Adolfo, as promised, texted me that there were more turists interested in going to Chimborazo while I was going to get on this trip the very last minute. With Ivagatours,we went on the Chimborazo tour. It was really nice, we were really well taken care of. But it is expensive for what it is. The guide, the kind Alberto, thanks to him he's a love, took us to the Chimborazo through the 2 hours ride to there. It's a bit long, but all right, because we had to pass through Riobamba on a Saturday (day of fiestas and mercados). We arrived to the first refuge, the guide left us to go up to the 2nd refuge alone. He didn't come with us. We got up, had fun with some other people, really nice experience. Then we got down, and we went to eat. At this time it was about 14-15h. Then we went back to Baños. Also, we've been told everything we needed for the tour, but I'd like to add that up there, there is snow, it's about 4-5°C, so get dressed pretty warm, with hats and gloves. So, I would say it's a really nice tour, but a bit expensive for the service (it's pretty much just a shuttle service to Chimborazo). Thanks to Alberto, a really nice guide, that gives informations about Ecuador in the way, and has a really nice energy!

We took a tour to Chimborazu with Alberto. We left around 9am and were back by 5:30pm, having lunch after the hike around 3pm in a local restaurant. Alberto told us about geographical features of the area on the way to the volcano and pointed out any animals of interest. Make sure you have warm clothes to hike the volcano and hiking boots are ideal. We were lucky enough to see hummingbirds at the lagoon!

The main objective is Chimborazo hike, but on the way there were many sights to see. For example active volcano Tungurauha, peculiar stratum, and cute wild pequena in the mountainous area. The guide Albert was giving us explanations timely, and so kind and patient that he waits us for our taking a lot of photos. The main track to lake Condor took 1h+ walk to 5100m. Thanks to the guide who gave us appropriate advise and kept a good pace, we managed to get there without any problems, even one of our friends are complete novice in climbing. Without any doubt this was a great experience.

It was a great tour! The guide is fluent in English and teach us about Chimborazo and Ecuador mountains. We enjoyed the whole process.

Our family had the absolute best time today on the canyoning tour with Daniel, Ronaldo, and Alberto! We were picked up from our airbnb on time and taken to the shop to get all of our gear. Everyone was very patient with us while we figured out the right size shoes for our family of 5. Our guides had such good energy the whole time, getting everyone pumped up for our day, even during the drive there. We felt safe and cared for the whole time, from the safety talk and practice before hand, all the way through every jump and rappel. Our kids had an absolute BLAST with the guides who were very kind, especially to our younger son, taking care to get him warm when he started to get chilled. The canyon itself is gorgeous and we were so happy not to be rushed through, but allowed to take our time and really enjoy every part. Everyone was all smiles by the end, Team Jaguar really rocked it, thanks to the help of our awesome 3 guides! The lunch after was delicious as well, and much appreciated after all the work of rappelling and walking through the river. Overall this was a great way to spend a day in Banos and we are so glad we went with this tour group! Great communication, good and safe equipment, kind guides who were not only helpful but FUN, and a great adventure in a beautiful place! Thank you so much for making our first visit to Banos a good one!

Very good and responsible company. I traveled with my family and we went to several places in Ecuador from Baños. We loved the mountain tours (chimborazo, quilotoa and cotopaxi) and it was also exciting to do canyoning, rafting and jungle! I highly recommend.

We were traveling from Quito to Cuenca, visiting a couple of towns along the way and Baños is a must. We decided to take the Chimborazo tour from Baños and then continue our trip further south. Our guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. He told us a little bit about all the small villages we drove by. He made multiple stops along the way so we could take amazing pictures. And even took pictures himself which the company later shared with us. The way up was not easy but manageable. The air is thinner at over 5000m and we felt it. But we rested for a couple of minutes and kept going. All in all it was an amazing experience. A private tour allows you to go at your own pace. The Chimborazo is majestic.

This is right up there with one of the best things I've done in Ecuador. It's a double win , you get to explore the mountain/volcano as the knowledgeable guides explain the history, on the drive and of the mountain and volcanos around. The guides we're super friendly and entertained us immensely!! Walking up to the small lake there was time to have lay down and just take it all in the view from 5200meters is unreal. Then make our down and take off!! As fast or as slow as you like ripping skids or simply braking the bikes we're great a bit of off-road and slow right down for an up close encounter with the alpacas. The guides we're so much fun on the ride they let you go for it if you want or go slow and if you want to keep going then that's fine too I think I rode about 30kms it's down hill so it's great😁. They take you to lunch in the nearby town to try the local cuisine real local and there a famous drink all included a local famous guy carries ice from the mountain fresh for a juice of your choice, I didn't believe it at first but they were almost offended with my disbelief and proved it true. Highly recommend and these guys prices very reasonable for what you do and the service you get. Must do!!

This was a very pleasant day tour to the Chimborazo volcano. The initial date I selected was not available but the agency contacted me via WhatsApp and e-Mail and I could start the tour one day earlier. The communication was very good and the 2 guides were among the best guides I ever had. The explanations contained a bit of everything: flora, fauna, geology, etc.. It was great fun in our group of only 4 hikers. I can definitely recommend this day-tour.

Baños is a place of reference for tourism in Ecuador, then it needs a separate chapter. Then you spend 2 hours to go from Baños to Riobamba, in Riobamba you can make a city tour for 3 hours. But the main attraction is Chimborazo trip, you spend 1 hour to get Chimborazo National Reserve, in the entrance you should register your dates in Ministry of the Environment's office, in 35 minutes you can get first refuge (Hermanos Carrel), then you can take a Coca Tea in little bar and continue by walking to second Refuge (Whimper), this requires a good physical state, but the reward is wonderful. I recommend arrive to Chimborazo reserve at 09:00 at least.

El mejor tour con transporte cómodo, es bastante personalizado y los guis toman el tiempo para fotos, deteniéndose durante el recorrido con el chimborazo de fondo y con el tiempo suficiente para realizar la caminata hasta la laguna a 5,100 metros. Sin duda lo recomiendo excelente trato.

El tour a Chimborazo fue muy agradable, los guías fueron muy atentos, se detuvieron en el camino para que degustáramos la comida ecuatoriana, tuvimos muchas explicaciones sobre los lugares de interés. Hice varios tours con agencias en Ecuador y IVAGATOURS es el mejor! Desde comprar el tour en la agencia hasta el tour en sí, ¡lo recomiendo mucho! Cuando regrese a Baños seguro que haré otros tours con ellos. Y el dia era hermoso! el volcán era maravilloso

יצאנו עם הסוכנות פעמיים, לטרק ולסיור באזור בניוס, והיה פשוט מדהים. המדריך מעורב מאוד, מסביר וכל הזמן מצלם. הסוכנות נעימה מאוד, סבלנית לשאלות וגמישה לכל מקרה. היה כיף גדול תודה לאלופים האלה!

Súper recomendado el plan de día en el Chimborazo con descenso en bicicleta. Salimos de Baños a las 9am, después de un par de paradas para que nos fuésemos acostumbrando a la altura llegamos a la entrada del parque Chimborazo, donde nuestros guías, Daniel y Alfredo (un 10 ambos), nos dieron indicaciones para subir caminando del primer refugio (4800msnm) al segundo refugio (5000msnm). Es una Caminata de aproximadamente 1 kilómetro, que tardamos en subir 1 hora ya que íbamos parando para evitar que a ninguno nos diera mal de altura. Tanto Daniel como Alfredo estuvieron pendientes todo el rato para asegurar el ascenso de todo el grupo (que era reducido, éramos sólo 6, otro punto a favor). A la llegada al segundo refugio 2 de nosotros continuamos un poco más hasta llegar a una pequeña laguna que es el punto mas alto que se permite de ascenso si no vas a hacer cima. Una vez de regreso en el primer refugio cogimos las bicis y bajamos durante 1 hora, aproximadamente 30km, ESA FUE LA PARTE MAS DIVERTIDA SIN DUDA. El volcán se dejó ver todo el día, una auténtica maravilla de la naturaleza. Si van a Baños, ir al Chimborazo es un imprescindible y la agencia, y sobre todos los guías,100x100 recomendable.

Excelente día en el Chimborazo! Alberto fue nuestro guía. Aparte que nos compartió mucha información importante sobre El Ecuador, compartimos actividades propias de la provinicia que nos encantaron: como las dobladitas de maíz.
