Absolutely brilliant day. We were met by Pedro & Carolina. We visited Cotopaxi first. They took us towards the mountain & we were incredibly lucky that the clouds peeled back for us. Pedro shared knowledge of local flora & fauna. Next we headed to Quilatoa hoping for good views and the weather didn’t disappoint. Pedro was informative and answered all of our questions and excellent driving by Carolina for a full day out. Highly recommend!

Pedro’s team of my driver, Cara, and my guide, Lizeth, were top notch! A lot of tricky driving with great skill and no issues! We went 2 hours southwest of Quito to Cotopaxi, where Liz explained everything in English in great detail. I really learned a lot! A most enjoyable day! I saw things I wouldn’t have ever seen on my own! Worth every penny!

We had a great day with Pedro and Carolina even though the weather was not great. We could not see the top of Cotopaxi but drove up to 15k feet to try to get a peak. Was really nice to see the countryside along the way.

The natural beauty of Cotopaxi Volcano and Quilatoa Crater Lake were superb! Pedro (tour guide) taught me a lot about the natural wonders and the farming families living in the volcano foothills.

Pedro was the absolute best, most knowledgeable tour guide! His English is excellent and he was such a joy to talk to and learn from! He taught us all about the history of Ecuador while driving through the countryside. And the tour was great! Saw Cotopaxi and the rainforest

This was am amazing day tour! Pedro was our driver and he was awesome. He spoke fantastic English (which, we unfortunately could not reciprocate as we don't speak Spanish), super friendly, very knowledgeable, kept us on time/track, and let us have time to explore by ourselves. He was personable, professional, and made sure we got to see everything we wanted to & more! This was such a great, intimate tour. It is a full day - we started at 7am and got home around 5pm (so load up on coffee and snacks!). Cotopaxi is a beautiful site and there is a hike around a lagoon (pretty flat but you are at altitude). Quilotola was stunning and there is an additional hike, if you are so interested (we only did a very small part of it). On the way between Cotopaxi and Quilatoa, we stopped to meet a local man that lives in the country to better understand how this community lives, what they grow and eat. We also go to stop in a small village, Tigua, to shop a local painter's shop. All around this was such a well-rounded, fun, and very eye-opening trip. Just a few pointers for the day: 1. Bring snacks, you get fed but if you're like me and need to eat fairly regularly snacks and water was clutch 2. Bring cash - for tips for your driver AND for the shopping around local areas. Some bathrooms we stopped into also required payment ($0.25 USD), so small bills or change is great. 3. Take your time on the hike(s). You are at altitude and if you go too fast it can get overly worn-out or sick 4. Dramamine! The road from Cotopaxi to Quilatoa is winding, like most roads we were on in Ecuador. I don't get carsick but I did experience a bit of nausea from the long and winding road; dramamine solved it!

Pedro was great! He was knowledgable about Cotopaxi & Quilatoa and answered all our questions. It is a long day but Pedro had great energy throughout. If you are interested in seeing these 2 sites this is the best way to do it in a day.

I enjoyed the trip a lot, it was an excellent one. Mr. Pedro was my guide and he was professional on every level and super knowledgeable about pretty much everything we drove through and every site we visited. I would absolutely recommend this trip to all. You will get to see some amazing views of the Cotopaxi volcano and the most beautiful crater lake

Pedro was an informative and active guide, since it was just me on the tour, we were able to expand and do far more hiking on Cotopaxi than I’d usually offered.

What a great day, Miguel and Jimmy arrived at 7.00am in a lovely car. Miguel explained that the tour was totally flexible and we could do as much or as little as we wanted. Miguel was so informative, and we will leave Ecuador with a much better understanding of life for the people. The volcanos are just amazing to think they are still active and smoking . Thanks guys for a memorable day, we won’t forget it 👍

The most fantastic day out with 2 super guides. Miguel and Jimmy collected us right on time at 7.00am, they were fantastic, Miguel was so knowledgeable about the history of Ecuador and gave us so much information, we will leave Quito knowing so much more about the life and history. Thank you so much guys and Jimmy you should be a legend, your driving and knowledge of the back streets of Quito is second to none. We can’t thank you enough 👍

Get ready for a looong day! However you will enjoy nearly every moment of it. We were picked up promptly at 7am from our hotel, then headed straight to Cotopaxi National Park. It's about a hour and a half from Quito and we saw great views of the mountain driving up. Unfortunately when we got close to the mountain it was shrouded in cloud. But nonetheless I feel fortunate that she shown her face on us for the time we got to see her. After a short walk around a pond and a hike into a canyon we were on our way to Quilotoa. This drive is around about 2 hours but the views are spectacular. It was a sight to behold from the top of the crater and had it not been for a foot injury I would have totally braved the hike to the bottom. After getting our fill of the lake we had our (included) lunch in the small town. Lunch was enjoyable and we did a little curio shopping before heading back to Quito. We were back to our hotel around 4:30pm however if we had done the hike or gotten closer to Cotopaxi I could see us having been back closer to 6 or even 7pm so be aware. That being said what a fantastic time and something I'll be grateful I had the privilege of experiencing. Completely recommend!

This was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend to anyone who loves nature! My guide was fantastic, and our driver was very attentive friendly. We did get lucky with the weather up at Cotopaxi, but it was worth being a little patient to let the clouds open up for a moment. Make sure to bring comfortable hiking shoes and clothes that will keep you warm and dry. Again, I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who has a day to spare in Quito. #Cotopaxi #Quilotoa #SafeTravelsEcuador

An excellent tour of these must see attractions. Pedro was an excellent tour guide, and when I left my glasses in his car, he turned around and returned them to me. Excellent customer service! Highly recommended.

Super fun trip, Pedro (the guide) was great! Lots of good scenery, but be prepared for some driving haha the Quilatoa Crater and Cotopaxi are a few hours apart, but its worth it!

Trip was very well organized. We have enough time for short trekking in Cotopaxi National Park, to enjoy view, birds and plants. And then we went to Quilotoa, were we have all the time we need to go down, and back. On Cotopaxi we have our guide with us, on Quilotoa we were on our own. He waited for us near parking. The views in both cases were absoltuly beautuful. And we have really good weather in Cotopaxi, with sun and not much clouds. So it was absolutly amazing. Theoretically there sould be water and snacks, but we did not ask for it (as we have it on our own).

The tour was absolutely fantastic. Our guide Pedro confirmed the pickup address prior to the trip and was here to pick up my girlfriend and I early and we didn't have to wait at all. He was very friendly and informative and for the long trip to Cotopaxi he never ran out of interesting facts and stories. Cotopaxi itself was gorgeous and also much colder than Quito. After Cotopaxi we drove to Quilotoa and we were given other great insights into the local cultures that we saw on the way. Quilotoa itself was also amazing and it included a delicious lunch in a restaurant. Overall it was a fantastic experience, one i won't forget and Pedro was a critical part to the enjoyment.

I booked this at 2am on a whim and had confirmation and Whatsapp message with 7am pick up at hotel. I was already impressed. Pedro picked me up right on time and we had an amazing day driving to Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. I couldn't have asked for a better guide in Pedro. He was fun to speak with, knowledgeable on flora and fauna, and overall perfect day. I highly recommend.
