My wife and I took this tour Nd we enjoyed it. Matt was our tour guide and did a great job. We learned many new things and got to see some buildings in a different light. Tip - Dress warmer than you think you need...it is the windy City.

John I was so insightful and polite throughout the tour. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn about some of the newer sky scrapers in the city!

Matt provided an excellent walking tour of Chicago architecture from the Modern era - and the afternoon of New Year's Eve, no less! When our little group admitted that we didn't know much about architecture in general, and especially not much about modern architecture, he gamely answered our very basic questions about the buildings on the tour, and even pointed out some interesting Art Deco and other style of buildings. We left the tour with a much deeper appreciate and understanding of modern architecture. It was a great experience, and we'll definitely be booking another Chicago Architecture Center tour the next time we're in town!

A great walking architecture tour of Chicago! To physically be shown and informed of the buildings was great. Best part was actually going inside the Chicago Motor Club lobby. I will not look at a skyscraper again I the same way. Fantastic and informative time well spent with our tour guide Wayne.

I loved this tour! Modern architecture has never appealed to me, but it is so prevalent that I decided to take this tour to learn more about it. The tour gave me an excellent introduction, including comparisons to what came before, the ideology that was foundational to this approach, political forces that supported the modernist building boom in Chicago, and developments in methods and materials that made this style of architecture prossible. The tour guide did an excellent job of pointing out distinctive features of the mid-century modern buildings that we walked by. I'm still not a big fan, but some of the buildings we saw (for example, the Inland Steel Building) were so beautiful that they won my appreciation.
