Personally, I love hiking in the forest & mountains. The scenery is beautiful & serene. The trail is pretty well marked, but I would not have wanted to do it the first time without a guide. Plus, we wouldn’t have found the amazing crotto for lunch on our own! Highly recommend, but not for people with any kind of mobility issues as the hike was over 10km & at times challenging to maneuver over the rocks and waterfalls due to recent rainfall.

We loved our guide Daniele from the start - knowledgable with a great sense of humor. Up the funicular to Brunate, then a moderately challenging hike (a little off camber and some storm washout) along the old roman paths, stopping for an amazing lunch in Piazzaga. We descended from lunch to the charming village of Torno where we picked up a boat back to Como.

This day was definitely the best one we spent in the area. We wanted to feel the nature, be out of the crowds and visit some true local places. Too many desires? Oh no, we got everything and even more: a tasty lunch (I will never forget that goat cheese!) and a passionate guide like Fabia who is never tired of answering questions. 100% recommended!!

The tour is perfect for small groups like families or friends to enjoy a wonderful day together. You will see amazing views, have excellent food for lunch, enjoy different means of transportation. The tour was simply unique. We walked through an ancient trail to see the beautiful hamlets and villages on the lake. The lunch at the crotto was amazing, with good food and good company! You won't regret taking part in this hike.

A beautiful day on the hills over Lake Como. Nice hike, great company and delicious food at lunch. The trip on the boat at the end of the day was the icing on the cake... another great chance to watch a wonderful landscape from a different point of view!

Mikael was simply the most wonderful, kind, patient and attentive guide. He took us on a lengthy trail walk along ancient trails and Roman built roads for a total of 5.5 hours through the woods in the hills above Lake Como. Along the way he knowledgeably pointed out points of interest and historical sights. We stopped for lunch in a charming, family run restaurant where we had a delicious home cooked meal. Before you embark on this tour, keep in mind that you need to have stamina to complete this trek. However, if you are up for it, it is well worth it.

his tour is unmissable! The hike in the woods is beautiful, with unexpected views over the lake and, most of all, with the company of a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed the delicious lunch in a picturesque hamlet. And it was great, at the end of the day, to take the boat to come back and chill out a little watching the landscape. I don't think we would have found something better elsewhere.

This was bot a senior friendly hike and was never fully disclosed with a difficulty rating for a novice hiker. It had very dangerous and unsteady areas where you need to walk! The guides were fantastic and one stayed back with me the entire time. Unfortunately my husband lost his footing and rolled down an incline banging his hip and getting scratched and bruised! The local tour operator was not at fault . It was lack of proper wording and warnings in the Viator written description of ibis tour that is to blame! Shame on you. Viator! It is necessary to discriminate in this instance and mention that this is not for every senior citizen! I have used your service for 15 years and this is the first tour that we have had an issue with! You need to put a huge disclaimer, explanation, details about this hike people to recognize its NOT for everyone!

I had a fantastic day hiking with Daniele. Great conversations and interesting explanations historical and cultutal. We did the funicular ride to Brunate, hiking with a fantastic view and the boat trip from Torno to Como. The trip includes beautiful nature, perfect view and Highlight a typical italian picknick for lunch. Highly recommend, hope i get the chance to return ☺️

My daughters and I had a really nice hike with Daniele. We took the funicular up then hiked across the top of the hill from Brunate to Montepiatto, and came back on the ferry. He had a tasty lunch for us, and some snacks to keep us energized. He was full of interesting information and brimming with god humour. We were very fortunate to have a beautiful day for a walk in early December. The steps down from Montepiatto to the ferry dock were a bit of a challenge for my old-ish knees, but I survived undamaged and richer for the experience. Daniele is also a food enthusiast and recommended some local restaurants and specialities to try. It was a fun and memorable day
