Our guide Soo-Jung, Susan was great throughout our one day private group tour of Busan. We prefer an intimate small group rather than the 50 person big bus tour that is offered by the cruise company! We had a group of eight. The tour company provides a very comfortable 12 passenger bus for us with very generous legroom between rows. I’m 6ft 2 tall so legroom is extremely important. Susan’s English is very good and easy to understand. Since this is a private tour we were offered choices. At first we weren’t too keen on visiting the the Haedong Yongung Temple by the sea. Susan convinced us that it’s a visit we should not skip. Our drive out to the temple was fascinating! The on ramp that our bus took to the suspension bridge was thrilling! It’s the steepest and hair raising spiraling one lane ramp anyone of us been on! We were lucky that it was a Sunday morning and the traffic was light. We also beat all the other big tour buses by getting there first as the crowd was light. We were able to negotiate the tricky stone steps, see all there’s to see and take all the scenic pictures without the crowd. On our way out we encountered the hordes of cruise passengers arriving at the same time. Susan then took us to the famous Busan beach on our way to the form APEC meeting site and venue. It was an interesting location with great scenery and more photos opportunities. We were then treated to a local Korean lunch. There were no other foreigner in the restaurant beside us. We were treated to a delicious boiling clay pot of soup, with a healthy serving of meat and vegetables. Susan show us how the Koreans usually eat theirs by putting steamed rice into the soup and eat it as a porridge. Aside from the main dish, we were treated to eight other small dishes of various picked vegetables, kimchi and a marinated grilled mackerel! All and all a delicious new dining experience! Our after lunch activities include a trip to the top of the Busan Tower. It offers a 360 panoramic view of Busan and surrounding areas. From the base of the Tower we were taken to the famous Busan shopping district, street market and the famous fish market. There at the fish market we saw all kind of live seafood, from the exotic Sea Pineapples, sea snugs, sea cucumber to all sizes of live Abalone, scallops and spider crabs and king crabs. Unfortunately our short visit wouldn’t allow us sufficient time to savor these delicacies! All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Susan and would not hesitate others to book this excursion on their own!Looking for the perfect guide in Busan? Looking for the perfect guide in Busan? Look no further than Jinee (and her amazing husband driver.) From the minute we (3 Senior, American couples) met Jinee we felt like family. We explored the amazing Beomeosa Temple. We spent time walking the grounds at the beautiful UN Memorial Park. Jinee made the Gamcheon Culture Village come alive for us with her entertaining stories as we strolled the artistically decorated streets. Before heading back to the ship, Jinee took us to the famous shopping street and helped us purchase some amazing Korean cosmetics. Thanks JInee for the PERFECT day - we will cherish our time with you forever! We booked this tour as an option to the ship’s offering. I needed a non-strenuous manageable trip. We booked this tour as an option to the ship’s offering. I needed a non-strenuous manageable trip. Our lovely smiling guide Lada arrived exactly at 8am as planned, despite the change in the ship’s planned schedule. We had a wonderful trip, took in all the highlights of Buscan, a day delicious authentic Buscan meal i(Bibinbap). It was raining all day but we had an enjoyable time. We felt well looked after by Lada. All our needs for the tour were met.....and lots of pictures from Lada afterwards. The trip of itself was cheaper than the ship’s offering and catered for our individual needs. I would recommend this operator very highly.Dylan was a wonderful tour guide who welcomed my husband and I as friends. Dylan was a wonderful tour guide who welcomed my husband and I as friends. He prepared a customised wheelchair friendly itinerary that allowed my disabled husband to enjoy the day. The sites visited included the Samgwangsa Temple, Songdo Beach Skywalk, Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan Tower and Jagalchi Fish Market. Dylan also brought us to an authentic Korean restaurant to enjoy a great BBQ lunch. He gave us a real feel of Busan and the culture of the people. Dylan was well researched and planned a great day for us. He managed the time well and checked the weather constantly, changing the itinerary order to visit key places while the weather held. He even did reconnaissance prior to our visit to check for wheelchair accessibility so that there would be no unpleasant surprises throughout our day. He also helped push the wheelchair on the steeper slopes at Gamcheon, although he was not required to do so. My husband felt included the whole day in Busan. We thoroughly recommend Dylan as a great tour guide!Hayden was so great. He really made our time in Busan special. Our private tour in Busan, Korea, was superb. We were greeted at the port by Mr. Dylan Lee in a van that was new and easily held our party of six. We placed two conditions on Dylan. We wanted a BBQ Korean lunch and be back to the Celebrity Millennium by 3 p.m. He told us that was possible, but unless we were quick, he wouldn’t be able to get in all that he had planned for us. We then proceeded to cover 3 of the ship’s excursions without feeling rushed. Mr. Lee was knowledgeable, friendly, cooperative, energetic, and just plain fun. His English was excellent. We visited the Beomeosa Temple, the Busan Tower, the Jagaichi Fish Market, the Gamcheon Cultural Village, the Skywalk and fit in a delicious Korean BBQ luncheon at a wonderful local restaurant. We returned to the ship a few minutes after 3. Thank you so very much for a great time for the six of us. We learned much about your country and all the sites were so very interesting and beautiful.
