Shawn was the BEST tour guide we have ever experienced!! We learned about the people, the history, the culture and ate amazing food! This was the first time I’ve visited a place and felt like I was apart of their culture and we left so knowledgeable and grateful. I recommend Shawn to everyone!! Seriously 10/10 experience. Our tour guide - Eddy - picked us up right on time in a very clean and newer van. He is an awesome guide and an even better person. He was super accommodating in a couple of stops we had not asked for but added on. He also took us to a couple of his favorite places that we had no idea existed. It was an awesome day. Truly an amazing experience touring the East Shore of O’ahu with Shawn of Blue Hawaii Tours. He gave us an incredible history of the islands, the people, and the culture. My children learned so much and said five hours felt like ten minutes. Stopped at almost ten scenic and historic sights. Highly, highly recommend.

We just got back from an amazing trip in Oahu. Shaun took our family of 9 on a day trip around the island- ages ranging from 10 to 92. We were all blown away! His enthusiasm, knowledge of the island and incredible storytelling ability really brought the island alive. And he was just as great with the little ones as the older ones - going so far as to jump off rocks at Eternity Beach with the 14-year-old, and hanging with our 92-year-old Aunti as we took on the Dole plantation. He was patient and funny, and up for anything. I highly recommend him! This incredible day flew by.

Not what we expected in terms of vehicle condition or guide when spending this kind of money for a private tour of island.

He took time to explain all the sights we visited, including a great story/description of the Pali lookout site. The island tour was amazing Shawn provided us with a lot of information and gave us time at each stop to enjoy. He was very patient with us and answered all of our questions. Amazing time!

This custom tour with Cousin Sean was worth every penny and ended up being the highlight of our trip. The 8-hour tour went by in a flash, and Sean taught us so much about the island's history in a way that was accessible, interesting, and thoughtful. Our cheeks hurt from laughing and our bellies were full of delicious food by the end of the trip! As three gals in our 40s, we appreciated the comfort of the van and the ability to modify the tour as much as we wanted. Sean took lots of pictures for us - and with us! And left us with great recommendations for restaurants and other activities on the island for the remainder of our stay. Highly recommend!

The trip was great and I’m really glad we took it as we were able to see so much in one day. Our tour guide Shaun was great and taught us so much about the Hawaii’s history as we went to the different sites. The views were absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for more as far as the sites. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the island.

I have been to Hawaii many times in the Navy, however this was my wife first time. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary. Of everything we did on vacation Shawn was the best experience that we had. Shawn gave us a great visual tour of the island but a amazing history tour of the island. Shawn was a blast, took pictures, more of a family member than tour guide, great personality, fun, entertaining and a great tour guide. At the beginning of the tour Shawn said he would test our knowledge of the islands I think we passed. I strongly recommend Shawn to anyone taking this tour. Love you cuz!!!!!!

All the way through our driver, Shawn, was so fun to ride around the island with! Even though he has seen these sites, 1 million times before, I’m sure , Shawn was SO excited about telling us what everything was as we were cruising the breathtaking coastline, AND DONT LET HIM PASS The local food trucks and shaved ice stands! Shawn was very knowledgeable, only a lifetime of familiarity of the island brings, he was fun, and energetic, so easy to ask questions to, and converse with. He was so easygoing like he had been a friend of ours for years! Not to mention, Shawn was a very safe driver! That we were on the coast line the majority of the time there were times that we were in Honolulu traffic, and I felt completely safe and relaxed the entire drive with no worries and just enjoying learning and seeing, and it was amazing! Not to mention I’m in a wheelchair and he was so accommodating getting my chair in and out of the van at our stops and assisting me to get in the van when I needed help! It was incredibly kind! And so above what I was expecting!…. (oh my gosh not to mention I lost my expensive sunglasses that I just bought in one of the vans. A week later Shawn said that another driver had found them! Shawn messaged me and shipped them to me AMAZING! So kind and thoughtful. He exudes definition of Hawaii and its culture!) SHAWN, you da’ man cuz! Mahalo!!!! We were thrilled with our tour and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Dave was knowledgeable, pleasant and so much fun. We stopped to see many interesting places and crammed a lot of sightseeing in a short amount of time that we had available. By your he time the tour came to an end, we felt like we had made a new friend. We highly recommend this tour and if you can, ask for Dave!!!!

Dave picked us up at 8:30 from our cruise since our flight wasn't until 5:45pm. We enjoyed a complete tour of Oahu from our view of Diamond Head to Waimea Falls to lunch at the food trucks, past the Polynesian Cultural Center and on to the Blow Hole before ending at the airport at 3:30. He was knowledgeable and offered fun bits of information. He was flexible and asked questions to determine what we were interested in. We highly recommend him and this company.
