Our guide, Mary, was excellent with the ability to tell us all about the region, the history, the wildlife etc. We stopped at the visitors center and moved on into the wildlife refuge. Saw a ton of guanacos and some mara as well. Our driver, Pablo, had eagle eyes and could spot them pulling the van over so we could see. At the shore we saw a couple of Magellanic penguins (most penguins had migrated from there already). We continued on to the elephant seal colony which was impressive. Lastly they added on a trip on the way back to a sea lion colony. Overall a great day. Bagged lunch/snack/water provided.

Mary as guide and Pedro as driver were an excellent team pointing out the varied wildlife we saw. This is a very beautiful area and the tour was excellent. Highly recommended.

Sentir Patagonia Travel is an Excellent Tour Group. I highly recommend them for any tour or cruise shore excursion you may choose. They were organized, communicated well, start to finish and the tour was exactly as I expected. Having said that, it is important that if you choose a tour to Peninsula Valdez, you understand where you are going and what you MAY or MAY not see. The roads are rough and the animals are wild. So to get anywhere takes a long time (as the reviews, our guide and I knew before) and wild animals show up whenever, wherever (as the reviews our guide and I knew before.). So for me, the tour was exactly as expected with an amazing tour guide Carolina Garcia, exceptional well-prepared, knowledgeable and talked about the animals whether we saw them or not. We had a great driver that stopped and wiggled the bus best as possible to help us see whatever animals we could. But we went at the end of the season, on a very windy day and so we saw LOTS of Guanacos, no penguins and LOTS of Elephant Seals and one scurrying armadillo. We saw a great deal of Peninsula Valdez. It was what I expected. But you will enjoy it, appreciate it and rate it highly if you understand exactly what you are choosing. Sentir Patagonia Travel has lots of choices and will work with you to get what you want. The buses were smaller size and in GREAT shape, far better than many other places we have toured.

Nice guide and driver. Did their best to take us to the best areas to see sea lions. Penguins were scarce due to time of year.

Excursion was ok but far too much time spent sitting on a coach. To begin with was about 40 minutes from the dock to the first visiting point with about 20 minute stop time. We then set off for another 1 hour 30 minutes (minimum) before a five minute stop to see the penguins. It was only five minutes because there wasn’t any to see. We then continued for about ten minutes to see the seals which was about an hour stop. After this hour we returned the same journey back to the cruise dock with a five minute stop. Lunch was provided on the coach eating as we drove along. I acknowledge it’s not the companies fault for no penguins being seen but all in all for a seven hour excursion we were sitting on a coach for over 5 hours. However we were informed there was only two seen the day before - maybe another option could have been offered. The whole experience is based on seeing the penguins.

Our guide, Santiago, is also a nature photographer, so he was always able to spot the animals, birds and even insects that we saw along the drive through Peninsula Valdes. He brought us to see unusual animals like maras and rheas, as well as the sea lion colonies. In addition, we stopped at a hugh salt flat created by an old tide pool when the area was covered with sea water. It was a wonderful trip, a very nice bag lunch and entertaining and informative conversation with a guide who is very knowledgeable of the area.

We had excellent communication with the tour operator, which was essential since weather impacted our itinerary. The meeting point at the end of the pier was easy to find, and we left with our guide very efficiently. Our visit to the area was at the end of summer, and much of the sea begun their migrations. Still, we saw penguins, seals, sea lions. Just not as many as you would expect in a higher season. Along the way, we saw many guanaco, and mara, and a hawk. Our guide Diego spoke excellent English, and made sure that we had enough time to visit the important sites and get back to ship with time to spare. Some things that you should know. This tour involves a long drive - about 2.5 hours each way - and half of that drive is over gravel road. Any tour from port to see wildlife will have similar travel times. If you are prone to motion sickness you might want to ensure you have a small tour. Ours was a group of 12, so 14 people including driver and guide in a 15-seat tour bus. There was not too much walking on this tour. We made a number of stops and at each one there was a short walk. In short, this is an excellent tour with a well run tour company with knowledgeable and experienced guide and driver. I would book with them again without hesitation. Thanks!

We actually booked through Shore Excursions Group to take advantage of the money back if we didn’t make it to port. The ship’s schedule changed dramatically several times, but as promised, Sentir Patagonia was waiting for us 30 minutes after arrival with a blue balloon. We were on a bus with 15-20 others from our ship, with Gustavo driving and Martin as guide. They both are excellent at spotting animals and birds, although no specific animal is guaranteed on any particular tour, weather and season dependent. We saw guanacos, a mara, chioques, elephant seals, and a few Magellanic penguins, as well as some burrowing owls at the end of the tour. We were given plenty of notice of what was coming, how long each drive would be, and when restrooms would be available. Great tour, knowledgeable guide!

Mary and the driver Eduardo , gave us a fabulous experience.Mary pointed out various wildlife on our trip and we felt very safe with Eduardo who was the driver who had to drive on unsurfaced roads with ruts . We knew from the information on the trip that we would be on the bus for a long time to our destination and it was. but we found the time passed as Mary was very informative . We were able to stop on the way for a short while to see an exhibition and use the facilities . On the trip when Mary saw an animal of interest Eduardo would stop and give us time to look. During the drive we saw birds of prey , guanacos , and were lucky enough to see Gauchos on horseback rounding up the sheep. At the peninsular we saw elephant seals and penguins , when we had time to take photographs . It was an amazing trip , so thank you Mary and Eduardo . Also thanks to Diego who we met at the cruise terminal. It was the trip never to be forgotten so thank you to Mary and Eduardo.

Our tour guide was amazing. He had a tremendous amount of knowledge about the wildlife, landforms, and plant life in the is area of the world. Learning about the different animals that are indigenous to this area of the world was greatly appreciated. Many stops were made so that we could observe them in their natural habitat. Of course, the penguins, were very special.

Better than buying on the ship! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! Would definitely book with them again. Save your money and do not book through your cruise ship.

We had very nice guide , but that was the only good thing about this trip. 2.5 hours each way to see few lamas in far distance, two armadillos , and 10 penguins. Total waste of time .

The trip was a bit disappointing as the sea lions and penguins were far away. Christian the tour guide was both pleasant and informative but the tour itself was mostly riding in a bus with very little opportunity to have close up encounters with local wildlife. We found the trip was way overpriced and would not recommend to others

Probably 10 pingüinos, no sea lions - 2.5 hrs to see almost nothing 😡. Bag of lunch was terrible- really cheap.

Diego and Eduardo were amazing! We saw a lot more wildlife than I expected. The penguins were roght next to the path. There were lots of llamas, an armadillo and a flock of vultures. The seals are far away, but we brought binoculars for that reason. The extra stop to see the sea lions was much appreciated. The boxed lunch was good with both the chicken & veggie sandwiches being tasty. It is a long ride, but the van is pretty comfortable. We had 10 in our group.
