This place could NOT have been better! I did a LOT of research before this trip, and I was so glad I booked with Maquique over the other big names. It was the highlight of our trip to Arenal! My family and I have never been rappelling before, and the guides were amazing. They were funny, put us at ease, and captured some great shots of us (INCLUDED in the price - no commercialized upselling here!) We loved trekking through the canyon and appreciated that every single line was a different style/view, and not just the same thing over and over again. Afterward, we were even treated to a delicious lunch! Kenneth, Jason & Dario: MUCHAS MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!

Bario and Kenneth were the best guys to have as guides! Super safe, but they kept it light-hearted and fun. I only talked to Briffordson for a bit but he also seemed like a great dude. Each of the rappels was fun. All around, super chill folks, lots of fun, ¡Qué tuanis!

We had a great time. Rappelling was a blast and the guides did a lot to calm nerves and instill confidence. Lots of extras they include - lockers, water, pictures and videos, showers…they think through the end to end experience. Lunch was very tasty at the end and felt like a good reward for a challenging morning. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience canyoning with Maquique. As a couple, one of us had never rappelled before and the other has abseiled quite a lot - we both enjoyed this adventure equally. We felt safe in the hands of the friendly, knowledgable staff who broke us into smaller groups, so we weren't standing around waiting for too long at reach rappel. The canyon and waterfalls are beautiful, and lunch was a nice Costa Rican casado at a nearby restaurant and cooking school. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Maquique to other travellers.

this was the top to do on our list for this trip. I want to do it agian. Ronald and Kennith were awesome. we had to walk a bunch in the water on rocks and the wife and her friend aren't the best at that. Ronald and Kennith took the time to help them. it was amazing, with feeling super safe the whole time. They even took a bunch of pictures that they give you without charging. The lunch afterwards was a traditional Costa Rican meal and was simply amazing. I wish we had done more adventures with this company. tell next time thanks. Pura Vida

Phew! I was terrified, but my husband & son were ready. I had nothing to be afraid of - the safety practices followed by Maquique are top-notch. Our tour included 5 rappels and 2 zip lines, plus some fun hiking in the jungle. Be prepared to get wet. I wore lightweight hiking capris & those were perfect with the harness system. The guides take such great care of you that you feel safe & secure in their hands. My favorite was the "monkey drop" into the waterfall pool. We saw some fun wildlife while out there, including a large toucan, green snake & a wolf spider. Digital photos are included through DropBox, so you get great videos & pics without having to attempt to manage anything extra. We are usually skeptical of meals/restaurants included in tour packages, but this was the exception. We were given meat/veggie choices, then participants are either driven to or can follow a guide to the local restaurant. This is real deal cooking - large pots over a wood fire in a small, open-air place. We all had the chicken & it was delicious, falling off the bone, served with rice & beans, plus fresh juice. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone traveling in the area. Way more fun than just zip-lining around - you get to see & enjoy the jungle while having an epic time.

Book this you won’t regret it! These are good people and you get a zip line and homemade fresh authentic food at the end. Such an incredible experience. There is a beautiful chocolate horse on your way in please bring her him or her fruits or carrots l!!

Can’t say nothing about how much we enjoyed this tour/experience. From the time of being picked up by our driver through the whole thing, it was professional and well run. The staff was friendly. experienced, and attentive. There were several guides that made it feel safe and fun. The excursion includes times of hiking, repelling, and zip lines, with some of the zip lines and repelling be being a combination of both. Plan to get wet as you do go into the water at some of the points. Some of the trecking, especially on the way back to the starting point is steep through the mountain trails. If you’re not in fairly decent shape, it might be hard for some. It finishes with a very long zip line back to the actual starting point, and you have the option to invert and do it upside down which was fun.. They provided a nice lunch at the end as well as fresh fruit and water. Really enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it!

This was an AMAZING tour and the guides were all incredible! Do not miss this, the waterfalls were beautiful (especially at the end!) and the zip lines were a blast. the guides know what they’re doing and make sure you have a blast. Food at the end was delicious as well

We did a lot of activities in Costa Rica but this was the best. The guides here are really helpful and make the experience so much fun. One of our friends did one more rappelling experience with a different company the next day and he said this was way better than the one he did. Would do this again if I am ever back in Costa Rica.

This was by far our favorite thing we did in Costa Rica. So much fun! To be honest, our family of 4 was a bit hesitant to do the canyoning. But the guides were helpful and patient. Once we got over the fear of the first rappel it was all smiles from there. There were 5 rappels, 2 zip lines, plenty of beautiful hiking, all followed by a delicious lunch after. The company was also quick to respond to all the questions I had prior to booking. I do not hesitate to recommend this company.

Dario and Kenneth were fantastic! Such wonderful, kind, and patient guides! And the rappelling was super fun! Beautiful spot! And everything was very smoothly organized. Ability to shower after was a nice touch too! Highly recommend!

We had so much fun canyoning and White Water Rafting. The views on both adventures were amazing. Dario and Mario were great. Highly recommend.

Best part of our entire trip to Costa Rica! An absolute must do!! We chose Maquique because of their safety rating and guides. It was clear from the beginning we were in good hands- they were all unbelievable and gave us the confidence to have a great time! Easily the best excursion of any trip I have ever taken. Do yourself a favor and go on this adventure!! If we had more time- we would have gone twice!

Everything about this experience was amazing! My boyfriend and I had so much fun. The tour guides made us feel comfortable and safe and explained everything to us. They were so friendly and helpful. They picked us up from our resort and afterwards fed us lunch at a nearby restaurant. And yes, the food was delicious! Probably the best meal we had during the whole trip. I would highly recommend you book with this company.

This is an absolutely amazing adventure and certainly not one to miss. You get to have an incredible rainforest experience combining the thrill of rappelling down waterfalls and trekking thru the rainforest jungle. The staff is amazing and so friendly and helpful. Great for all ages except very small kids. This was the highlight of our Costa Rica vacation

My wife and I took our 5 kids. Ages 7,10,13,15,17. I was worried about our youngest kids being able to figure it out and being safe...The guides were amazing and make it totally safe and extremely fun for everyone! Several big repels with the biggest one being a 180 waterfall! 2 really fun zip lines as well. They even fed us, and the food was great! Thank you Maquique!!

So much fun with breathtaking views. The guides were so cool, they keep you laughing and smiling the whole time. I love that this was a combo of ziplines, repels in the waterfalls, and hiking through river beds.

We chose the 7am time slot and were in a small group of my husband, I and one other couple. The guides were super fun and explained everything very well. It was a blast!
