While the cable car was the expected highlight the lunch stop at a local market made the trip memorable. So very good and fun to see the activity in the market. Hugo spent quite a bit of time learning about what we liked so he could pick the right spot. Well done.

Juan is a great , energetic, informative guide that gave us an unforgettable tour of the City. Very empathetic about ability to climb. His encouragement got us to the top.

Danny was an excellent guide. His English is excellent. Very knowledgeable on the history of Quito and surrounds. The visit up the cable car was stunning with the views of Quito and the surrounding mountains and volcanoes. The visit to the winged Mary was very inciteful. The walking tour of the old city was at a comfortable pace, seeing some wonderful churches and learning the history of the rebellions, which lead to the independance of Ecuador.

Ximena was a fantastic guide for our first day in Quito! She was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. We started the day with the cable car and breathtaking views of Quito, then leisurely explored Quito Old Town including a delicious lunch followed by a chocolate tasting. We then visited the Virgin of Quito statue before ending our day climbing the towers of Basílica del Voto Nacional. She helped us to customize our private tour and gave excellent recommendations. We had a great time with Ximena and we can’t thank her enough for sharing her beautiful and vibrant city with us.

We were very concerned with what we had read was going on in Ecuador at the time with the gang violence, curfew, kidnappings from taxis and drug situation so this private tour worked out great. Andres was very knowledgeable and a great driver since the other drivers were aggressive. We went into historic Quito there was a large police presence so we felt safe. I expressed interest in chocolate so he took us to Yumbos for a tasting of very good chocolate. We were supposed to go on the cable car but it was too cloudy so we did the middle of the world tour which was much more interesting than I anticipated it would be. It was a great tour and day. The country is beautiful and the people very kind and helpful.

Tour was great! Highlight was the cable car to the top of the mountain. We saw all the highlights of Quito in a relaxed private tour. Guide was extremely knowledgeable about Quito and Ecuadorian history.

The cable car was down for maintenance, which was sad. But, the guide was amazing and knowledgeable. He was very friendly and customized the trip a little for use since the cable cars were down. Still a great tour and would definitely use them again.

Great private tour about the Capital City of Quito. Travel too the Old Town, government buildings, Tram to highest points, etc. Guide was great and we learned a great deal about Ecuador and its people

Brilliant day with Xmena, our guide. Started at the magnificent Basillica & climbed the tower by 9.30am 😁 What a building!! Beautiful views. Next stop the gondola to the top overlooking Quito - 4,000m up 😊 Slowly, slowly up to the viewpoint & the swing. Great experience 😁 To the old town & a delicious lunch at la Capilla (cerviche is a must!!), informative wander round the old town & up to the Virgin Mary statue. Great views 😊 Xmena was great, informed & knowledgeable & good company. We met a guide & left a friend 😁 A brilliant day.

We were unable to take cable car due to malfunction earlier in the week and instead went to a large local market. Think that was the highlight of our time in Quito.

Ximena was a great guide--very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She knew a lot of details like where to park, where to eat, etc. which made the day much more efficient and enjoyable. I was nervous about going out and about in Quito because all I had heard about street crime and such. I would not have been comfortable doing all of these activities alone or as a couple, but I felt safe with a guide who knew what she was doing--she knew what streets to avoid, etc.

We’d already had a tour of Quito with Celebrity Cruises, but wanted the more personal touch. This is a fantastic tour - great guide who gave us so much information (they have to study 3/4 years to become a tour guide). We were so lucky with the weather, saw some amazing sights and lunch was in a beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend.

The cable car ride and view of Quito was amazing! My partner is afraid of heights, but he felt perfectly comfortable in the safe enclosed gondola-style car. We also loved touring the magnificent Basillica and the view from the Condor tower. Micheal our guide was so knowledgeable about the history of Old Town Quito and the surrounding areas seen from Tereficio. Don't miss this opportunity if you're in Quito.

The trip in Quito was great. Michael was great. Can’t ask for a better guide. Would recommend him any time.

Hugo was an experienced, friendly, knowledgeable, professional guide who was genuinely fun to spend the day with! We learned so many interesting facts about the city and about Ecuador’s history as we walked around. Hugo went at our pace (and even stopped when we had to catch our breath). The middle of our tour took us up to see El Panecillo, the breathtaking statue and guardian Virgin Mary of Quito. At the end of our tour we travelled on the cable car and it was a perfect ending to a beautiful day!

Miriam was warm and genuine, and generous with her time. The Teleferico was initially closed and we waited quite awhile and had to return later that day. She did not seem to mind the delay and was always good natured, informative and a pleasure to be with.

Andres was a fantastic guide, he brought us to many fun view spots in the old town and even a yummy lunch spot for traditional potato soup and empanadas.

Miriam was a fantastic guide on this tour. She shared interesting facts about Quito and was flexible, accommodating and simply fun to spend the day with. The view from the mountain was wonderful, and the route that she planned in the old city included the most beautiful churches. We also enjoyed the visit to the chocolate factory store with chocolate tastings. Highly recommended!
