Thank you so much Paloma & Arturo for getting us every where safely and providing us with a great tour! Chichén Itzá: got there at a great time where it wasn’t too crowded and we were able to take pictures easily. Great information. Valladolid: lunch in town was delicious. I had the chicken enchilada with chocolate mole and hubs had the lomitos (pork) with fruit and coconut ice cream. Recommend all, but especially the lomitos. We had time after to walk around and shop. Cenote: We visited Xux-Ha cenote. We had the place almost completely to ourselves (the tour group) which was really nice. Again easy to take pictures and swim around. Changing area is on site. Life jackets available. Bathrooms: There’s bathroom a break one hour into the two hour drive to the location with snack and souvenirs to purchase. Every location also had bathrooms easily accessible. Definitely recommend this tour!

If you are at all on the fence about booking this experience, let me be the final push to go for it! This is one of two tours we booked through Mexico Kan (the other was the full day Sian Ka'an experience--also INCREDIBLE) and I am overall impressed with this company as well as the staff who make it happen. The day prior, there was great communication from the company about the schedule and what to expect. The driver, Arturo, had it dialed in and was there to pick us up from our accommodations precisely on time. It is a long drive to Chichen Itza and home, but the van was comfortable enough with AC, snacks, and a water cooler. The company even offers to lend you clean canteens if you do not have a water bottle of your own--saving you money and more plastic in the environment. Chichen Itza, Valladolid, and the Xux Ha Cenote are spread out enough that it kind of breaks up the drive on the way home and makes the pace of the day feel manageable. While all of these sites were all remarkable destinations on their own, I must say that Cesar, our guide, made the experience exceptional overall. Not only is he a passionate and dedicated learner and a wealth of historical knowledge, he is legitimately a kind and conscientious person beyond anything I could have expected. One of our passengers had to request a bathroom on the drive to Chichen Itza, and while we pulled over at a business to allow for the break, I noticed Cesar pay the worker there out of his wallet for the guest to use the bathroom. No one would have known otherwise as he didn't mention it or ask the guest to pay themselves. At the ruins, the heat and sun exposure is no joke, and he made every effort to direct our group to pockets of shade and find resting places to discuss the sights--something that I took for granted at first but really appreciated as he truly was looking out for each of us. Not only that, but he speaks Mayan and Nahuatl and so respectfully and kindly interacted with the various vendors at the ruins, highlighting the imagery in their handworks in the history he was telling. At the restaurant for lunch in Valladolid, he hardly sat to eat, supporting the servers and even balancing a table with a wobble. At the cenote, he highlighted the importance of the space spiritually and environmentally and encouraged deep reverence from all of us while we enjoyed the cold swim on a hot day. To add to that, another guest became ill and he stayed with her to tend to her while the rest of us went swimming. Truly a gem of a person and a major asset to Mexico Ka'an. It was a gift that we had him as our guide! Cesar, if you read this, we SO thank you for taking a wonderful tour to an even higher level with your knowledge and generosity!!!

It was all great. Our guide Cesar was amazing. Very knowledgeable on the history of all the places we went, and he went above and beyond. It really is a full day, an extensive tour of Chichen Itza, brief stay and lunch in Valladolid, a beautiful town (Cesar took us on an optional extra to look at an amazing mural in the town hall) and lovely cenote off the beaten track

We had a very stressful morning because of Mexico Kan Tours. The tour company texted us at 8pm the evening before our tour, changing our morning pick-up time from 7:40am to 6:50am. We felt it was extremely unprofessional to push up the pick-up time with less than 12 hours notice (and after business hours). Since the breakfast at our hotel doesn't open until 7am we were left without breakfast (it was also too late in the evening to pick up food for the morning). I would not recommend this tour and I believe there are more professional tour companies in Tulum

Clear communication before the tour started and prompt pick up in the morning. The entire day was outlined clearly whilst we started the journey in the comfort of the shuttle with A/C, fresh water and complimentary snacks. We spent over 3hrs at Chichén Itza as Alondra’s knowledge and passion really bought the experience to life for us. Following the tour around the ruins we had an authentic and delicious lunch in a local town. Finally, we visited a stunning community run Cenote to cool off after the warm day. I would thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone who is genuinely interested in understanding the Mayan culture in more detail. Thanks for a great day guys!

We had a fabulous time. Our guide Carlos knew his stuff incredibly well. Very interesting - and he was a great guy. He also took care of transportation, tolls, lunch, lines, everything. On our own it would have been a very different experience.

It was definitely worth it, Luigi did an excellent job explaining and making it enjoyable, the whole tour was amazing. Food, culture and nature what else can you ask for? I know what, a professional photographer lol…. Luigi was the best taking pictures for us, make different sides, angles and poses. Just awesome experience.

We highly recommend this tour. Luigi, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly and we learnt a lot about the city of Chichen Itsa in an interesting and informative way. We then had a lovely meal at a restaurant in Valladolid and were able to look around the picturesque town. In the afternoon we visited a beautiful cenote which was a refreshing way to end our day. The water is crystal clear and not overcrowded. Luigi provided us with plenty of purified water to drink during the day and bananas and cookies to eat in the car on the way there. Chichen Itsa is a very hot location so wear sunscreen and bug repellent with a sunhat. Plenty of souvenirs to buy afterwards. There is a place to change at the cenote so bring your swimming costume. The tour bus picks you up from your hotel and drops you back at the end of the day. There are also only 6 people per tour which makes it more enjoyable.

We had an amazing day visiting Chichen Itza, a cenote and Valladolid town. The tour was very organized, without too many activities packed in a single day. The guide Paloma was a star, she is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a great experience! The driver Gaspar was also great, very reliable and ponctual! Woudl definitely recommend it!

Right from the time we were picked up from our Airbnb until we were dropped off in the evening, our experience was excellent! Carlos is the most knowledgeable tour guide I have had at Chitzenitza (I have been two other times and the depth of knowledge Carlos has, far exceeded the others). He and Axel (driver) were fun and professional. Lunch was delicious in a beautiful colonial Spanish style hotel in Valladolid and our cenote experience was incredible as it was just our small group of 9. Having a small tour made the experience so much more enjoyable. The snacks provided were nutritious and yummy. I would highly recommend this tour company! I will definitely be using their services again in the future. Thanks again Carlos and Axel!

Was a great experience. Cesar was an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. He made sure “Everything was clear like the water of the Cenotes”. If you’re going to Chichen Itza, you must book this tour, it was a small group so it wasn’t a lot of chaos with wrangling the group. We had lunch at a really nice hotel and the food delicious was delicious. Finally, the cenote that we finished the day at was perfect. It wasn’t crowded, we gave us an hour to experience it. I think the group towards the end was a little tired so we only spent about 20 minutes there. FYI it’s approximately an 11-12 hour tour. Never the less the tour was perfect 5/5.

I had a great time! Transport: Small van that holds up to 10 passengers. It was a new, clean vehicle with good air conditioning. Our driver, Rubin, drove safely. There was a brief pit stop about an hour away from Chichen to use the restrooms. Chichen Itzá: Excellent tour with our guide, Marco. I appreciated the pictures to help narrate Mayan beliefs. The tour content added meaningful historical context. Lunch: Delicious! We went to a nice restaurant with a beautiful inner courtyard in the main plaza of Valladolid. It is a 3 course meal (not buffet style), consisting of chips/guac, then your choice of 1 of 5 entrees, and your choice of 1 of 3 desserts. The mole chicken was tasty. Service was efficient. Cenote: Magical! I was expecting this to by kind of a throwaway stop, but it ended up being one of our favorite experiences in Mexico. It’s a giant cavern with rare dappled sunlight. (I appreciated this, because it’s mandatory to rinse off any sunscreen beforehand). You can do jumps from platforms, swim around, etc. Beware: Put your jewelry and watches away before swimming, because the cenote is deep and lost items are truly lost. I learned a pricey lesson. Organization: Excellent. The tour was well-timed. We were at Chichen when the sun was high in the sky, which helped to demonstrate astronomical elements of the structures. We went to the cenote when it was still hot outside, so it was refreshing. Safety: Excellent. Never had any concerns. We stayed in fairly well-traveled areas the whole time. Other: They have snacks and filtered water on the bus.

We are so glad we went on this day trip from Tulum to Chichen Itza! Paloma our guide and Carlos our driver were always friendly, cheerful, and made sure we were taken care of. They provided purified water and snacks for the journey. Paloma was very informative - she went over background history during the car ride, and provided a lovely tour of the sites (both at Chichen Itza and in Valladolid). She always answered our questions and helped us take good photos as well. Thanks for hosting a great tour!
