As agreed, we were picked up from our hotel by a taxi van. After a short drive we left the main road and drove into the wilderness. At the Bedouin camp we were welcomed by our guide Ferris. He introduced us to the residents of the camp. We were welcomed with coffee. After a discussion about the Bedouin customs, the camels were saddled for a short ride. We were also allowed to bake bread. After this, we admired the sunset from a hill together with our guide. In the meantime, our food was prepared in the traditional way. This tasted really good. Meanwhile, Ferris had set up the telescope to view the stars and planets. He gave a very detailed explanation of everything we saw. It was very special to admire the stars in this way.

Big DISAPPOINTMENT! This excursion was way over-priced for what it was. We had done an excursion in the desert to visit a Bedouin camp in the past and this one paled in comparison. Here are a few things that let us down: - hotel transfer was supposed to be in an air conditioned vehicle. Instead, we were picked up by an off-duty, old taxi, with no A/C (not even working windows from the back seat) - we had to walk to the gates of our resort complex because the driver wasn’t let in, which was not a problem for any of the other tours we took during our stay. (The other tours had legitimate vehicles) - Only 2 of us did the camel ride (the 3rd person in the group chose not to), but regardless of this THE RIDE WAS LESS THAN 5 MINUTES!! Which was a big let down when the excursion description promised 30 minutes. We got on the camels, they were led up a sight hill and we got off. 5 minutes total. What was good: - Our time at the Bedouin camp was nice. Our hosts offered us hibiscus drink when we arrived and the local coffee and food was very good. They talked to us about their daily routine and culture. - The stargazing was also nice and the explanations interesting. Overall we were disappointed and the whole thing felt very gimmicky - all about taking pictures of us doing stuff. The price per person charged is way too high for the experience.

Great star gazing, very interesting guides! A life on a desert is so simple and so compelling at the same time...

The Camel Ride, Bedouin Dinner and Star Gazing in Marsa Alam is an unforgettable experience! From the Camel ride in the desert mountains, to learning about the Bedouins while sipping their tea and making bread. That in itself is so amazing, but what comes next is both exciting and tranquil at the same time. The sunset is beyond beautiful, the meal is delicious – but then the sun sets, and the stars come, the provided professional telecopes and expert astronomer adds to la lasting moment that will not be forgotten.

I love the stars now after doing this perfect tour. I enjoyed every minute in the tour, dinner was delicious, the view of the desert there is soo beautiful and also our tour guide was so informative. Sabri our tour guide gave us a lot of information about Bedouins and how simple is their life. And oh my god he is so informative about the stars and the constellations. I am sure if I come back to Marsa Alam I will make sure to do this tour again.

One of the best trips I went through. It is normal for me to go solo, but this time it was one of the best of them because it was a feeling like family, especially the staff, as it was the most useful and effective thing for me on this trip. You for sure must take this tour if you are visiting Marsa Alam - just be careful when getting off the camel lol

I just finished this tour and I have to say it has been my highlight to Marsa Alam! Sabry and his team made this an unforgettable experience that encompasses everything wonderful about Egypt! The food was incredible and authentic, the dancing was amazing, fun and interactive, learning about Bedouin life was incredible - but the best part for me was the star gazing in the desert at night with the high powered telescopes. It felt like I could just touch those stars - I’ve never seen stars so close and so bright!!! You do not want to miss this adventure - do not hesitate to book this tour!!!! And enjoy! Absolutely incredible! The guy who runs it (Sabry) is incredibly knowledgable, and he makes it a very, very fun trip! He is very relaxed and happy to engage with tourists like myself who like to ask lots of questions. You can tell that he loves his job! The tour itself is also incredible! The camel ride is a once in a lifetime experience! The dinner is delicious!! And the star gazing.... well, I can only say I never understood the stars, planets, or solar system until Sabry explained it to me! He was able to explain it in a way that actually made sense, and I could actually understand the constellation he was pointing out!

Der Tripp war super. Mit den Ausflügen unterstützt man außerdem Beduinen-Familien, was klasse ist. Das Essen war hervorragend! Lediglich die Zeit zum Sterne beobachten mit dem Teleskop war viel zu kurz. Auch gab es noch ziemlich viel Restlicht im Umkreis von 20-30 km. Daher hat man nicht die Menge an Sternen gesehen, wie bei kompletter Dunkelheit. Die Gesamtdauer des Ausflugs war leider auch ein bisschen kurz.

كانت مغامره أكثر من ممتازه ، استمتعنا بها انا واصدقائي ، من ركوب الجمال وحتى العشاء البدوي المطبوخ علي الطريقه البدويه كان حقا لذيذ ، مشاهده النجوم والكواكب كانت هي الاروع

Alles wirklich Prima gelaufen und hat es Spaß gemacht. Die Leute waren alle gut gelaunt und der Tourguide war klasse. Unsere Tour war Anfang Februar und da auf jeden Fall warme Kleidung mitbringen.
