100% recommendation!! We had the best time! Great stories, amazing food, such an awesome time, definitely do this!! A good variety of food from hummus to wraps to a yummy dessert!

Very glad we chose this tour for our first activity in Israel! We got to try a bunch of different things instead of just one or two like we would have done if we went on our own. It was nice to hear some facts about the market and surrounding area from a local as well. We went in the end of July so it was very hot for some parts but other parts were under shade and cooler. I personally did not enjoy the dessert when Israel has so many other delicious dessert options but can appreciate the historical significance of the dish! We went back and walked through the market again and art market next door (which our guide told us about during the tour) afterwards. I would recommend this tour to anyone but I think I would suggest to do it on a weekday if you do not want the market so crowded although the crowd did not really bother us. There is also a bathroom break halfway through for people like me who over-hydrate before going outside in the heat!

The tour with Yael was great and very informative. We first had a juice/smoothie shot, then we had a Yemenite dish called Mallawah (simple, but so tasty). After that, Yael brought us Frena, a quarter pita filled with a 10/10-aioli sauce and slow cooked meat or, in my case, cauliflower. Inbetween the dishes, she told us about the history of the market and the city of Tel Aviv. The best main dish was the Hummus with different toppings. For our group of 7 people she brought us three bowls of different kinds of Hummus, and everyone was quite full after that. As a first dessert, we had two Baumstriezel together (I don't know why this was part of the tour as it is not really typical Israeli food ... :D) and as a second dessert we had Malabi at a famous place a little outside the market - this was my personal favorite. It was a lot of food, but not too much, and with the knowledge Yael shared with us, the price is appropriate, but I think I would not take a tour of this price if it wasn't a gift... :)

I brought my adult children and me and my husband on this tour. I have done it numerous other times and each time it is very different but always excellent! There are quite a few tastings, enough to fill one up! I can not eat gluten so I didnt get as many tastings as the others but our guide went above and beyond to put different things together for me. I did not feel left out. Our guide made it a very personal experience as she had a relationship with the different places we stopped and they were all ready for us when we arrived. I highly recommend this tour to get some good ISREALI flavors!

This tour was informative AND delicious! We learned about the vendors and the history of the market as we enjoyed various types of food. We loved that vegan options were always available too. It was a great way to experience the Carmel Market!

It was nothing special and over priced. We first tasted 2 "health" drinks which were terrible, then tasted 3 other dishes: a falafel, a pita and something made with pyllo dough which were pretty good, then we tasted hummus which was good, but then we had a full size dessert that was terrible. I would have rather tasted a few other desserts. Save your money, if you go to the Carmel Market do your tasting on your own.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable, personable and really knew how to get the group involved in conversation. His English was excellent and very understandable. The food choices were great. Weather bad but he made the best of it and got us eating inside.

Tour groups are not my preferred way to discover a new place. However I found myself in Tel Aviv for work with a day to spare and as a solo female, wasn’t that keen to explore the city on my own. I’m so glad a booked the tour - it was great! Our host was really nice, her knowledge fantastic, the pace and size of the group perfect. The market (on a Friday) is busy but the host was very skilled at finding little quiet spots for us to enjoy the food - thank you! The food was amazing and the logistics well organised I would highly recommend the tour.

I had Yan as a tour guide in the Carmel Market and I have only positive things to say about him! Even though all guests had cancelled and I was the only one left, Yan still went about the task with high energy and super cool info along the way. I felt extremely comfortable in his company and he constantly checked up on me to make sure that I was ok or if I needed anything. He was so kind and pleasant to be with - and I now know a lot more about the fascinating story about the market. The trip exceeded my expectations - I thought I was just going to taste some food and then the trip was over. But I got the whole story about the market, the food and everything in between. Any questions I had, he could answer. He really is smart! And the food! Oh my it was soo delicious. I even got a doggy bag with me if I couldn't finish all the food at once. I have nothing but good things to say about Yan and can highly recommend others to buy the same tour with Yan as the guide. Thank you very much!

I took this tour the day I arrived! It was amazing! Jan is a great guide. He made sure we were well looked after and full! The food was delicious! He supplies water, wet wipes, napkins and was informative, helpful and knowledgeable! I have recommended this tour to friends who are coming…all will love it!

As someone who grew up in Tel Aviv and know the market since childhood, I was surprised how little I knew about the market and how many aspects I still had to discover, whether it is historical facts, present customs and traditions of the market life and of course delicious food that I never noticed before. Our tour guide, Barak, not only delightfully guided us through the tour, but also created a familiar atmosphere among the group members. As well he made sure that we are active in the tour discussion and not just standing and listening to dry facts. The tastings were adjusted in a way that everyone will enjoy the tastings and will end up very full, no matter what kind of dietary restrictions you have. Definitely recommend this tour for tourists from abroad, tourists from all over Israel and even to local Tel Avivians!

What a wonderful way to experience this legendary market. Going alone can be overwhelming so it was great to be led by our high-energy, enthusiastic guide Shir. It’s also more fun to eat with a group. We learned a lot of history and sampled a variety of local foods to make it a full lunch.
