My friend and I had a fantastic day with Andres today. He picked us up at our bnb and then we went to el cajas. He was so knowledgeable about the area. He pointed out many amazing birds, plants, flowers, all while explaining the importance of the region. His genuine love of the area was infectious. So glad we chose to go with him.

The trip was amazing with spectacular landscapes and Wilson, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. We would definitely book another tour.

Flavia was very professional and knowledgeable!! She answered every question that I peppered her with, I am a curious person and asked copious amounts of questions about flora etc. The two hikes were great, we especially loved the higher altitude hike even though my lungs did not like it. We enjoyed being with Flavia and invited her to Canada to stay with us, she is a great tour guide and a great person and we loved the Andean Highlands!!!

Cuenca was a highlight of my Ecuador trip, in large part due to Cuenca Bestours and their guide Luis. They created a custom 2 day itinerary that strung together four of their half day and one day tours- Cajas, the city and Ingapirca. I saw a ton in a short period with a knowledgeable, passionate and sociable guide- highly recommended! As many tourists had cancelled coming to Ecuador due to foreign news ( dont believe any of it! Super safe and esp Cuenca is affluent, clean, beautiful and safe)… my tour ended up being a private. CuencaBestours gave me a cery reasonable rate and Luis was a great guide. He grew up near Ingapirca, so if you go on that tour you will see his family’s region. Cajas was a higjlight- it reminded me of iceland- treeless but green and beautiful. Recommended!

Cajas is one of the most amazing places in all of Ecuador. I have visited several times, but nothing compares to visiting with a guide. Wilson took our small group to three locations including a wonderful vegan lunch. His English is impeccable and he knew so much about the flora and fauna and history of the area. He was also a very good driver and had a comfortable car.

Our tour to Cajas National Park was quite simply amazing. The landscapes were stunning and the flora and fauna were fascinating. Our guide Pedro really made the tour, he is knowledgeable and kind, he made sure everyone got the most out of the tour. I would definitely do other tours with him as he greatly enhanced our appreciation for the natural and human history of Ecuador.

Great trip around Cajas National Park. The views are gorgeous. The guide Xavier M was knowledgeable and helped us make the most of the rainy weather. Lunch was delicious!

Views were amazing. Both hikes were great and so different. Despite the rain and hail, we had a blast.

Scenic high altitude hikes with lake view, llamas, various indigenous vegetation, well maintained trail and superb guide. Off season (December) so only one other guest besides us. Trail nearly to ourselves. Great lunch.

Objectively speaking this tour was excellent. Manageable hikes, very scenic, guide Andres was superlative, the best seriously, perfect bi- lingual btw. Altitude @ 13k may affect some, it did for us. Lunch was great, nice location. Score; 9.1 (I don’t give 10s) Note that you should be in relatively good shape and have at least minimal experience hiking, dress prepared. Highly recommend Andres as guide.

We had a wonderful time exploring Cajas with Enrique. He is an exceptional guide and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our time in Cuenca!

A breathtaking landscape and Adrian was a brilliant guide with detailed knowledge of flora and fauna. He helped us make the most of it by tracking the birds we wanted to see and using sounds to lure them in! A brilliant experience, we wish we had more time!

It was rainy and cold but the views are great of the Cajas National Park. The first hike was easy and the second one was at higher elevation and longer but so beautiful. It was a little difficult because of the cold. The guide Moises was great and gave lots of information in English and Spanish. A bit pricey, but I would recommend.

I went on a shared tour with an amazing bunch of people, an equally amazing driver Manuel and a great guide Moises. The scenery was beautiful. The restaurant we visited excellent.

I had the privilege of embarking on a remarkable day tour to Cajas National Park with our exceptional tour guide, Wilson. Wilson's deep knowledge of the park, its ecosystems, and its rich biodiversity was truly inspiring. His enthusiasm and passion for the environment were infectious, making the day even more enjoyable.

An amazing day tour! The breathtaking views were certainly worth the trip. Our tour guide, Eddy, was highly knowledgeable. This was definitely a highlight of our trip. The tour lasted for two and a half hours, and luckily, it was mostly downhill, which was a relief as the altitude made it challenging to walk uphill.

We loved this tour! Cajas National Park is such a beautiful place. Every step is picture-worthy. I was glad we decided to visit as part of a tour because it seems that certain parts have restricted entry and you have to have some kind of permit. We were also informed that they limit the number of visitors per day, and we only got in because of the reservation with the tour company. We did two hikes: one at a lower elevation, and one higher. They are both pretty high elevation, though, so be prepared for that. It was also fairly cold and windy while we were there, but we actually got lucky with the weather as it didn't rain, nor did we get blasted with the intense sun. So, I was happy about that, but glad that I came prepared for any weather. Our guide, Christian, was amazing! He pointed out various plants and described their uses - some are only found inside the park. He also did his best to attract wildlife to us, and made sure everyone got to take a look. The lunch was delicious as well. Make sure you bring some snacks and plenty of water, though. Lunch happens after the two hikes (total about 3 hours). It was a great day, and we have loads of wonderful memories of this place. Thank you! 😊

My guide was Adrian and he was fantastic. Super knowledgeable, made great recommendations, and frequently asked about my preferences. The park was as amazing as billed.
