Buyers beware - we received a cancellation notice 30 minutes before it was scheduled to begin. When I called Viator they said the operator reported there was a natural disaster - thus they had to cancel. We were refunded the money - but I'm more than disappointed that this person was allowed to do that. There was absolutely no natural disaster - the weather was beautiful. If we were to have called with a story like that we would have been penalized financially - but this person can ruin plans no problem. Not cool.

I contacyed them the day before to confirm the tour and they confirmed it but when I showed up the next day the store was closed and there was no one in sight. Very disappointed

This was at the top of favorites list for our whole trip. He is amazing, talented, and PATIENT. It was surreal to see how the glass is formed and a cool memory to have done a little piece yourself. I can see why this had 5.0 stars before I booked it. Do NOT miss out on this!

This was such a interesting and unique experience that was not at all tourist-y. It was great seeing Massimo demonstarte how he creates a small glass sculpture. He was very helpful and gave such wonderful direction to help me and my husband to both make lovely keepsake pendants.

Maximillian is a great instructor & artist!! He was very patient with us as he taught us the Murano glass making process. Wonderful experience. So much fun. We now truly appreciate this art!!

Fun to watch the demonstration and make a glass pendant on your own. Artist was accommodating with request to make something slightly different than typical.

Maximillian spent a lot of time explaining his craft and the history of Murano glass. He was a good instructor and spoke Italian, French and English.

I was on my own for this experience. I really enjoyed seeing and also being involved in glass making. It was such a lovely experience and one I would recommend to others. The event involves understanding Murano glass and a demonstration on how it can be transformed. It’s interactive and fun. I had the opportunity to make my own pendent. Just a side note, you have the opportunity to purchase items from the Artisan. Please ensure you carry cash for any purchases. But, I would highly recommend this to anyone.

SO much fun and a truly authentic experience. My girlfriend and I came here and Massimo was wonderful to us. He showed us demonstrations and helped us through the processes our own and let us keep what we made. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to learn to blow glass or have a once in a lifestyle experience!

This was a lovely and intimate experience. It is not glass blowing, as that is only in murano- where only exhibitions are allowed as the furnaces were outlawed in Venice long ago for safety. This was a small lesson in flame-work along with the ability to create a unique memento of your experience. We loved being able to ask questions and learn his process in an easy to understand way. We selected our own colors for a pendant that we created, and used his expertise to guide us with what would work well.

Most memorable experience with Massimiliano Caldarone. He very knowledgeable, skilled and his studio is a glimpse into his process. He was very kind and patient teacher of the basic techniques and would first demonstrate, then you repeat. An amazing time with a venecian artist one I will never forget.
