The port was closed due to weather condition that day. We only found out that same morning when we were supposed to dock. Both the local operator and Viator responded quickly to my WhatsApp , really within seconds, telling me not to worry. It will be 100% refunded. Even though I didn't get to see the Magellanic penquins but their service truly impressed me. I am always skeptical in booking anything outside from cruise ship. But now I know they are reliable and of course, of a great better price. Will definitely book from them for future cruises and other land tour.

It was nice to start the trip early in the morning. We were the first group of visitors to reach Punta Tombo that day. It was great when the light was good, the beach less crowded, and penguins more active. We still were able to see plenty of penguins in the end of March, which was a major concern for us and even the tour guide. The bus had plenty of leg room and the seat was comfortable, which was important for a 2.5 hour ride. The lunch box had good portion size and the taste was Ok.

Our tour guide Pitu and the driver René were very knowledgeable. Pitu really knows everything about penguins and other animal in the area. Highly recommended.

The highlight for me was the expectation of seeing lots of penguins up close. This was a long walk along a boardwalk to see the penguins at a distance. There were scattered penguins along the way that were close up, and we were able to see the nests with small babies nestled inside.

Long ride, but we did not feel it at all! Were picked up at the end of the pier. All on time. Great excursion 1/2 of the price of the same tour the cruise ship offers. Lots of penguins really really close by!!! Highly recommend! Thanks guys!!

the Guide was very good, but it was a 2.5hrs drive there and back and although there were a couple of hundred penguins on the beach and 20 or so dotted along the walk to the beach, it was too far and too expensive.

Our tour guide (Mariana?) was well prepared, knowledgeable and informative. Alex from the tour operator actually texted me as soon as I booked the tour and we corresponded of every changes in our cruise schedule. We saw and took pictures of cute Magellanic penguins in their rookeries. Highly recommended tour!

Mariana was a wonderful guide. She explained about her country, had visual aids and was very open to questions. She gave very good instructions in clear English and was easy to understand. The walk to see the penguins was much further than anticipated and really needs to be explained in detail. It is not wheelchair / walker friendly. The boardwalk is uneven and there are areas that are quite uneven.

This was a very well organized tour, they were efficient and great in communicating thru Whatsapp on the time and meeting place. This tour started early and we got there before all the big buses showed up. Our tour guide Marcela was very good and very enthusiastic, armed with a wealth of information about the wild animals in the area. She was great in spotting and pointing out animals we encountered. We saw an armadillo!! She was a bit hard to understand sometimes, but she more than make up this deficiency with all the pluses. We did come late for this tour (March), all the penguin chicks were gone. U need to come earlier, January or February.

Great communication from the tour company before we arrived. Knew exactly where to meet them and how to find them. Tour was exactly as described and we were impressed with the guides local knowledge. Great information about the culture and Heritage of local people. Saw penguins at end of the season so not millions but still enough to be impressed. Would recommend this tour company!

March 2024 Tour was ok, but very disappointed as to the amount of penguins we saw! Expected to see the largest colony in the world! If this is not the time of year then this tour should not be sold!

As described, we saw penguins, Guanacos, sheep, horses, flamingos, and penguins. Lunch was enough for 2 people. Driver and guide were good. Wish they filled in some of the long driving time with asking people where they were from or with a silly game.

Alex organized our tour booking very nicely. Our cruise was late, they waited at the port. Our guide Mariana is very nice, very knowledgeable, gave us a lot of information about the area and wildlife. We didn’t see a lot of penguins, only some juveniles.

Very good tour; would highly recommend. Beautiful landscape at Punta Tombo. Saw LOTS of penguins! They just walk right over the boardwalk in front of you. Lunch was included and they were accommodating when the cruise ship docking times changed a bit.

I booked this tour because it is “wheelchair accessible.” That is true, but be advised you need a chair that can handle gravel & rock. There is a wooden boardwalk but there are some parts that are rock. My chair was able to handle it. Hugo (guide) & Rene (driver) were very friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable about the area & wildlife we would see. It was so cool to see penguins just walk right up to the path & then keep on going to their nests. You will see penguins from the beginning of the boardwalk, too.

This was a great day out in the Argentinian Patagonia. It was a long 2 1/2 hour drive to Punta Tombo but through some interesting countryside. It allowed us to appreciate the extent and diversity of this beautiful country. Once at Punta Tombo there was a long walk to reach the penguin colony. Once there we saw at close quarters hundreds of Maguellan penguins in their own environment and there were lots of good photo opportunities. Overall a good day out. Our guide was very informative and provided us with lots of information and anecdotes not only on the wild life and natural environment but also on the history and development of the area and its inhabitants.

We were treated so well on this tour. The bus for this excursion was easy to spot at the pier. Our guide (I think his name was Hugo) made sure we were comfortable and even ordered another bus with better air conditioning. We stopped in Trelew to see the dinosaur sculpture. We saw many guanacos along the way. He had good English and gave us good insight into the animals we saw, as well as the country. We were given a generous lunch that we ate on the bus on the way back. We were totally amazed at the thousands of Magellanic penguins that we saw at this preserve. You definitely walked among them. We respected their right for us to not get closer than one meter. Their nests were among the scrub brush. There were approximately 100,000 penguins there. We learned so much and were definitely back to our ship with time to spare. This tour is not to be missed!

It was great to see the penguins and the guanacos in their environment. It was VERY windy! It is a long ride and I was a little worried about getting back to the ship, but we made it! Glad we did this.
