Our tour to see the Penguins was excellent. They were so cute. It’s a can’t miss if you’re in Patagonia. Our tour guide, Martin was excellent. He had excellent knowledge of everything about Puerto Madryn and knew everything about Patagonia, flora, fauna and penguins. Highly recommend. Great trip and great pictures for great memories.

Roberto “Beto” tour guide for 20+ years, flawless English, he comes with 3 generations of family history on San Felipe Peninsula, he is a phenomenal tour guide. Beto works for Sentir Patagonia tours. He knows the area, flora, fauna, and provides a 5 Star tour. I highly recommend Beto with Sentir Patagonia tours!

Our guide, Santiago, was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife and provided interesting commentary. However, the vehicle provided for transport, a small Ford pickup truck, was unsuitable for our 5 person tour group which included 2 couples and the tour guide. Enroute roundtrip from Puerto Madryn to the San Lorenzo Peninsula, we spent 5 hours in this truck in very cramped conditions, shoulder to shoulder with knees touching the seats and dashboard. Also, the air conditioning did not adequately reach the 3 back seat passengers. We expected the trip for the wildlife viewing would be long, but, if we had known this undersized vehicle would be used, we would never have booked this small group tour.

Fantastic day! We were met right at the end of the cruise pier by Diego and his crew. They are easy to find because of the blue balloon. The van is comfortable, clean with working air conditioning. Our guide Martin had great knowledge of the area and provided an excellent full day tour. The driver always stopped to allow us to view and photograph wildlife including Guanacos, Mara, and many birds. First stop is the small museum, great to quickly read some info on the area and a restroom break. Then off to see the penguins! This rookery was well managed by the Rangers. Penguins are literally EVERYWHERE, under bushes, trees, in their burrows and near the water. Our time with them was magical! Afterwards we went to the lunch stop at Estancia San Lorenzo. Food is very good and served in large portions. Next stop was Punta Norte where we viewed Elephant Seals and sea lions on the beach. The day was long but well worth the driving time and over the dirt roads. A really great day!

Our excursion had pluses and minuses. The positive aspects were the spectacular scenery and the ability to see the sea lions and penguins in their habitat. Our driver, Santiago, was kind and very knowledgeable. The lunch of barbecued lamb, sausage, salad, empanadas and flan at San Lorenzo was quite good and ample. The negatives, which were quite significant, included a long trip in a very compact Ford pick-up, which made Economy class feel luxuriant. My wife ended up seated in the middle of the back seat on a hump with zero leg room. I am 6’1” and was in the back seat with minus zero leg room. There was another couple in the same vehicle. The vehicle was high, which made it quite difficult for my wife to climb in and out of the vehicle. Our guide, who was the driver of the vehicle, could not be heard by those sitting in the back seats. We prepaid $20.00 each for the entrance to Cape Verdes, but the price listed on the actual ticket was $12.00 each. If I had known what type of vehicle we would be transported in, I definitely would not have travelled with this agency. Thus, despite the positives, unless Sentir guarantees a comfortable vehicle, I ABSOLUTELY do NOT recommend using this tour agency.

We enjoyed our excursion to the San Lorenzo Peninsula Valdes. We got up close and personal with the penguins. We also had a delicious lunch. Although the excursion was a bit expensive, it was worth the money.

This trip was amazing. We loved that it was only us 2 and a guide. Carlos answered all of our questions. Yes rough roads and very long drive to Punta Norte We had a short stop at a small museum - you can get a free passport stamp- to learn about the peninsula. At the northern most point we saw young elephant seals, and adult sea lions and babies. They were on the beach below a cliff The coast line was beautiful. We then stopped at Estancia San Lorenzo. There is a Magelenic penguin rookery. There were so many all different ages. Just incredible seeing them walk down to the water. There were hundreds swimming. We were able to get fairly close but had to keep a distance because of Avian bird flu threat. We saw a lot of different activity of the penguins adults and babies. This is a working sheep ranch. We stopped at the ranch for empanadas & barbequed Lamb. Food was included as well as a glass of wine. This is a full day excursion but you will get back to the ship on time!

Absolutely fabulous time with Santiago who did everything to ensure we had the best day. We saw sea lions and elephant seals and spent a lot of time with Magellanic Penguins. An experience we’ll never forget. Thank you.

Excellent excursion, everything was wonderful although a long drive, it didn’t feel like it with all the wildlife along the way. Our guide Nani was very knowledgable and enthusiastic, she answered all our questions.

This is a perfect tour for solo and couples travelers who want to avoid crowds and see elephant seals, sea lions, penguins and other local wildlife plus enjoy a fantastic Argentine lunch featuring lamb and wine. The trade off is the tour is a bit pricey and you will spend approximately 3-4 hours, much of it on gravel roads. For me this was all well worth it, and my guide, Fernando, was excellent.

Great excursion. Our tour guide Diego was a wealth of knowledge in all areas, history, culture, nature, etc. He also knew the best time to go our locations in order to avoid the crowds from big buses. Penguins were great, very active, cute and there were a lot of them. Highly recommend.

The Guide was knowledgeable and cooperative. We did see the wildlife expected. The minibus was small and cramped. Seating on the bench at the end of the minibus was very unpleasant , considering a total drive time of 5 hours. 3.5 hours of them were on an unpaved dirt road, jumping up an down. Visibility through the mini bus windows was limited. Lunch was limited and not that tasty (compared to other groups seating there )

Seeing the Penguins, Seals, armadillo and llama family (forgot what they were called) in their natural habitat was awesome! Our guide and driver were very knowledgeable and helpful in every way. We were picked up in a van right outside the port gates as they described with a blue balloon. There were just 8 of us which made us feel like we were so special on our own private tour. We enjoyed a nice lunch except was disappointed with the Asado Lamb because it was boney and ,grisley . I had a huge piece but only got about 2 tablespoons of stringy meat.. The chorizo and flan with dulce de leche was delicious. All in all we had a very enjoyable time. Would recommend this tour to all. Unfortunately I forgot our tour guide’s name but he had so much experience and knowledge which he shared with us that we learned many interesting aspects of life in this region.

Beto was a great guide, friendly and informative. We first visited the elephant seals and sea lions at Port Norte. But the highlight was the visit to the Magellanic penguin rookery at the farm Beto took us to. Seeing the penguins "guarding" their homes, "cleaning" their homes, then walk to the ocean where we saw hundreds wading on the beach and many swimming. Truly amazing, particularly with them walking right beside us! But the lunch at the farm could have been missed. Way too much food and not particularly good.

This was a small group tour, but when I got off the ship, it turned out to be just Berto and me. (My husband went on a different tour.) A delightful and knowledgeable man who has been a tour guide for 20 years. He had lots of information and stories about both history and life today to fill the 2 hour drive to the UNESCO private nature reserve. Guanaco, sea lions, elephant seals, sheep, and penguins, penguins and more penguins--so interesting to watch. Once back in Puerto Madryn, we took a quick drive through town. Never any concern about getting back to the ship in time.

Excellent tour. Excellent tour guide. Excellent vehicle. Excellent penguins and sea lions and seals, looong ride 2 1/2 hours each way but worth it on paved and gravel roads 99% smooth, food mediocre at best—bring power bars, excellent toilets too. Just do it.

The best up close and personal penguin experience along with a visit to sea lions and seals! We saw many animals too, a safari through Patagonia!
