This was both fun and informative. Dael was equally excellent in explaining Peruvian foods in San Pedro Market and showing us how to cook them back at the studio. And he emailed us all of the recipes after the class so we didn’t have to take notes. Highly recommended!

We had a rough start. There were 3 of us who booked on Viator the day before and when we went to the meeting place, we waited for over 20 minutes for the guide. We called all the phone numbers available but could not reach anyone so we walked to the cooking studio. The staff who opened the door seemed confused and didn't offer any solutions. One woman came over with the scheduling person on the phone who apologized and acknowledged having issues with getting notifications from Viator. She said we could stay to do the cooking class and gave us a 15 percent refund for missing the market tour. We greatly appreciated the apology but I don't really think this was a fair refund considering the difficulty of navigating this situation without any help from the company. This was a very frustrating and a challenging situation to deal with in a foreign country but the chef was very nice and we had a lot of fun in the class. The class was the most important part anyway. The food was great and the class was engaging. Chef Dael was genuine and knowledgeable. If booking through Viator the day before, I suggest calling the vendor to ensure they got your reservation (if you can get through). The communication was not good and they did not answer the phone so I'm giving 3 stars. The chef and class itself deserves 5 stars.

Had an amazing time at this class! Dael was so informative and very helpful. Touring the market was a great start to teaching us about the area. The class area was nice and very accommodating. Had so much fun learning how to make the traditional recipes. We were able to do our own work after it was demonstrated. Food was tasty and got recipes after!

Chef was amazing. So fun and knowledgeable. Took us for a tour of the market before our class to introduce us to some of the ingredients. Kitchen studio was clean, organized and beautifully appointed. His staff were incredible and the whole experience was enjoyable. Highly recommend.

We started with a tour of the wonderful San Pedro market and Dael was the perfect guide introducing us to a range of fruit and vegetables we'd never seen before. We ended up going back to the market later because it was so friendly and cheaper than buying from the shops. Dael then took us to his kitchen which is super clean and stylish. We made a drink, a starter, a main and a dessert. The whole experience was informative and fun. Would highly recommend.

Excellent experience! To start my sister and I walked around the market where Dael taught us a lot about the different foods in the region. He was great at answering all of our questions. Then we walked back to the kitchen where we created a delicious meal of many courses! Would highly recommend!

Dael was very knowledgeable about the market and the region. We learned a lot and were able to taste the flavors of Cusco. It was a lot less intimidating going into the market with someone that could summarize it into bite sized pieces and answer questions. We made three types of ceviche, hibiscus pisco sours, stuffed peppers, potato soup, potatoes gratin, and more. Some was very unique flavored and not something I would’ve eaten at home but I’m so glad to have gotten this insight into the culture. The presentation of the food was restaurant quality too.

It was amazing - our chef was so well versed in cuisine - not just Peruvian. He welcomed questions and always had answers - it is also one of the best meals I ate in Cusco - Definitely worth the money - and you learn a lot.

Fortunately I was the only student that and it became a private tour. Dael met me at the San Pedro market and showed me around to learn the queso, coffee, fruits, spice…. everything! We walked several blocks to the studio for the lesson and he taught me how to make the Pisco Sour, soup, main course, and dessert. You will do each step by yourself but if you can’t make it, don’t worry, he will help you. Dael is a professional chef from a chef family. He knows everything about food and cooking. You will get the recipe in the end. I recommend this trip to every foodie.

Dael was an amazing guide/ chef for the afternoon - we walked through the market to learn more about the ingredients we would use, and then cooked an amazing three / four course meal with delicious Pisco sours. It was a fantastic insight into some very unique ingredients that are found in Peru. Dael was always very helpful in answering any questions we had and explaining all ingredients in full. I would recommend this experience to all.

We met Dael at San Pedro Market, where he gave us an informative and colorful tour. We were fortunate to have him to ourselves, as there were no other participants that afternoon. After a thorough explanation of the ingredients being used in our culinary experience, plus a few tasty samples, we headed to the cooking school. The facilies there were organized and well equipped. We were each given our own station in order to ensure maximum participation. Everything was executed like clockwork, and we were able to make many different Peruvian dishes, including three different ceviches, a soup course, a main course of potato gratin, stuffed peppers and a salad. Dessert was comprised of delicious fresh fruit and fruit sorbet. We also made Pisco sours, shaking up our cocktails. Dael was accommodating to our needs and answered all our questions. What a delightful way to be introduced to Cuzco, Peru and its delicious cuisine.

Such an amazing experience. Highly recommend! Being able to go round the markets with a guide and explaining all the different peruvian foods made the experience even better. The ceviche we made was an 11 out of 10. So yum. The guide was amazing, super friendly and informative. Loved our experience and have already recommended it to other friends

Took to class with Chef Deal Rozas Calderon. Deal was extremely knowledgeable, very personable, a genuinely a please to spend the morning with. We started in the market collecting our supplies. Each purchase came with great explanations of the foods uses and history. Then it was on to the kitchen studio for preparation, cooking and eating. Deal was a wonderful kitchen instructor who again explained, demonstrated and helped where needed. I would highly recommend trying this experience with Chef Deal.
