Very unique event - to cruise close historical monasteries. Staff, polite and available for all time cruising

Let me say the detracting things first to get them out. I think they overbooked because we had no place to sit. And there were about maybe 8 others we were struggling with to find a place to sit or stand. Secondly, no binoculars were handed out so I'm guessing that was changed or another reviewer made a mistake about what this tour offered. The audio was reasonably well done, but I couldn't catch all of it due to people talking or other noise (wind, motor, location where I was standing,...) Since my fiance is Russian, I asked her if they spoke in Russian and she said they did, however I can't verify content being same as English. So here are the good remarks; Friendly, helpful crew, including the barkeep. Excellent cruise, with lots of things to see and keep you engaged. We would have liked to land at the end of the island even for like 10 minutes, but I understand it was not part of the cruise. The ship was very comfortable and had plenty of places to stand and walk around, get out of sun, safe and secure. I was very fortunate to get a parking space right as I drove in but plan ahead because there are about 3 other cruises that launch and the parking gets filled rapidly. We both had a double cappucino and pastries which served our appetite well enough on board, but they have snacks, drinks, beers, and cocktails available. Overall, a very good experience. The Greeks know how to be gracious and accommodating.

Missed departure due to traffic jam. Refund of the ticket price was rejected without and reason. You don't need to book here, there are plenty of possibilities to book on site.

Theres not a lot to do in that part of Halkidiki and this trip broke up the week. And what a trip. The boat is comfortable. The views were fantastic. The crew even handed out binoculas. Overall fantastic value for money. Highly recommend it. Thanks guys!

This tour is okay. The company collected us from out hotel, which was ideal. The boat trip itself was stunning. Loads of scenery, and we briefly saw some dolphins. The monasteries are fascinating, as it mount athos itself. It is a bilingual guided tour, so at some point throughout the trip, you'll hear some info about the monasteries in your language. Food and drink is available on the boat at an extra cost, and the boat does have toilets. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because the staff let it down. Apart from the bus driver, they were all miserable, quite blunt. As if tourists are an inconvenience... Even though we pay their wages.. 🤔Someone asked the captain if he could close one of the sun canopies, to which he grunted and didn't do. In general, not particularly hospitable. But this seems to common in this part of the world I recommend the boat trip, but don't expect a welcoming smile from anyone.

The boat is large but not huge so you may want to board a little early to take the best seats(top). Make sure to have sunscreen and a good 🎥

Very interesting trip to an UNESCO site although it should be stated clearly that you will not going on-site, you will stay on the boat for the entire trip. The announcements vary in the different languages and are not very clear to hear. A good proposal for changing a beach day but not recommended for families with small children

Wonderful experience, plenty of space on boat, well shaded, and enough space to take photos. We were getting on a boat close to departure time, but crew was waiting until we parked our car. During the trip, one of the crew members was narrating trip in 5 languages (Greek, Serbian, English, German, and I think Russian). We had a visit from a monk, from one of the monasteries. He gave blessings to those who wanted, brought with him icons and relics). Total trip lasted about 3.5 hours. Highly recommended.

Fantastic door to door service. Excellent VFM. Collection prompt , 4 hour boat trip , English commentary difficult to hear over speakers, but the views were spectacular. Boat has good clean facilities . Start of season and not busy.

Very interesting three-hour trip, you can see eight of the large Athos monasteries. Though the boat is not allowed to get closer than 500 meters towards the coast, you get a really good impression of the buildings. Take some binoculars with you! There's a shop for souvenirs, drinks and snacks on the ship. Smooth booking process via internet, we did it the day before.

Amazing experience. It was a pleasure to spend nice time exploring Monasteries and to see lovely dolphins which really made my holiday special. Also excellent service is provided with guided tour operators. It's definitely worth to do this activity again 😊

We did this boat trip on the spur of the moment and were really glad we did. It is the only way that you can see any of the monesteries and the great vies of Mount Athos as the penninsular is closed to all visitors. Great trip and we thought reasonably priced as takes over 2 hrs.

In September the sun is not heating that much, but is still very warm and enjoyable, so pick up a day or two and make a nice cruise, specially if you have not seen the Saint Mountain before or you are not allowed to visit it. On boarding the boat you will be taken a picture with the captain, and then they will print it out for a few euros for you, or provide you with a keys-holder with this.If you know which monastery on the south side of the Saint Mountain you love the most, you can tell chose that one as a backgroud or additional image. Be advised, it can be really windy, so make sure you take a hat or cap that can be fixed on your had, if you do not plan to present that to dolphins. Also take a loaf of bread or some other pastery, 10 km from Ouranopolis there is a "base" of segals, which will ask you to pay some "tax" for awesome emotions of them picking the crumbs from your finders on the fly! ;)

Found the trip on TripAdvisor and had glowing reviews. We were able to check availability and pay through TripAdvisor all very easy. The boat company offered free pick up from our hotel which was very handy. We were picked up at 10am in an 8 seater minibus with 2 other hotel pick ups before arriving at the harbourside at 10.30 in plenty of time for our 11am departure. We were welcomed on board and presented the tickets on the phone which saved on paper. There was a choice of seating, up on top with a sun shade, out the front in the sun or inside which was where light refreshments could be bought. We decided up on top with padded seats and tables. I wish now we’d gone for the left hand side as this had the better view of the monasteries and coastline. We set off on time and followed a very pretty coastline towards Mount Athos. We saw the first monastery about 45 mins in. Commentary was via 2 large speakers and in 5/6 different languages, some were louder than others. The English wasn’t always that clear but we got the gist of it. The monasteries were bigger than I was expecting and very interesting to see, some down at sea level and others built high up into the rock face/ mountain, not sure we saw 20 but definitely in the teens. After about 1hr 45 mins the boat turned round and I thought then sitting on the right hand side we’d get the better view but the boat went further out to sea, I assume looking for dolphins so the view of the monasteries on the way back was more distant. There was no commentary on the way back and we didn’t get to see any dolphins 😔. I was worried as I’d forgotten my seasickness tablets but I was absolutely fine so all good. We got back into the harbour at 2.30 in time for lunch at one of the harbour front tavernas. A very pleasant trip along the coast to see the monasteries.

A lovely boat takes you on a gentle ride along the coast. Interesting facts are given in different languages so no one misses out. Helpful staff who are happy to help with any questions. Bar not overly priced which is good 😊 with a varity of drinks and food available. Lots of seats in shade and sun so something for everyone Photos taken as you arrive in the boat were surprisingly cheap and a lovely reminder of the day. As the Trip along the coast draws to an end the boat turns and makes a quicker return not hugging the coast only to meet up with Dolphins playing in the sea around the boat... ‘Dolphins to the right of the boat’ and scary moment when everyone rushes right and the boat tilts but as they swim round scary no more 😊 I would definitely suggest taking this trip. It’s 3 hours of time spent well. I loved every minute.
