Really great way to spend a day, in contrast to the city life in Malaga. Alfonso shares his knowledge of the region, the flora and fauna, and all things nature related. The walk is pretty straightforward, flat walkways and not fast paced, but you need a head for heights! A great group of people on our trip, and lovely to share a smile but delicious picnic at the end of the walk. Highly recommended.

Extraordinary experience, we have never done anything like it before. It is very safe and not too crowded even though they say they have 2000 visitors every day. We went in a small group of eight people booked before the event, we would recommend this. Our guide was called Alfonso who was very good. We got the impression if you just turn up on the day you are in a much larger group the experience will not be as good. We finished the walk with a picnic provided by Alfonso which was a nice surprise and very welcome. Thank you Alfonso !

An amazing day! Our guide was wonderful and very informative. We walked more than 7km but it was a nice pace and didn’t feel strenuous. Not for people with the fear of heights. Otherwise I would highly recommend this tour! We had a great group of people and thoroughly enjoyed our day!

excellent tour from 1st minute to last. Pick up in Malaga all good, nice drive to north entrance, great walk with our guide, excellent info along the way, good pace, plenty of time for photos and info along the way. Nice snack at end of walk. And with the guide, easy to find bus back to our start point. Excellent all round, fully recommend.

A fantastic experience with a knowledgeable guide. Really recommend this tour with a small group. A must when you are visiting Costa del Sol and I will recommend both the trip and this organizer to my friends.

The views along the way were incredible. The guide made it easy for us to enjoy the hike. Showed up on time, car ride was comfortable, and provided detailed explanations and history along the path. The only thing that could be improved was the picnic food; as that wasnt our main focus, I still give the tour 5 star and highly recommend the tour.

The pick up was on time and at the location stated. Our guide, Alfonso, was very accommodating and knowledgeable, regularly stopping the walk to explain points of interests and allow time for photoshots. We could understand why, for some, the walk could have been challenging but we knew we were in safe hands. It was also good for us to know that lunch was provided.

Great small group trip with an excellent and knowledgeable guide. Recommend to go for stunning scenery and adventure. Paths are excellent and though it might be a long walk and challenging for some it’s very worthwhile. Height of summer heat … perhaps not the best.

Our guide Alphonso was excellent, very knowledgeable and set a reasonable pace. The lunch provided was superb, and made from local ingredients. The views on this hike are truly breathtaking.

I was immediately overwhelmed! The Caminito del Rey is magnificent. Walking along the one metre wide pathway attached to the side of the canyon far above the bottom of the gorge was a bit daunting at first. I am afraid of heights, but it really wasn’t frightening. Our tour guide Alfonso was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the history and even pointed out mountain goats in the forest. After our amazing walk, Alfonso provided us with a really nice picnic of fresh bread, chorizo and local cheese. This a wonderful adventure. Don’t miss it!

Absolutely brilliant trip with a great guide! Picked up from a convenient quote spot close to the station for the one hour journey. Very new people carrier with good space for us and the other three couples Our guide was brilliant, pointing out lots of history, geology and nature. The walk itself was spectacular, and taken at a leisurely pace. At the end, we had a great picnic with cheese, bread and ham All in all, a great day!!!

From pick up to drop off, everything was spectacular! Our guide was so accommodating by taking pictures for us, informative on plants, wildlife, history and current conditions. He answered all our questions and gave plenty of time for us to take pictures of the stunning landscape. After the hike he provided a picnic lunch of bread, cheese, sausage and bananas. Several little vendor’s with food, drinks and souvenirs at the end too. Be aware, restrooms are at the beginning and end and there are stairs throughout the hike. I’m afraid of heights and have a fractured back and was able to complete the hike! Definitely recommend if you want to experience something amazing!!!

This was the most memorable experience during our trip to Spain! The tour had everything you could hope for - a knowledgeable guide (Alphonso) and an unforgettable hike. Alphonso was very personable and provided interesting tidbits about everything in the region. He even took pictures for us at key spots along the hike. Although we were walking at very high heights, it never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in experiencing a unique adventure.

Brilliant Tour Alfonso is absolutely fantastic The experience was well worth the hike This has to be a bucket list thing to do Lunch was basic but it was ok The new platforms are constructed above the originals from the early 1900’s and to see these still there are absolutely amazing Knowledge of the area by Alfonso was also great, he discussed the history and what was done from the area Well done Alfonso and thanks Meeting point is a little vague, suggest name the hotel parking area of the Novotel as this would avoid the confusion Great small group limited to 8 people

Beautiful scenery, well informed guide and friendly group. The only criticism is that possibly a little break now and again would have been welcome. We saw other groups, having a rest, maybe sitting on a log or bench, but we just didn't get the chance. Having said that it was a good day and we all enjoyed it.

Best adventure of our 3 week tour in Spain. Alfonso is great, speaks English very well, answers all your many questions about Spain and Spanish customs. Our group of 8 got along very well, the pace of the trip was just perfect for us (70 and 72 year olds, the oldest in the group), as we were all so awed by nature and man’s achievements that we dawdled often to gaze and take photos. You will get a break to sit and enjoy some cheese, chorizo and bread. So my advice is don’t hesitate to book this tour with Alfonso of Activa Tours.
