The historic anecdotes in addition to the ghost stories were interesting. Also seeing a neighborhood other than the downtown area as a visitor.

Great history of Richmond, finishing up with some beautiful views of the skyline. Be sure to check out Paul Henry’s Pub & Grille beforehand!

Fun evening with mom friends! Interesting without sending us home terrified. As locals it was great to learn more about the area. Eating at Patrick Henry Pub ahead of time was delicious and super convenient. Our waiter even made sure we got our food and checks early so we would make the tour on time.

The weather was steamy, but such a great night for ghost stories. My family and I loved walking a path through the past, seeing the neighborhood and hearing about the people who used to live there and the traumas of the area, be it love or war. There were no ghosts on our tour, but through the story telling you could feel vividly the souls who passed through and possibly lingered. I can’t wait to come back for a different tour. Thank you Beth and Chris for an awesome experience.

Zoe did a wonderful job with our small group. She was quite energetic and knowledgeable, and attentive to shoelace safety.

Was not very engaging and felt very much like a college lecture. Some stories were half interesting, but it consisted mainly of standing in 90° weather and listening. Would not recommend.

We had fun on the tour. Now, the tour wasn't really scary per say, unless you count all the traffic going by on Broad St. Cars going by from time to time with their loud rap music. But the tour itself was a good way to get information about old Richmond and the stops were all sites where people have seen or heard paranormal activity. Our guide Jeffrey, was very informative and was always willing to answer questions. I took a lot of pictures and I got a couple with some strange things in them. One was at the James Church. In the back, through the iron gates. The other was at the home of Edgar Allen Poe's girlfriend. We had never done a ghost tour before and we think for our first this was a good time!

The guide was nice, although admittedly had never seen ghosts or paranormal activity. We went up and down the same street, he explained the history of a couple buildings. Certainly not worth $20. Many in our group were bored unfortunately. Would not recommend doing this "ghost" tour.

If you love American history, Richmond should be on your list of places to visit. And definitely include a “ Haunts” tour! Fun & informative with well seasoned guides who will have you wanting to know and “SEE” more! Can’t wait to experience again!

I love history and ghost tours and this one did not disappoint! The guides Beth and Chris were both extremely knowledgeable and engaging as they related the tales from the past. The stories were location specific, spooky, and left me both wanting to know more and looking over my shoulder to see if the past was perhaps walking alongside us! I am new to the area and am so glad I drove the 2 hours from DC to learn about the rich history of Richmond!

I'm glad I started my VA trip with this tour. It put all of my subsequent visits to historical sites in perspective. Our tour guide was full of energy and I enjoyed the stories. We even heard from some of the neighborhood residents and their experiences. I would highly recommend this tour for Poe fans, but also for anyone wanting to learn about another side of history.

In my experience, historic ghost tours fall into two distinct categories; spooky fun or quirky local history. This one falls into the later category. The tour was filled with quirky locals and very beautiful night scenery. Our guide did a really good job of reading the group and tailoring the tour to focus more on the stories and history than the "looking to experience something" aspect. What was already a fun night with friends became even more entertaining when a neighborhood cat (or ghost cat, who knows?) Joined us for most of the stops. It was a fun tour, the cost was appropriate, and while you do walk up and downhill it is broken up by stops. If you have mobility issues the sidewalks are made of very old brick and are uneven, but that is the worst of it.
