Lisa was amazing! She kept us engaged the whole time. Loved her story telling ways! We will definitely be telling friends and family who plan to visit Charlotte.

The Dunhill Hotel stories. The Cemetery. Walking through the city was cool at nighttime. Visiting the different locations was neat rather than just hearing about the places.

I have never done a tour like this before, but Lisa was awesome! She was so personable and told great stories. She makes me want to research the stories of my own town. So glad we did this on our trip to Charlotte.

Our Booze and Boos ghost tour began on a cold, moonlit Saturday night three days after Valentines. We gathered at the Dunhill Hotel and had some drinks – dare I say spirits – before the rest of the tour group arrived. Deidra, or was it Dead-ra?, introduced herself as our tour guide and quickly passed out glow sticks so we wouldn’t get lost as we toured the Uptown sights and gave us an EMF Detector to help determine if spirits were nearby. The lights quickly went from green to red indicating spirits were close by. Deidra began the tour with great information about the history and ghosts within the Dunhill, and we soon departed for our next stop. As we left the property the couple that was in our group seemed distressed and distracted – was the tour going to be too long? Were they worried about the cold? We couldn’t tell, but we were soon at our first stop learning the history of the location and the ghosts that were known to inhabit it. As we were directed to move to our next stop which would be further from the hotel, the young couple was no longer with us. Everyone looked up and down the street for the couple – looking for the glow sticks, a sign, or a face, but the couple seemed to have simply vanished from our presence. As we decided to continue the tour we noted that the EMF went from red (spirit activity) to green (normal) with the departure of the young couple. We continued the tour and had a wonderful time, learning the history of the locations, hearing stories of the mischievous ghosts, and seeing the signs that they’ve left behind for us. Overall, we had a fun time and gave three cheers for the Booze and Boos night.

DO THIS TOUR! My sisters came to visit for my birthday and we love doing ghost tours, this was absolutely in our top three of all we’ve done all over the world! Lisa was such a bubbly sweetheart who made the tour beyond entertaining and welcoming. It was POURING out and you’d think that would ruin an experience but Lisa still made it so much fun! The rain didn’t damper a bit of it! I will be recommending this tour to everyone!!

Lisa was an amazing storyteller and host. I enjoyed being able to hear cool ghost stories, bust also a mix of the history of the city and its past. Being able to check out the city with someone who knew the streets made us enjoy the place even more. Thank you!

My sisters and I have taken 15+ ghost tours and this one was topnotch! Tour guide Hailey was a lot of fun and kept us entertained throughout the evening. The walking was not demanding, and the bartenders all confirmed the stories! I'm sure that my local sister will be back.
