If the itinerary had been reversed, we would have easily rated this tour five stars. Beginning our day early, exploring downtown Cartagena first would have been ideal, avoiding the crowds and truly immersing ourselves in its charm. Following this with a visit to Murcia would have been the perfect progression.

Gema was a marvelous guide. With her archeological background, she gave a wonderful insight to the history and current work being done to preserve the ancient sites.

What a waste of money. The only good part was the guide was very knowledgeable but the rest was horrible.

This tour was a fabulous introduction to Spain, Cartagena, and Murcia! Gema, our guide, has a Masters Degree in archeology and spends most of her time leading archeologists in working on the Roman and Arab antiquities under the ground in both cities. Her knowledge of the history, culture, day-to-day life and her “day job” Preserving the ruins made her an ideal guide. She also has a natural enthusiasm to share about Spain and her cities. This was my first Viator tour and I have to say it was far better than GetYourGuide.com tours I have taken- and they were Good. But his was exceptionall! I also like the convenience of them Picking us up by bus right by The port!

Gema, the tour guide is very knowledgeable and explained everything very clearly. She is an archeologist and has a very good knowledge of details in the history of Murcia and Cartagena

The tour guide spoke poor English. All participants in the tour were English speaking. However, the sights that we saw were beautiful even though the explanations were difficult to understand.

Our tour was excellent and the knowledge of our tour guide unbelievable. She was raised in Cartagena and she is very proud of the city it has become. The theater ruins were my favorite part and the history is by far the most interesting I have heard on this cruise. Thank you

Our tour guide, Trinny, was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The tour company is very experienced with accommodating cruise passengers. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating was the fact our tour was on Sunday, most of the shops were closed, so we could not take advantage of our "free time".

Too much information on the agriculture on the drive to Murcia. A quick explanation would have sufficed. Not worth the money or time. We traveled on a Sunday. Everything was closed. It was a total waste of our time. The ship docked at Cartagena. Plenty to do there close to the docks as far as bars, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Don't waste your money.

We didn't quite know what to expect, as this was our first-time booking an independent tour (Viator), not through the cruise ship. Our guide met our group at the port at the scheduled time. He introduced himself and escourted us to the bus. He did a great job of explaining sites along the way from the Port of Cartagena to the fishing village/marina of Cabo de Palos where we walked around, enjoyed the view and had time for a coffee/snack break. Our guide was so knowledgeable. We then drove to the Cabo de Palos Lighthouse. Upon our return to the port we did a walking narrated tour of the beautiful city of Cartagena. This tour was very well-organized with a bus in good running condition, a safe bus driver as well as our great guide.

It was a very nice day. Trini was a good tour guide and shared so much information about the tour. She explained things very clearly. Would recommend this tour

Great service, on time, good price, friendly guide, Light house not worth the trip but Roman amphitheater was nice to see even if it was from the outside because we didn’t get to go in.

Amazing tour! Even though we did not get to go to Murcia, due to a festival, causing streets to be closed. Another seaside town was substituted which was a nice place to stop to have a nice cup of local coffee. Cartagena was fabulous! There were many beautiful buildings to see and restaurants to enjoy. I would recommend.

The tour was cancelled the morning of the tour. Have no idea whether it would have been good or bad. Just left at pier with nothing planned.

We toured with Spain Day Tours in Oct. from our cruise ship, and went to Palma de Mallorca and Cartagena & Murcia We had a wonderful time on the tours, we visited a number of amazing locations and were very pleased with all of the aspects of the tour - the stops, the tour guides and the vast knowledge they had of everywhere we went and everything we saw. Just the ability to get to the towns and have a guide explaining everything is well worth the price.

We have done several tours with Spain Day Tours from our cruise ports. This Spring we went to Granada and the Alhambra from Malaga, as well doing a tour of Cartegena and Murcia from the port of Cartegena. Our guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant and spoke excellent English. The tours were well-organized with an appropriate balance of guided time and free time. The prices were much less than the cruise line's excursions and Spain Day Tours guarantees getting you back to the ship on time and will also refund your money if the ship misses the port. We hope to do many more excursions with Spain Day Tours.

The guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Transport was in small bus, 2 seat, an aisle, then one seat. If you are big, I am 5' 11', 260 lbs, you will find the seats cramped, especially if you are sitting with another large person in the two across section. This company does not utilize the radio transmitted ear phone technology other group tour companies use. Difficult hearing the guide unless you kept pretty close.
