As I was traveling alone, I chose this tour to avoid all the logistics of getting to and from, and it looks like the chinese fortunetelling I received in the temple on top of the hill turned out to be true as I was the only one this specific tour, meaning I basically got a private tour by myself. Malee was an excellent guide with good knowledge of everything from local traditions to the more historic side of the sites we visited. I opted for the 4PM tour, which I think was a good thing as it had up been towards 40C earlier that day, which meant that the 30 min hike at the beginning was really not bad at all, especially when the canopy covered us from the sun. After visiting the first temple, we were picked up and driven to the top, which only had the stairs with 300 steps, at which point the sun was starting to set. As it had rained the day before, we were able to get a full view over the city. In summary, I really felt that I got my money's worth for this tour, and then some.

My friend and I had an unforgettable temple tour experience. Although the city was very hot (around 104 F/40 C), the weather cooled as we hiked up the mountain. We chose the 4 pm start time, which was a smart option for combatting the heat. The hike was only 30 minutes and not too strenuous at all. No mosquitos or snakes to worry about, but we saw lots of cute little lizards! The temples were gorgeous and full of friendly dogs that are being taken care of by the monks. The views at sunset and twilight were beautiful. Our wonderful experience was guided by Malee! She was very informative, knowledgeable, and kind. She introduced lots of local tidbits about the temple’s practices and the surrounding natural landscape to enrich our tour experience. She was very accommodating and attentive; she answered our questions and even dropped us off at a night market so we could find a local dish we mentioned we wanted to try. We have so many great memories thanks to Malee, and we recommend this tour to any visitors wanting an enriching cultural experience of Chiang Mai!

Late morning workout! Bring water and appropriate walking shoes. Guide was pleasant and friendly. Tour started off with pickup then hike then quick tuktuk ride up mountain up to the edge of the temple. Guide gave us a tour and some history lessons - we were then given some time to explore the grounds. Small group (only 4 people) worked in our favor and the trip was overall well worth the value.

Fantastic tour of two beautiful temples led by a wonderful guide. Malee was extremely warm and knowledgeable, and really made this a special experience — especially since I ended up being the only one on the tour! 10/10 would recommend.

A great and informative tour. Saman is a very friendly guide. Doi Suthep is a beautiful location and we enjoyed the local knowledge about the jungle that was passed on from Saman during the hike.

The tour was very interesting and meaningful. After a small hike we got to see some great views of temples inside the jungle. These temples are active and the place was very peaceful; Male taught us a lot about the way the monks live and their routine, as well as some things that bring good luck in the buddhist religion which made the experience a lot more fun. The second temple had more tourists but we got to see many more monks preparing for the New Year’s celebration and that was great. Thank you Malee for teaching us so much and being so patient and kind! Would totally recommend this experience and guide.

Loved each moment. Got some beautiful photos and learned a lot. Malee took the time to cover each temple in depth and check in with me if I wanted pictures (which she took for me :) ) , use the restroom and check the pace during our hike. Thank you for such a magical adventure

We took a tuk tuk with our guide to visit the two religious aread outside of Chiang Mai. It was helpful to have some background presented to us.

Nice to be outside of Chiang Mai and see the spiritual sites. Did this on my last day at 05:00 which would have been dead time. The 'hike' was downhill (05:00 sessions are, apparently) so no sweat. If you really want detailed info about what you see, you'd better do your learning beforehand. Otherwise, nice guide, who tirelessly takes your photos. Much obliged! ☺️

Wonderful experience and Marle was a great tour guide! She was sweet and knowledgable and offered to take everyone’s pictures at each location. We went at 5am for the morning hike and temple tours which was the perfect time to go based on the tremendous heat. Note that March and April the city of Chiang Mai is coated in smoke due to the Myanmar fires for farming so the pollution is terrible and we couldn’t see the sunrise over the city through the heavy smoke. Overall great tour!

Great tour. Malee is a wonderful host & my favorite personal photographer. The temple itself is breathtaking, however the hike at 5pm in 100 degree weather was challenging.

Overall a really great experience. Our guide had a lot of knowledge. We appreciated going in the afternoon/evening as it was extremely hot. Highly recommend

This temple tour was amazing - being able to see both the quiet & picturesque Wat Pha Lat and then the magnificent Wat Phra That Doi Suthep was amazing! Malee, our guide, was really kind, fun, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!

Great experience with my guide Malee! She was very informative and did a great job of making sure I got pictures throughout the experience. 😃 The hike can be a little tough if you’re not in good shape 😅 mostly because of the heat.
