A very enjoyable trip made into an outstanding one by our tour guide Niels.Unfortunately the weather was not on our side to complete the Aiguille du Midi but he ensured that we had a wonderful day in beautiful Chamonix. A highlight of our day trip to Chamonix from Geneva was Niels, who is a fantastic guide. Charming, knowledgable, and funny, he truly made the experience enjoyable for us. Unfortunately, weather (strong winds) precluded us from enjoying the Aiguille de Midi and Mer de Glace, but who cares? We filled the day with a walking tour of Chamonix, some shopping, a delicious lunch at Rose du Pont, and a walk around Lac des Gaillands. We saw an ibex on a rock face, people-watched, and absorbed the sights, sounds, and smells of a beautiful place that we had never been. A truly worthy experience, and one that we would repeat (with hopes the winds would be gentler).

After booking through viator for an excursion that I thought included everything apart from lunch. I was a little disappointed and felt mislead by the marketing and advertising of the tour. I thought the tour included a pass on the train and Mont Blanc, to be told when I arrived I only booked the basic package. It is very misleading and I was a little annoyed that they don’t make this clear when you book. It felt like it was trying to catch people out, and a few others in the group felt the same. It put a dampener on the day, The fine print is not very clear and should include the full price of £220 when you book and not just £90. The tour guides Niel and Zach were excellent! Friendly and gave you a lot of information and history very good. It was a little disappointing that we couldn’t go up to Mont Blanc because of the weather, however they did take us to a different mountain which was just as cool. I do personally think you should not just advertise the basic excursion as you can book a bus for 3/4 cheaper than the mini bus.

Niels was an awesome guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us recommendations to other places we're visiting and he was very patient. Chamonix was beautiful! Be ready for some serious altitude change.

Overall, this trip was fantastic. Neil was an excellent tour guide with a strong knowledge of chamonix and all of what it has to offer. Mt Blanc was incredible and going inside a glacier was truly special. Chamonix is a lovely town with delicious food and some of the best coffee I’ve had! Our group size was 12, so it wasn’t too big, and Neil made it personal and kept us all in one group. Tom was also a great driver. Absolutely recommend this tour over any other similar offering.

This tour was wonderful ! Our guide Neils was amazing, so knowledgeable and full of passion , answering all our questions and making sure all of us were looked after.
