Well, we're really unsure why this 'cruise' is rated so highly. I don't know where to start. There were 17 of us on the boat, which was comfortable. At capacity of 28 I can't imagine how everyone would fit. We wondered where the '114 year old' timber deck was that they refer to. The deck was a non-slip substance, but never mind. For $69 a head, here's what to expect: We were given our complimentary drink immediately upon boarding. Then, a very long-winded history lesson before we left. Way, way too long. Then off we went, not up or down the river - the tour was of the canals looking at other people's houses all the way, save the very short trip on the river to access said canals. A bit more history of what went before the gentrification of the area. We waited ONE HOUR - yes one hour, for our first glimpse of any food. Probably in the hope of passengers purchasing more drinks, which most did. Eventually we were given one skewer with 2 tiny shrimps. ONE. Yes, not prawns, shrimps. We looked at each other in disbelief. Then, about 30 minutes after that, came one oyster 'mornay' - ONE - cold, with hardened cheese on the top. Truly awful. About 15 minutes later, a chicken taco. With 'bush relish'. One. A taco. Really? Followed closely by a 2 x 1 inch piece of gooey, supposed cheese cake, that tasted like a cheap, defrosted supermaket dessert. That's it. It was not what we expected. So bad we had to laugh. We departed absolutely starving and headed off for some real food, gobsmacked. I was so happy that friends decided to join, as initially I was going solo. I would have been bored out of my brain. The Saltwater cruises are simply amazing. The Saltwater cruises are simply amazing. We’ve been on board 4 times now over the last few years and have gifted many more to friends and family for birthdays etc. The crew are super friendly, approachable and knowledgeable, the vessel has been beautifully restored and the cruise is culturally and environmentally respectful. Being on board is a wonderful experience from start to finish and the locally sourced, fresh & well thought out food is just the icing on the cake. The owner/skipper Simon even does a bit of Jidaki (didgeridoo) playing. Put simply, it ticks all the boxes. Do yourself a favour and jump aboard sooner rather than later for a trip you won’t forget 💜Exceptional!! Got so much more than we were expecting. GREAT food, Simon, Nikki and Jami were so nice and accommodating. Beautiful old boat that is part of Australian maritime history. Highly recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this tour. The food was the best that I have tasted in years. The commentary was very informative and easy to hear. Every one agreed that it was value for money. I am unable to tolerate alcohol so they made me a margarita with lemon myrtle syrup and it was delicious and refreshing.

Topped off with the best weather that the Sunshine Coast could offer, this is a cruise not to be missed. Thank you.

I agree with others comments that having 28 people on the boat would be too many. I think there was 16 on the day of my cruise.
