We arranged a private city tour with Cesar, he was knowledgeable, professional, courteous. Cesar showed us Cartagena very well and we learned many new things about La Fantastica! He picked us up at our hotel, mentioned places to shop if we wanted to purchase souvenirs and local restaurants. We had a delicious lunch ala Picua restaurante! We did enjoy this tour very much, and we highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to make the best of their time in Cartagena! Thank you Cesar!

Wonderful experience. From the moment we were greeted at the dock until our return we were constantly being provided with sites to see and historical facts about Cartagena. With Louis under the wheel of our van we were able to weave our way through the worst traffic congestion I’ve ever seen. Cartagena traffic puts Southern California (the 10, 5, and 405) to shame. I cannot imagine how larger tour vehicles got at, most of the tour time must have been sitting in traffic. Our guide, Felipeli, was constantly giving us facts and answering questions. His guided tour through the fort (or is it a castle - he’ll let you know as you leave the walled city). Visit the La Popa Convent, Getsemani, and many other sites. Shop as much as you want or none at all. The tour ended at the dock area and we had time to visit the zoo area. Anteaters, sloths, macaws, peacocks, oh my. Had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend booking this tour. Easy to work with and well organized!

Great overview tour of Cartagena. Cesar was an interesting and knowledgeable guide on everything from history of the city to where to eat like a local. I thoroughly enjoyed the time and experience. Highly recommend you do this on the first day of your stay as it’ll help maneuver the city and know what you’d like to return to.

Small group on a very hot day! Very full of history- city is large, saw the 2 places I wanted to see- Walled city and Getsamani. Fair amount of walking, wear comfortable shoes. great guide- has great love for his city. I would have like to spend more time in Getsamani walking streets- beautiful murals and local shopping .

Our guide Felipe was very personable and extremely knowledgeable and when I wanted to stop at the chocolate shop, we did. Our driver knew the ways to bypass the city traffic to get to where we needed to go overall a very good trip.

Really enjoyed this tour! Felipe was an amazing tour guide. Luis drove the air conditioned SUV brilliantly. Fell in love with Cartagena. Communication before and after tour was top notch. Pickup at the port was flawless. Would book with them again in a heartbeat. We had dinner with a couple from our ship who did a similar ship tour and they hated it. We enjoyed a very personal and up close tour of Cartagena that was facilitated by Cesar of Peace Travel Columbia. When my cell phone was accidentally left in a restroom, Cesar immediately addressed the issue and the cell phone was recovered. Cesar was an excellent guide and so proud of his city. Our stops included: the convent/monastery, the fort, old town, shopping and a terrific restaurant. Me and my friend asked for lunch and told Cesar we’d pay. He chose a phenomenal restaurant. A shout out to our driver, as well. Very conscientious and patient. Our vehicle was brand new and spotless!

Loved my trip to Cartagena. Beautiful city but what made it special was our fabulous tour guide, Cesar Rada. He had so much enthusiasm about his country and history that goes along with it. Second day he brought us to La boquilla Which was off the beaten path and so interesting. I would use this wonderful man again and recommend him to everyone.

Our day with Rey Felipe VII was very good. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about Cartagena and Colombian history. A big bonus was the tour sound track - his playing (and singing along to) music in the van and playing classical military music as we were walking/attacking through the tunnels in the Castillo. He made the history interesting by making guessing games and other ways to relate to it. One of the best guide experiences we have ever had.

Excellent and perfect luxury 4 hour tour of Cartagena. From the moment we were met at the cruise terminal to getting into the luxury van, we knew we were in good hands. Cesar was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide and planned the perfect 4 hour tour with time for coffee and shopping as well as seeing the major historical sites. I would definately use Cesar and his team for another tour and would trust Cesar and Peace travel to book my entire Columbia vacation. We couldn’t have asked for better.

I think it was way over priced and we spent a lot of time in traffic. I think people should just book the Walled City Tour as the add ons are here are not required and are way over priced.

I was talking to Cesar for months before our trip because I was not to sure how many people would be joining my husband and I from the cruise. Cesar was always helpful and understanding with the amount of people that kept on changing. He even helped me get people signed up when I was too busy at work. He also went beyond his job to help me get a letter coined and some envelopes. What your guide does that ahead of time? The tour itself was awesome and the places we visited were magnificent. We ended up with three nice vans to accommodated our large group. All of us in each van said they could completely understood their tour guide and had a great time At the end we had some great empanadas to eat on the way home. I would recommend to ask Cesar about that. Cesar also accommodated my request for a cooler. I put some champagne in the cooler so we could have some champagne to celebrate the excursion on the way back to the ship. Before we got back in the van to go back to the ship, Cesar stopped pure walk at a fresh squeezed orange juice stand. We all purchased a glass to go with the champagne. It was a huge success . The day we went was very hot. Just make sure to bring extra water and some snacks. Cesar is very honest and trustworthy. I would not only recommend him but I would use him again for other excursions.

I cannot recommend this tour enough. I think if you tour Cartegena in a large group (aka tour bus) you really lose some of the charm. I never felt like I was on a professional tour. Rather, I felt like a family friend was showing us around his hometown. The tour was paced very well. My personal highlight was empanadas at a secret small family-operated restaurant and the refreshing mandarin orange juice. Ceasar loves his city and helped us fall in love with it as well! If you're cruising, opt for this tour over a tour with the cruise line. I promise you won't regret it!
