Amazing experience. I had a different group tour booked through a different company, but it was canceled at the last minute. I only had one day available to see the castles and Brașov, so I googled tour operators in Bucharest hoping to find an alternative. Nicolas answered my call, canceled his plans for the day, and agreed to do a private tour. He picked me up from my hotel in under 30 minutes and after talking for a few minutes, he created a personalized itinerary for the day. I got to go everywhere I wanted, plus additional stops Nicolas suggested along the way. He was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and took great pictures for me (very much appreciated because I was traveling alone!) He skipped us through any lines, explained the history of all the sites, and we made great time. For lunch he recommended an excellent restaurant and I was able to try traditional Romanian dishes. I am so glad my original tour was canceled so I could spend the day with Nicolas! I recommend him 100%.

This tour was one of the best I have ever experienced. I was met promptly at the appointed time to begin my private tour by my guide Lonela. She was both very engaging and absolutely knowledgeable about the history as well as the architecture of both castles as well as the cities and towns we either drove though or stopped to visit. Her efficiency in knowing the landscape in addition to the nuances of each site was essential in providing a most memorable experience for me. Anyone having the experience of having Lonela as your guide is sure to provide you the memory of a lifetime as it did for me.

Our guide Dan Mica was excellent. He has encyclopedic knowledge of all things Transylvania and explained the history and the cultural details of the landmarks. He is also a very good and safe driver. He catered the experience to our needs.

Alex was knowledgeable, flexible and a great guide. We spent 10 hours together and learned a lot and had a great time. I would highly recommend!

There are many tours with similar itineraries, but if you want to avoid a giant bus and being ushered and hurried, this is the way to go. Nicu is an incredible, knowledgeable guide. My sister and I spent the day learning about Romanian culture and absorbing the beautiful scenery of Transylvania.

Awesome tour. We visited Peles Castle, had lunch and toured Brasov then went to Bran Castle. Nicolas was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. The local restaurant they suggested in Brasov was fantastic. I would recommend this tour.

This tour was fantastic! Nicolas was extremely helpful when booking our tour. Dan was our tour guide. He picked us up and dropped us off right at our apartment. Dan was accomdating at all moments during travel and the tour. We asked to stop at a flea market on the way, and it was no problem for Dan. One of the best parts of the tour was the amount of history Dan was knowledgeable about. We both learned quite a lot about Romania and the sites we were visiting. Any question we asked, Dan seemed to know! Dan recommended the best coffee shops and restaurants for us to try. We are very impressed with the pace, time, and service provided. We would 100% recommend this tour company!

Nicholas was awesome. Very informative and fun. The castles were beautiful. They took us to a wonderful Romanian restaurant for lunch. A good time was had by all.

Nicu was the perfect guide for a lovely day out. My sister and I took this tour yesterday. Nicu tailored the day according to our wants and needs so that we were both satisfied and happy. He was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful as well as a safe and strategic driver. Pay more and avoid the hordes of bus tours moving like sheep through the sites, driven by time restraints and crowds.

We couldn’t have had a more wonderful guide than Nicu. The entire day was full of learning, laughter and amazing scenery. Many bus tours do the same route and we saw the hordes while we were in the castles and towns. How great to have a personal experience with our own friend!

Nicolas picked us up from our AirBnB in Bucharest for a tour of the two castles, as we didn’t have enough time to see Brasov. He was an excellent tour guide. Despite it being one of the busiest days for tourism at Peles Castle, he got us into the castle quickly and gave an extremely informative tour. Toward Bran Castle, he recommended a lovely restaurant that overlooked the castle and had excellent traditional Romanian food for us to try. Unfortunately, the lineup to enter Bran Castle was too long for us to wait, but he got us into the grounds for free to look around. He then took us on a scenic trip back to Bucharest through the mountains and stopped at several extra historical sites, which we found impressive. We would highly recommend Nicolas as a tour guide and will use him again in the future!

Had a fantastic trip with Octavian … really enjoyed the day and was so nice to see the different landscape and villages/towns outside of Bucharest. Especially enjoyed Peles castle which is worth the trip on its own,Octavian really knows his stuff and was super informative and knowledgeable. Great company and really had a fantastic trip … Highly recommend… definitely worth the day trip .

Nicolas did a fabulous job. The man knows his van! We went from Bucharest to Peles Castle and Bran Castle. Due to time constraints on our part, we opted out of the tour of Brasov City, but instead had a wonderful lunch near Bran Castle. Peles was charming and scenic. The area is so peaceful. Nicolas asked us where we would like to go for lunch, and we asked for something the locals eat that was traditional Romanian. He took us to Vila Bran and the scenery was picturesque and the food exquisite. Nicolas is full of historical and cultural knowledge, and was very eager and willing to answer our questions. We were not into the Dracula scene, and was able to cater the tour to whether we wanted the fairy tale or historical version of events. During the tour, I could see others nearby staying close to hear his version of the tour as it was more interesting than those nearby. We got into a bit of a traffic jam as you can see in the photos that consisted of hundreds of sheep. It was quite a memorable experience. I will definitely look up Nicolas again if my travels take me back to Romania.
