time here. We had booked a train out of Xian to Changedu so we kind of rushed the last part.. But that was totally our fault - and our main reason for visiting Xian was to visit the TCW. If you need a tour and you want someone to handle it - Lily Sun Tour will make it enjoyable and easy for you.. She answers quickly and prices are fair.

My wife and I and our five month old baby did this tour while spending a weekend in Xi’an. Our tour guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable. He also helped us navigate a baby and stroller through very crowded areas at the Terracotta Army Museum. Both Michael and our driver were very accommodating, and Michael also gave us great restaurant recommendations for the weekend in Xi’an.

Lily was responsive and very help while planning the trip with me. During the trip, we faced some issues and she came down personally to resolve it. My flight was rescheduled to two days later and she helped my family to arrange for transport and hotel to other cities. Thank you so much Lily and really appreciate all the help!

We were truly lucky to have Michael (Chang) as our tour guide and Mr. Ma as our professional driver in Xian for our tour. Both of them were really professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We started the day right on-time and had a really wonderful time even though it was raining (moderately) for half the day. Michael gave us some really good insights and a history lesson about ancient China before reaching the warrior's tomb. Despite the much heavier than normal crowd (due to the school holiday period in China), we had managed to cover quite a lot at the warrior's tomb because Michael had carefully guided us through the most important sights. Lunch was equally great at a nearby noodle shop. Best of all, Michael has managed to engage with the children (7 to 16 tears old) and they are actually looking forward to our next trip in China! Xiexie Michael and Lily's private tour.

The tour was excellent. Jackie (our tour guide) picked us up from our hotel at 8am as pre-arranged and we drove to the Terracotta Warriors site. On the trip there Jackie, gave us extensive information about the historical relevance of the warriors and and Silk road. The tour of the Terracotta army was very interesting and Jackie knew how to get us out of the crowds and lessen the stress of a very busy trip. Lunch was local noodles - very tasty and then a trip to Hanyangling Mausoleum, this is a MUST. A very quiet, hidden away site - like a miniature version of the Terracotta Warriors where the "warriors" are smaller and there are many other guardians at the site. Walk on glass floors to see the relics. Excellent trip made all that much better by an excellent guide with good English and very good knowledge of the sites and history of China

Michael from LilyXianPrivate Tours picked the three of us up at our hotel on time. He confirmed the reservation a couple days before as well. Michael spoke very good English & was extremely knowledgeable throughout our tour. He took us in an air conditioned van to the Terracotta Museum where we toured the many buildings. Michael was very patient to stop for souvenirs or pictures. Michael then brought us to a traditional Xi’an restaurant where we ate some delicious local food. We then went to the City wall & the Muslim quarters where there was plenty of time for shopping & sampling food. It was an awesome experience. I highly recommend Lily’s private tours & Michael was a fantastic guide.

Lingtao provided an excellent guided tour for us of the Terracotta Warriors. He arrived at 7:00 am to pick us up and got us to the site at 8:30am as the site was opening to give us the least crowded experience. This experience was worth every second as Lingtao gives you the right balance of explanation and time to explore the site on your own. I would highly recommend this guided tour to all that want an effective tour of one of the most visited places in China.
