I HIGHLY recommend Atlas Desert Tours. Wow, what a trip! INCREDIBLY memorable. It was a pilgrimage of sorts. My father in law who grew up in Fes, had not been back to Morocco in 71 years. In the planning stages, Said, was very accommodating and kind ( he was planning for 8 of us) and Ali, Moha and Jamal ( in Fes) effortlessly wove things that we wanted to do and see into the schedule all the while imparting their knowledge and wisdom. Taking us to wonderful places and introducing us to wonderful people. They went out of their way, with great kindness and patience to make it a VERY special trip. After 8 days and 1400 kilometers it felt like they had become part of the family. Please book with Atlas Desert Tours! You will not regret it!

We were very excited to see all that Morocco has to offer. The mosques are beautiful and the natural sites are even better. Our favorite part of the trip is the Sahara desert. We were able to go into the desert, drink some tea with nomads, ride an ATV on the sand dunes and ride the camels. The scenery is peaceful and out of this world. Each Riad and Dar on the itinerary was wonderful and everyone involved was welcoming. We were driven in an air conditioned van for the duration of our trip and our driver, Mustafa, was the best. He was friendly, calm and very knowledgeable and welcoming. He always had water on hand for us and if we ever wanted/needed anything he always went out of his way to get it for us. There were also a few issues with other vendors not having camels ready or issues with our ATV but Mustafa handled all of that for us. He was solution oriented. The guided tours were very nice and the guides were knowledgeable and spoke English well. Be forewarned some vendors are VERY pushy and can often pressure you into purchasing items and/or they can be rude (at no fault of Atlas Tours)

When searching for a well rounded tour of Morocco, Atlas Desert Tours seemed to hit all the right points. My fiancé and I opted the 11-Day Luxury tour at the end of February and had the best tour. Each day was filled with something remarkable to see. This tour includes a lot of driving so you will experience the wide variety of climates. So much so, that you will feel like you are in a different countries every other day. We also enjoyed all the different activities from exploring ancient Roman ruins to visiting nomad families in the desert and everything in between. Our driver, Aziz, was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable, kind, and had a sense of humor. This made the long drives between cities much more entertaining. Aziz also helped us with our large amount of luggage to and from each hotel. Some hotels are inside the Medina where cars couldn’t get to so Aziz made this process seamless. He always had water waiting for us in his very clean car and made sure to make plenty bathroom stops along the way. All the guides we had made sure we had a great time while teaching us about the beautiful history of Morocco. Make sure to tip! I had a few requests when it came to accommodation that was outside of Atlas Desert Tour’s suggested list of hotels and they hit all the marks. Outside of my requests, the riads we stayed at were immaculately decorated and included delicious breakfasts. The only qualm I had was it took over a month to receive any itinerary with accommodation set in stone. This made me nervous as I had sent an initial deposit of $500 with an additional $25 paypal fee. To be fair, I booked this at the beginning of December, during high seaso, but Said answered all my emails with grace, assuring me that they were working diligently to pull it all together. I just wanted to add this to my review in case any future travelers experience the same. Be patient, this tour is worth it, and then some! Insider tips: Restaurant Bab Ssour in Chefchaouen was the cheapest, best dinner we had in Morocco. Make sure to make reservations when it comes to restaurants in Marrakech because they book up fast. Let your driver know if you’d like to stop to pick up a bottle of wine/alcohol as some towns are dry.

This was an experience of a lifetime!! I always heard of the hospitality of the Moroccan People but to experience it firsthand, you see it’s not just talk. Me and my wife were greeted by our personal guide Muhammad. Our flight was delayed so we weren’t able to visit our first tours. He instead we reschedule it for our final day in Morocco. Mohammed stated that we are meeting as stranger but will become family by the end of our trip to our new second home! I can honestly say he told no lies ! He showed us places and people that showed nothing but love and warmth. We visited small city’s where no other tours visited but made sure we were safe and understood everything. Even times when venders up charged us, Muhammad made sure we were treated not like tourist but as countrymen!! Along our trip we met Mubarak and Salim in Marrakesh and Fes. Like Muhammad their level of hospitality was like no other. The knowledge that both brothers had was impressive to say the least . Even among the busy markets of the Medina, we felt safe and comfortable. The camel ride in the Sahara desert was the experience of a lifetime! At each stop, it was like Muhammad had dropped us off to another family members home the food and people were top notch. With this tour I can say you will truly experience Morocco in its TRUE FORM. The ancient markets, the Beyond Beautiful Atlas Mountains, but most of all the wonderful Berber people. The History food and cultural you’ll experience on this tour is Pricless. I recommend this to anyone interested in visiting Morocco !! The Atlas Desert Tour is the way. Request Muhammad!! 🇲🇦. I will personally be bringing my Family back 💯🤲🏾. Last Note be ready to drink a lot of Tea ☕️ also they will accommodate the amount of days you plan on stay. So if your not in Morocco for 11days they will work around you stay. I recommend the 11 days tho ✌🏾

Atlas Desert Tours provided us with a well-organized and very attentive private tour experience that gave us a lifetime of cherished memories. The hotels and restaurants they suggested and arranged in consultation with us were top-notch. The local guides, who actually live and work in their own cities were informative, professional, and personable. Our visits to many local crafts cooperatives highlighted the authentic quality and dedication of Moroccan artistry. We were especially impressed with our private tour guide, Idris, who combined a warm and friendly personal touch with a high degree of expertise and professionalism. We were also impressed by our driver, Hassan, who drove us across the country so skillfully and with composure for our nine-day Imperial Cities & Desert tour. They were exceptionally helpful when one of us fell ill for a few days. Overall, this private tour was one of the best trips of our lives. We strongly recommend Atlas Desert Tours, which is a genuinely local and family-run business, as your tour provider for Morocco. Ben and Seungsook, Mid-Hudson Valley, NY State

Our tour lived up to the others’ glowing reviews. Prompt, friendly, accommodating guide. Excellent English. The city tours were wonderful. The desert “glamping” and camel ride was a highlight. The stops during the travel days cross country were very interesting. We felt like we got to know the country. Would highly recommend to others.

We had an incredible time visiting Morocco in December. Atlas Tour planned the trip exceptionally well, demonstrating great flexibility and accommodation. Our tour guide, Aziz, was highly knowledgeable, addressing all our questions and providing insightful information about Moroccan culture and history. His fantastic sense of humor was particularly helpful during the long drives. During one of our stops, I accidentally left my phone at a gas station and noticed it was missing about 30 minutes later. Without hesitation, Aziz volunteered to drive back to retrieve my phone. Although we eventually had to go to the police station and file a report, the responsiveness and responsibility of the police officers were impressive. Aziz went above and beyond by even offering to take my phone for repair, a gesture that we truly appreciated. His excellent driving skills made us all feel very safe throughout the journey. My favorite part of the trip was visiting the Sahara and spending a night in the tents. Aziz also helped us modify our itinerary for the last night, allowing us to welcome the New Year in Marrakech instead of driving to Casa Blanca airport hotel. In summary, Morocco is a breathtakingly beautiful country with warm and polite people. It would have been even better if the tour could include driving through a new city in Marrakech and/or Fez, providing us with a glimpse of Morocco's current living style.

I don't even know where to start (in the best way possible). The trip was absolutely amazing!!! I have travelled a lot before, and when doing tours, it really is a hit or a miss, and Atlas Desert Tours is definitely a hit. In regards to our guide (Youssef) and driver (Ibrahim), they were both such sweet, kind, accommodating, patient, and caring people. I have been on tours where it feels the tour guide is 'putting up with you' or 'being nice because it is their job' and that was not the case with Atlas Desert Tours. Yousef and Ibrahim were were a huge reason as to why we loved Morocco and the tour so much. Yousef is very knowledgeable, never gets tired of your questions, is Berber himself, and is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Ibrahim was a very safe driver, and always kind to our family. The itinerary itself was great. You can tell that they put great effort into the plan, and have also done it many times before. Every place we ate, every hotel we stayed at, and every stop we made exceeded my expectations. The other great thing, was that Youssef and Ibrahim were very flexible people (which is needed when travelling with a big family), and they never were annoyed with any change of plans, they truly just wanted to please us, and for us to be happy. At first I was nervous about travelling so much everyday, but now I couldn't imagine if we skipped over any of the cities or landmarks we visited, so the 11 day trip is the way to go!

I have contacted other tour companies before deciding to go with Atlas and I am so glad I did. My deciding factor was mainly due to the professional communication I received from Said and my trip being booked without paying excessive upfront cost. The trip was organized well and a lot coordination being done behind the scenes. Their hard work made our trip enjoyable and stress free for my family. Our driver Mo was a great companion and we relied upon him heavily during our trip. He made a mental note of everything I wanted to visit or acquire (Olive oil, Argan Oil, Dates, Pottery, Rugs and certain food requests). He planned several stops to be sure we accomplish our initial requests. I know I couldn’t have accomplish all this travel and shopping on my own. Although I felt some stops were commission based (Fossils), overall we didn’t get the impression that we were expected or pushed to buy anything. We had the lux package and overall the Riads were a great and personalized experience. Atlas has done everything to accommodate us and at the same time, we tried to be reasonable with them. Based on watching you tube videos, I had the impression that Moroccans will hound us like the way we experienced in Egypt. I was wrong. Moroccan people in general are very nice and not at all pushy once I said “la shukran” they just walk away. Don’t hesitate, book with Atlas and enjoy your vacation stress free.

No better way to experience the vast geographical and cultural beauty of Morocco than with the Atlas Desert Tour team. With deep roots in the Berber community, their knowledge, connections, and professionalism will enhance your trip in numerous ways. They will customize your visit, book fascinating accommodations, safely drive you to all locations, and answer every question you may have. We did the 12-day tour, and frankly, the company of our driver Ibrahim and tour guide Youssef not only helped us to absorb their rich cultural heritage but also stole our hearts. Their warmth was enchanting. MOROCCO HAS IT ALL: pure desert joy, historic Roman ruins, fairytale-like charm in the Blue City, vibrant atmosphere in Marrakesh, and time travel in Fez -just to name a few. Big thank you to everyone at Atlas Desert Tours. I hope this is only the beginning of a long-lasting friendship.

We(a group of 8 with teenagers) just finished our 11-day adventure with Atlas Desert Tours. We were amazed by Morocco's ancient history, multi-ethnic culture, and diverse landscape. Our driver/guide, Hassan, was very knowledgeable and eager to answer our many questions. He drove us safely through traffic-clogged cities and along torturous roads in the High Atlas. At the Merzouga Dunes, he took us to a nomadic Berber encampment where we were served mint tea under the shade of a camel-hair tent. He even joined a drumming performance that evening where we were introduced to the rhythmic fusion of Berber and Sub-Saharan artistry. Hassan's wry sense of humor made our two weeks with him a pleasure. The riads we stayed at were outstanding in terms of decor and comfort. We enjoyed a variety of Moroccan cuisine, including fabulous seafood at the coastal cities of Essaouria and Safi. All in all, our tour was a first-rate experience and we highly recommend Atlas Desert Tours to those who prefer a private guided journey with attention to all the details that make for a fascinating experience!

Our recent 12 day trip to Morocco was an incredible adventure. We started from Casablanca where we explored the vibrant cities, picturesque Mosque and rich culture of this beautiful country and end our journey to the bustling markets of Marrakech. The highlight was undoubtedly our visit to the Sahara Desert, where we rode camels and spent a magical night in a luxury camp, where staff was great, funny and talented. We stayed in different amazing and unique Riads and hotels. Throughout the trip, we felt safe and well taken care of. Out guide/driver Mohamed was exceptional, providing us valuable insights, he went above and beyond ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey. The local tour guides the company provided are knowledgeable they shared fascinating stories/insights into Moroccan's history, culture and traditions making the trip even more enriching. ATLAS who organized our trip did an excellent job in creating a well rounded itinerary and arranging comfortable accommodations. Overall we recommend traveling to Morocco and highly recommend ATLAS and Mohamed for incredible and hassle free experience in Morocco

This was my second tour with Atlas. They helped my wife and I customize their Classic Morocco tour. Everything was truly superb. All of the accomodations were first rate. Several were exceptional. (We kept running into other people who stayed the same hotels Atlas had selected, but had clearly spent more on their tour than we had.) Our guide was a true professional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took care of us like Mother Goose took care of her flock. Atlas also arranged for several day tours with excellent guides. Communication with Atlas setting up our trip was excellent. If you want a personalized tour with your own guide, as opposed to a bus tour with 30 other people, you can't go wrong with Atlas. And yes, they are way more affordable than US-based/arranged tours.

My friends and I had an amazing experience on a custom 8 day tour traveling through Morocco! Before the trip, Atlas worked with us to tailor the experience to our schedule and to the places we wanted to visit. The accommodations were all wonderful. We loved our guides, Ibrahim and Idris! They were considerate, caring, and fun through the whole trip. We also loved the city-specific guides. Everyone was knowledgeable and passionate about sharing their culture, history, architecture, and their people. We learned so much, and it was definitely a one of a kind experience. We highly recommend traveling with Atlas, especially with Ibrahim and Idris.

We did Atlas Desert Tours' Classic Morocco 11 Days--Affordable Luxury trip with our daughter and son-in-law and it was one of the most wonderful travel experiences we have ever had! The tour was well organized; the accommodations and meals were outstanding; and the local guides were excellent. Our expert driver, Mustapha, made the trip so enjoyable and educational - he answered all our questions, taught us local words and shared information about Moroccan history and culture. Mustapha was kind, considerate and has an excellent sense of humor – he made the trip so much fun! We highly recommend Atlas Desert Tours as they are local (based in Marrakech) and have exceptional logistical knowledge and contacts in-country. Also, they are one of the few tour companies we found that offers Chefchaouen (the Blue City) on their itinerary, and although it added some extra time in the car, it was well worth it.
