Overall a tour that we can definitely recommend. It was perfectly organised, pick-up from the hotel, friendly personnel and very modern busses. The programme was not too stuffed and good to digest. However, the tour guide can improve (thus 4/5 stars).

This trip that includes Palace Knossos, the Lasithi Plateau, the Kardiotissa Monastery and the Dikteon Cave, is a well organized and worthwhile tour. I enjoyed all aspects of the tour.

So I basically paid 45€ for a bus ride and guiding. The guide that we had was really good of a story teller, which made listening to her guidance entertaining. She was nice and looked after everyone. I was on a budget and it just was a poor experience for me because of the lack of information that you need to ¡carry your id! in order to get the free tickets you need to buy yourself to latishi and knossos when you're a under 25yo european citizen. Since there was no mention of anything really, I would assume that everything is taken care of for me if I purchase a trip package that says I do not have to pay for anything else, than the really good food we had at this really nice restaurant in betweed the visits of latishi and knossos. We also visited a monastery and a nice shop that had clothing, ceramics, olive oil, cosmetics ect.

Fantastic tour company!! We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Zeus' Cave, seeing the plateau, having lunch at a local tavern and finishing up at Knossos Palace. Our guide was excellent. This company provides pick up service from hotels outside of Hersonissos which worked out great! Great tour, great day!

Great to see the history and sites! Tour guide was amazing and informative. Only downside was our tour group was a little rude and were impatient and pushing to get off the bus. No fault of the guided tour. Still worth a go!

This tour took 11 hours, 3 of which were interesting... the cave is cool as is Palace of Knossis but you spend half the day picking up people at hotels and dropping them off, it was awful! Lunch break is too long. Find a smaller group to do it with so it doesn't include a tour of every resort on the coast!! Our guide Mary was very knowledgeable but it was still torture. And wear proper shoes, if you try hiking up the non-paved (but more scenic) route to the cave in sandals you'll likely injure yourself. And they won't warn you that you need to be fit to get up there, down into the cave and back up again, I thought we were going to end up doing CPR on some people!

It’s a very intense trip, it could be narrowed only to Lasithi Plateu, Dikteon Cave, Knossos and lunch break. However, still recommend it

This tour was not impressive at all. The guide was all over the place. She didn’t seem very knowledgeable. And if she was she was so animated that it barely came across. It was almost like she thought it she spoke big then we would feel it more. I do not like that every other minute is a stop to some sort of shop to spend money. The restaurant we went to was very delicious. That I liked. The coolest part of this trip was the cave in the beginning. Definitely very cool. Knossos was the worst part of the tour. About a third of the group, including myself, walked off to wander in our own directions. Her screaming through the headsets was too much. Then half of it was “just imagine This and that, I can’t tell you exactly what or how much but let’s say it was like this. You can imagine”. I’m not making this up. I couldn’t! I was so over it. $40 down the drain.

The tour was a very good combination of sightseeing, little bit hiking, history and culture. The tour guides explained everything in 3 languages. The bus is cool and comfortable. Be prepared for a really long day, especially if you are picked up early, the complete tour took us 12 hours. It was informative, the guides explained much more about each site compared what is written onto standard tourist signs. Well organized.

Was very good expidrence. Guides were very knowligible and we saw a lot in One day. We saw Knossos, had pottery class,lunch in vilige was great.

I had an amazing day with my guide Helen ,she was full of information for the trips we were on ,I really enjoyed my day and can recommend the trip to anyone .

I liked the vatiety of the stops. It was is good mix and I learned a lot about the Greek history. I wished we had more time at the palace and more information about the history. For me could have cancelled the stop at the Taverne. Food was good, was feeling to be forced to eat there, because it was the only thing there, didn’t suit me.

We were picked up from outside the hotel by a lovely lady in a minibus. Taken to meet the bus and our English speaking guide Kate. The bus was pretty full of all nationalities. Got to our first stop the monastory to be told we were being transferred to our own English speaking mini bus. All 9 of us including driver and guide. After that it was great. Our own very special private tour. An excellent day. Thank you everyone for making it so special

Great early morning pick up, main tour was a full coach with 2 guides 1 speaking English/Germany the other speaking Russian. Mainly Russian speaking guests on the excursion. English guide was excellent covered the facts and history and also explained the mythology. Nice visit to the monastery, great views. Loved the visit to Zeus’ cave, but be warned it is a tough hike in heat to get up to the entrance (made me sad seeing some off the people using donkeys to get up) but the views and photographs are amazing once you get up there. We really enjoyed the pottery factory where we tried the olive oil and wine, and picked up some great souvenirs. Lunch is bought separately as all the entrance fees but it was good value and a great stop to break up the coach journey. Last stop is Knossos and once again the guide makes this informative. Our return journey is the only negative I can give as the English speaking guide didn’t return with us from Heraklion all announcements where in Russian only so anyone non Russian speaking didn’t know what was happening he also left the bus along the way and a number of guests had to change to a mini bus to complete their journey and this was confusing with no information. We was one of the last to be dropped off and the 1.5 hour journey back just took the edge off a great day.

We were picked up by car and taken to the tour bus early am. The guides spoke in English, French and Russian. Irini the English/French translator was superb - her knowledge and friendly approach was one of the best we had experienced. The monastery, the cave and pottery were very interesting. Lunch at a taverna surrounded by old windmills was good - delicious stuffed pepper and tomato. Then to Knossos Palace with an excellent comentary from Irini. A taxi was laid on for my huband and I for return to Iraklio. Thank you Irini.

Notre groupe était composé de participants parlant anglais ou allemand. La guide a donc fait les visites dans les deux langues. Parfois, elle semblait perdre le fils de ce qui avait été dit en quelle langue, car ces propos semblaient décousus et étaient difficiles à suivre. De plus, la répétition des explications en deux langues à causé la visite guidée du palais de Knossos d’être très longue (trop longue).

Uns hat die Reise sehr gut gefallen! Besonders die Reiseleitung war richtig Klasse. Wir haben sehr viel mitgenommen auch wenn es für einen Tag viele Eindrücke waren. Etwas mehr Zeit beim Essen hätten wir uns gewünscht!

Die Reiseleitung war einfach super!! Alle waren super freundlich und es war sehr informativ. Auf Fragen aus der Gruppe wurde direkt eingegangen und alle Fragen wurden beantwortet. Ich habe mich sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt und kann es nur jedem weiter empfehlen.

Es war ein langer Tag, aber wir haben einen guten Eindruck bekommen können, was Kreta zu bieten hat. Die Reiseleiterin war kompetent, die Organisation sehr gut. Einziger Kritikpunkt wäre, dass man teilweise wenig Zeit hat, was bei der Zeus-Höhle stressig wurde.

Vanuit Stalis met de bus opgehaald, en direct naar t Lasithi plateau gereden. Mooie route! Meteen van zeeniveau naar 900 meter. Na bezoek aan winkel door naar de grot waar Zeus zou zijn geboren. Veel te horen gekregen over de geschiedenis van de omgeving, die omvangrijk is. Na lunch verder naar Knossos via n dorpje waar enkele mensen uit- en op stapten. Knossos erg mooi, en indrukwekkend. Gids erg enthousiast, en zeer veel kennis. Maar wel n behoorlijk luide stem, en de dag is wel erg lang: 9:00 de bus in, 19:30 weer terug in t hotel. Al met al een mooie, maar wel vermoeiende dag. Ik snap de combI, maar het is serieus veel!
