Wonderful guide, Wonderful city, wonderful food. Albania is a beautiful country with a rich history. I'm so glad their period of communism has ended!

Great tour with many stops and several dishes to try. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. You won’t leave hungry.

This is one of the best local tours we’ve ever had! We met with our guide, Redi, at the main square in Tirana, where he started with explanation of the most important bits of Albanian history. Throughout all the trip he was very knowledgeable about the places we visited, but also shared a lot about the history and culture of Albania, which totally exceeded ours expectation. We loved all the food we ate during the evening, everything was delicious and some things also very new for us! Atmosphere was awesome, we felt like we were meeting with a friend who wants to show us the best places in Tirana. We highly recommend this tour for everyone!

I used Go as a Local for 3 days. They were wonderful - knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual. My first tour of Tirana and bunker art was everything I had asked for - I was very interested in history, particularly the communist era, and I learned a great deal. I highly recommend all the guides in this company. (I used them for Berat also).

we visited Tirana in two days, so we wanted something to let us explore the most of it in the little time we had. This tour has been a perfect choice: our guide Xhulio was very well prepared about Tirana's history and culture and accompanied us in a long tour, that helped us explore basically all of the city center. We saw a lot of amazing stuff - and when there was something we didn't recognize, he made us aware of them. We did this tour on December 31st, so we supposed some places would've been closed. Despite that, Xhulio managed to find very nice traditional places for us to enjoy. We had a very good breakfast in a traditional bakery and enjoyed a nice tea in a coffee shop in a beautiful area. For lunch, almost all places were closed, but our guide still managed to find the only open one and brought us there to enjoy an extremely good lunch. We had fun, enjoyed our time together, had good meals and saw the beautiful parts of a beautiful city, all in the span of one morning. Definitely worth it! Thank you again, Xhulio, for the wonderful experience!

I loved seeing the city through its food with the helpful guidance and friendly conversations with Aron. We had incredible local dishes from off the beaten path places I would never have found on my own and got to see a whole new side of the city! Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Tirana and wanting to eat well!

Jullian did a great job in some tough conditions! It was raining HARD! Nice tour with a nice variety of good choices. Tymis was our favorite place!!!

The lunch buffet was great with introducing many Albanian options. There were not many snack options. One stop at a bakery and you can only pick from what he choose. The tour guide was knowledgeable but a tad arrogant when approached with questions. The breakfast was a traditional soup - not tasty at all. Eat breakfast before you go on the tour. With the rainfall the tour should have been cancelled and refunded. I felt we didn’t probably get the full experience with the many pit stops to get out of the heavy rainfall.

Xhulio was a great guide and shared his knowledge about Albanian. We really enjoyed the food stops and different food, just wished we had even more to try! It is a great introduction of the layout of the city.

Our tour guide Xulio was lovely. His knowledge of English as well the history of Albania was superb. Unfortunately it was more a history tour then a food tour. As matter of fact - it was everything else but a good tour. We had local soup for breakfast and then we went for coffee and after that we had a choice of dessert - all about 10 am. We walked all over but did not go in to any places at all. After 5 hours later around 2:30 we finally went to a local restaurant that looked like “ Hard Rock Cafe” . We did have a great lunch - appetizer of different goat cheese- olives- peppers- bread and some kind of beef stew in cheese. Also had some tasty chicken kebobs and potatoes. But a food tour it was not- please take that word “ food tour” off. I am a Chef and conduct food tours all over the world and really was very disappointed. Obviously this company does not know what a food tour should be. Very pricey for what we received. Again thanks to Xulio for his knowledge about the culture.

Great tour through Tirana with a lot of nice food 😋 The guide was very knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions. He was also very good at explaining the Albanien way of living and culture.

Good walking tour of the city with a lot of history and good food stops along the way. Xhulio was a wealth of knowledge about the Albanian history. We really enjoyed it. We liked all of the food stops and trying the different foods.

Today, we joined the City and Food Tour in Tirana with Aron. It was well over and above our expectations. Aron is extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about his country, its history, diversity and evolution. Our discoveries and learnings were numerous. Aron is very kind and the pace of the tour was most pleasurable. Food was excellent (loved the ice cream) and we would highly recommend this tour. Aron was a good guide. We had a great experience, delicious food but the Raki was a interesting and different treat.

Aron was a perfect guide, Albanian in heart and soul and amassador of his nice country's rich history. And above all a nice guy to talk to and reason with.... The food and drinks were great and surprising.......and plenty....

This tour was the perfect way to spend our first day in Tirana. Redi is a wealth of information and is willing to answer any questions about the city, country, politics, youth, etc. The food was terrific… definitely foods we would never have thought to try. We highly recommend this tour.
