We had a great time on this tour. Simon was very informative and engaging. We LOVE the planetarium and seeing Saturn and Jupiter through the telescope. But the highlight of the tour was seeing sunset from the rooftop of a local bar. The lighting and view were incredible. Would recommend!

I was a bit nervous running around which is any tour guide company. My friend is more worldly than I and scheduled this and our guide did not disappoint! Not only did I feel safe we got great lessons about the city and country . The most fascinating was the not for profit they work with and help in the children in the high mountains with schools, chromebooks, skills and more! The dinner portion of our tour we got to meet his nephew who happened to be our guide at the planetarium and his beautiful Bonita! I hope to stay in contact and recommend using this company anytime!

Valentine did an outstanding job walking us around and the wealth of knowledge was great. Being American, and failed miserably trying to learn the language, it was great that Valentine's English was supreme. Would recommend. The dinner part was amazing as we had dinner with him and several of his family members.

Our evening was just as described on the promotion for this tour. It is a good excursion, whether you are new to town and need to take it easy on your first few days, or if you’ve already been here a short while, like us. My teenage daughter and I had a wonderful, casual and informative evening with our guide, Ernesto. He was very attentive and thoughtful. And he spoke English very well. Thank you to Ernesto and the team from Valentin’s Pachamama Journeys for your attention to detail from beginning to end!

Valentin and Kenny were the most knowledgeable, passionate, interesting and personable tour guides. Traveled to Peru with my daughter and son in law along with his parents. Letting Valentin know that I had bum knees, he took the utmost care in helping me navigate everything involved with the tour. We enjoyed San Pedro market, the Plaza square with our Pisco sours, the planetarium, and the best chicken dinner with Valentin, son Kenny and his wife. He told us so many details and facts about the history of Cusco. Valentin is such a fascinating man in his tour guide life and his private life. An outstanding human being all around. Guess I will have to go back one day so I can see his farm in the Sacred Valley!

The entire tour was amazing. Valentin was so thoughtful and caring, and really we all enjoyed him as a tour guide so much. He really took time to show us all around the city and planetarium, and could not imagine our trip without doing this. 10/10 for sure. If you are going to Cusco, this is a must book trip with Valentin.

We used Valentin for our tour of Cusco. We couldn’t have been more happier with everything we did. We learned so much about Cusco and the people of the region. His English is wonderful and you will remember forever the stories he tells. If you can book him for any of the tours he does I am sure you will be very happy.

10/10 tour with Deyvis! We learned so much about Cusco, Inca tradition and more in our walking tour around San Pedro market and other key sites. Deyvis was super knowledgeable and great fun! The planetarium was spectacular, too. Would definitely recommend - a great way to spend an afternoon and evening in Cusco.

We had a great time on this tour. The market place was a good trip to have someone who can explain in detail what you are looking at. The planetarium is great to learn about Inka cosmology. They compare and contrast western and Inka astronomy well. Pisco needs no explanation. It’s a nice start to the adventure while we acclimatized to the altitude. I would definitely suggest this to a friend. Thanks

Valentin first showed us around Cusco in the evening and shared with us details about Cusco’s history before taking us to the Planetarium, which was later followed by a delicious local dinner. It was an amazing evening. Valentin is extremely knowledgeable about Cusco’s history and shared with us details about his childhood and growing up in Cusco. We enjoyed his insight tremendously. The Planetarium was a unique experience that we highly recommend. It was also very romantic. Overall our experience was exceptional and we think any trip to Cusco would be incomplete without a tour with Valentin’s Pachamama tour experience.

Carlos picked us up at our hotel at the appointed time and whisked us off to the Inka museum where he imparted all kinds of interesting information about the displays in the museum, showing us the ancient tools such as leveling devices that the people had used to construct their amazing structures. Afterwards we relaxed with a drink overlooking the main plaza. The trip to the planetarium was very interesting as it was a good introduction to the night sky as perceived by the ancient people.

My boyfriend booked this tour after he saw that we could go to the Planetarium in Cusco and learn about how the Inca read the night sky. We were thoroughly impressed and thought this tour was one of the best experiences we had in Cusco. Valentin, our tour guide and the founder of this tour company, met us in front of our hotel and we headed to San Pedro Market. Inside the market, Valentin patiently and thoroughly gave us an overview of many food and produce that the locals shop. We saw llama jerky, San Pedro cactus, some artifacts used in local religious ceremony, tried some local cheese, chocolate, and smelled some coffee. Then we headed to a restaurant/bar right next to Plaza de Armas and sat at the balcony to enjoy one of the best pisco sours we had in Peru. While we sipped on the strong and delicious drink, we were able to people watch as Valentin explain about the Incan culture. Then we headed (walked to the meeting point where the people from the Planetarium had a shuttle bus ready to pick us up) to the Planetarium which was family owned. The planetarium show was amazing and the owners were very thoughtful, giving each visitor a blanket to use throughout the night as we got cozy under own blanket while we learned about the stars. After the show, we were able to come out to the yard and saw Saturn, the Moon, and Jupiter through three giant telescope. It was magical to see the rings of Saturn and the craters on the moon. The owner served us hot muna tea as we stood in the night sky observing with awe the magnificant uniserve above us. Then we got transported back to the city area and walked to dinner which was rotisserie chicken with French fries. It was one of the best meals I had in Peru. It sounds so simple and plain, but the chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. Apparently it is a local favorite spot as well as we saw many Peruvian family and couples enjoying the same meal that Valentin ordered for us. My boyfriend is vegetarian, and he was still able to enjoy other items from the menu. Overall, I highly recommend anyone who is visiting Cusco to come on this tour! The pisco sour, the rotisserie chicken, the market tour, and learning about how to read the stars make every second and dollar spent totally worth it!

Our tour guide, Simon, was on time to our hotel. Very friendly and easy going. We walked down through the market and he picked out a bunch of local fruits for us to try which was really cool. He got us the best churros ever!! The planetarium was really cool, we got to see Jupiter and Saturn with the telescopes and all the employees there were super nice. It is very cold at the planetarium so dress warmly! They do give you blankets. Dinner was pretty good, it’s a local breasted chicken place. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Cusco by Night was truly an amazing tour and I feel very fortunate to have spent the evening touring with Valentin. There was four of us in our group and we joined another group of two and we all had an amazing time. Valentin picked us up at our hotel and walked us to San Pedro market, all along explaining significant sights and buildings along the way. It was fantastic having him explain how each section of the market worked and trying foods and observing things unique to the area. From there we enjoyed a Pisco sour while looking over the plaza de armas (best pisco sour I had while in Peru). Valentin was highly knowledgeable about Cusco, history, cultural and political landscape, and was fascinating to listen to him unpack everything. From there we enjoyed going up to the planetarium which was awesome and we got lucky with the weather to see the moon, Saturn and Jupiter very clearly through the telescopes (though just the planetarium show alone was well worth it). The night ended with a fantastic meal (had some vegans in our group which he accommodated no problem), and another enlightening conversation with Valentin who dazzled us with his love, care, and knowledge of Cusco and Peru. Highly recommend, worth it if you have a free afternoon/ evening to spend in Cusco.
