Carina surprised us with the amazing El Ateneo Grand Splendid Bookstore, which took my breath away. When I entered, my remark was "Oh my goodness!" She provide us a very extensive tour of Buenos Aires, however we chose not to go to Cafe Tortoni due to congestion caused by protesters of the newly elected President; also the wait in line to see Evita's tomb was longer than we wanted, as we are 75 years old.

Carina and her driver provided a full-day tour that took us to all the important Buenos Aires neighborhoods, and told us the complete history behind everything we saw. The tour was customized to our preferences, and we were always completely safe. We highly recommend Carina and this tour if you're English-speaking! We arrived in BA on 2/7/23, and were taken directly to the Viking Jupiter. The cruise ship dock is not convenient at all for getting into the city, and the Buenos Aires top highlights are quite far apart. We only had the next day to see Buenos Aires, so we chose to hire Carina for a private day tour of the city. Carina is just plain fabulous. We were picked up right on time and chauffeured around in a Peugeot with driver, Enrique, who got us quickly to each site, dropped us off and was waiting close by when we were finished. Carina is thorough, flexible, and engaging. In 7 hours we got to see Retiro, Recoleta, Monserrat, San Telmo, La Boca & Caminito, Puerto Modero, and Palermo districts and their highlights, had lunch together at a local place, and got back to the cruise terminal in plenty of time for our departure. If you’ve only got one day in Buenos Aires, and you’re looking for an entertaining, professional tour by a well-organized tour guide, Carina should be your first choice.

Carina Lago is a wonderful person and one of the absolute best tour guides we have ever had. She and her driver guided us all over the city of Buenos Aires, including taking us to a silver designer. We stopped numerous times for photos, bathroom breaks, and to walk around various markets, including San Telmo Market and an antique market. The restaurant was fabulous, with the best beef I have ever had, thanks to Carina's recommendation. Carina picked us up at the cruise port and then dropped us at the airport, 8 hours later. She then helped us into the airport and spoke to the airport personnel in Spanish, asking them for a wheelchair for my wife, who walks with a cane. Thus, we were able to avoid a VERY long line. Thanks again Carina!!

Carina was a delight. Great English and a fabulous understanding of the English culture and her Argentinian. Gave us a brilliant insight into the city she loves. We had a good giggle too and only wish we had had her full day tour!

Carina Lago is an articulate and knowledgable tour guide who gave us an extensive Buenos Aires 7 hour tour. She knew exactly how much time we should spend at each of our 16 chosen destinations. We never felt hurried or harried, rather we felt the day was at our leisure though we were actually fully busy. In addition to providing us with essential details as well as the overall picture of each highlighted area, Carina also commented upon daily life in Buenos Aires, in Argentina and in South America in general. Good-natured and with a witty sense of humor we were never bored and full engaged with our tour guide through-out the day. Carina has our highest recommendation.

Carina did a great job showing us around the city. She made sure we could get into the many places we visited with my mobility scooter. She was very excited to share with us her knowledge of the local culture, history, architecture and people. Would love to do this again on another trip.

This tour was perfect despite the very rainy day. Carina, out guide, was both extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her city, but more importantly, a lot of fun to be with. We got to see a lot, learn a lot, and laugh a lot. We would highly recommend both the tour and Carina.

Getting to know Buenos Aires with Carina was just ideal. We used the bus and the metro to reach all the areas I wanted to visit, stopped for coffee and snacks when necessary and Carina was good fun and full of information. This is the ideal way to explore the city if travelling alone.

Carina was wonderful. Very informative, energetic and funny. A great introduction to the city and wonderful suggestions. It was also great having a driver to drop us off at various places in the city. I highly recommend her for any Buenos Aires tour.

My wife and I were very pleased with our private day long tour. Carina packed a lot into the tour. Since we had not been to BA before, we let her plan the tour and she was well organized in doing so. We saw all the main sites and ended the tour feeling we had a full immersion into the city’s sites, culture and history. We have recently returned from Buenos Aires where we were fortunate to be shown around this beautiful city by Carina. She was absolutely perfect in every way and nothing was too much trouble. We started with a two hour walking tour of the more historical areas of the city where Carina gave us lots of great information about the architecture and history of the city as well as information on local culture. This was followed by a 5 hour tour by car, driven superbly by Enrique, around several various neighbourhoods including Boca, San Telmo, Recoleta, Palermo and the new port area of Puerto Madero. This was a fantastic way to see the city with plenty of stops to get out and explore the various attractions of each neighbourhood. Carina was so knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into all aspects of city life. She was so friendly and nothing was rushed, the pace of things was entirely dictated by ourselves. We took a second day tour with Carina out to the lovely gaucho town of San Antonio de Areco where we visited some local artisans. This was followed by a visit and gaucho show at the Estancia Santa Susana. This was just great and Carina joined in with the activities as enthusiastically as if this was her first visit there. She made sure we got good seats for the show and introduced us to Cirillo, an elderly gaucho, who she clearly knew well, and who ensured we had a fantastic experience. Carina was absolutely great throughout and ensured that nothing was too much trouble. It was like doing a private tour with a friend and everything was so relaxed and enjoyable. She took an interest in us and gave us lots of information not just to help us get the most out of BA but out of our follow on visits to other parts of South America. If you want the BEST introduction to Buenos Aires with a friendly, bubbly, interesting and knowledgeable guide who will go out of her way to give you what you want then you need look no further than Carina Lago. She was great!

This tour is a must especially if you have never been to Buenos Aires. Carina, also the owner of the company met us at our hotel with a van and driver for our party of 4 and after getting to know us and our interests we were off. We all felt a much greater appreciation of the city after visiting the Cathedral Metropolitan where the current Pope served, the oldest Coffee house in the city and Government Capital Buildings. We were then off on a short walking and shopping look at the extremely colorful San Telmo district. She helped in finding a place for a local lunch. We covered all the neighborhoods surrounding the downtown area and she explained the local architecture and customs. The tour ended with a visit to the famous Recoleta Cemetary where the tomb of Evita Peron lies where Carina was a fountain of knowledge. We can not recommend this tour enough, we would have spent 2 to 3 days seeing everything we saw in 7 Hours. Carina was knowledgeable, extremely fluent in English and the van was perfect.

We had a great full day viewing all the major sites as well as some minor ones as well. Carina is a very knowledgeable and very friendly guide speaking good English. Carina with her driver made us feel right at home. My wife loves shopping and Carina was helpful in negotiating a good price for us and also gave us some information about tango which is another of my wife’s favourite hobbies.
