Booked a last minute guided tour to the site. Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly, answered all of our questions and was really able to give us insight into the life and times of this pre colombian temple. Highly recommend.

We had a perfect day for our tour which began at 9:00 am and included lunch. Lino was our driver and our guide and he was great. Very knowledgeable and engaging. There were only five of us in our group and with us taking the early tour, we lucked out and all told there were less than twenty people at the site, so our photos were great. A school group arrived just as we were leaving to go for lunch at a traditional small ranch house. Everything authentic and cooked over a wood fire. Very simple but delicious. The pyramid was my first and I’m so glad we chose Le Canada de La Vigen. It will be hard to beat.

Amazing tour! The pyramids were so well preserved. We were really excited about being able to climb up to the top and see how the structure was positioned to be a lunar calendar. Our guide, Israel, was incredibly knowledgable and welcoming. You can tell he really loves his job. The meal at the end was delicious as well! Make sure to pack your sunscreen and a good hat!

Our guide was so dedicated to sharing his fascination and knowledge of this site that he really drew our group in to experience more. We were able to walk admidst the ruins and climb the main structure with a panoramic view over the valley and to the mountains beyond. A nice walk to arrive at the site on a hilltop, experiencing the desert landscape.

This was an amazing tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, and funny. The fact that he was an actual archeologist made it perfect. We actually got to climb the steps to the top! There are no vendors of any sort. It is completely peaceful and beautiful. And you have wonderful scenery on the hike up to the site. I was very impressed!

Really interesting structures and story. Hire a guide, it is awesome and worth it. We went with Hernando, arranged through our hotel, Hotel Nena. Fantastic.

Lito was a fabulous guide. We booked our tour with another local company that canceled on us last minute. So we choose to pay a bit more to have a reliable company do our tour. Our guide Lito was professional , knowledgeable and personable .I highly recommend adding the lunch option , the food was delicious and added to the whole cultural experience. I highly recommend this reliable company to tour with. You won’t be disappointed or canceled on!

Excellent tour from start to finish. Easy to find office meeting spot. The bus ride to location was pleasant. Leno was a wonderful guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the site itself and highlighted other historical facts and theories that added so much to the tour. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent guide. The structures and history are fascinating. Getting to the pyramid would be challenging for someone who is not sure=footed. Also there is little shade so a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses are a must.

Well, he had to cancel due to the lack of interest. Hopefully next visit I will be able to connect. Average rating is due to the notification tour was cancelled the day before.

We loved being able to climb the pyramid, our guide was very knowledgeable, and the food was very tasty. There is a lot of walking with inclines and declines with beautiful scenery.

I really enjoyed our tour with Lino as our guide. The aspects of the tour that aren't clear: everyone waits at visitor center for all tour groups to arrive and then loads onto a bus that takes you to the site. You have to leave backpacks and purses at the visitor center. They will lock into lockers and give you the key. From the bus, it's a slightly uphill long walk to the actual pyramid. Beautiful vistas all around. We were very happy with the information that our guide gave us. Our small group was then taken to a home nearby for a home-cooked meal taken outside. It was a very nice experience.

Our tour of Canada de la Virgen Architectural Site was excellent. Our guide Lino, did an amazing job explaining bringing the past to life and made the experience truly memorable. We also enjoyed seeing the wild horses grazing around the site.

Very interesting different than most pyramid tours the history lesson was extremely interesting to all our adult children and their spouses were very interested in what was being said we all learned a great deal and lunch was delicious in a beautiful quiet spot.

Lino from Canyon Adventures was amazing - so knowledgeable and a great historian. His tour really made the trip to the Canada de la Virgen site come alive. It was fascinating and if you are in the area - it is not to be missed. We were there in early December.

So glad I stumbled on this place, looking for tours to end our time in SMA. It was a terrific day! Our guide Lino was incredibly knowledgeable & articulate about the Cañada and equally instructive with the horses. We were the first to arrive at the Cañada, it was awesome to be ahead of all the crowds, not a single other person in my pictures! We were at the ruins for 2 hours +/- You can see the map in one of my pictures, the color change denotes elevation change. BRING A BOTTLE OF WATER 💦 You are NOT allowed to take up any bags ONLY a bottle of water. I could not take my camelback 😞 There are also NO bathrooms 🚽 at the top. We then enjoyed a lovely brunch at a nearby farm after and I bought a hat for our ride 🐴 At the stables, Lino gave great instructions to ensure everyone had a good ride. The cowboys that joined us were very attentive, especially when one lady lost control and freaked out! (I do wish I had asked at booking how to make it a private tour, for not much more I could have had a day with less negative Karenisms) Overall the day was spectacular, the views were amazing! I would suggest long pants for the ride (I wore a skort to the ruins & changed into capris at lunch - wish I had brought jeans) The trail is full of cactus and mesquite, some of which is unavoidable. It was a full day of adventure, we were wrecked! Would highly recommend ❤️

Our guide was wonderful. Full of history and knowledge of the area past and present. We enjoyed the private home cooked lunch at a small ranch tucked into a private canyon. This is must do while in the area

Being in San Miguel for a week I was hoping to have an authentic Mexican experience. In the morning we went to the Archeological Site with Horatio who was so much fun and very informative of the meso-american culture. In the afternoon, after a wonderful lunch at the rancho we hiked for a couple hours above the nearby canyon with Frederico and Juan. Their insights and knowledge of the natural world we encountered was very helpful and enriched our experience.
