What a brilliant experience. Dan our guide was informative, friendly, entertaining and really brought the whole experience to life. We were mesmerised by his storytelling and were in awe at his knowledge. His car was comfortable, he had great music and singing (this was great) and we loved sharing his favourite pastry store. A fantastic wonderful experience of Bran Castle and the fortress and would highly recommend Dan and this company.

Our tour guide was amazing. Charlie was very professional, very knowledgeable & was extremely attentive. I was so impressed with this tour & the ease in which we went from one destination to another, we never felt rushed. Charlie explained everything clearly & concisely. I would highly recommend this tour &, in particular Charlie.

I cannot speak more highly of this tour. I had it booked with a mystery holiday company and ended up being the only one on my tour. My guide Dan was so knowledgeable and friendly, he also treated me to some opera on the journey. Unfortunately pele's castle was closed so we could only see the grounds (which are still incredible), as I was booked on the castle expenses paid trip Dan made up for this by taking me to Cantacuzino Castle (the castle used for the school in Wednesday), which more than made up for the lost time at Pele's. All locations were ace and I don't think I could have had a better guide.

Our tour was made by our excellent guide Charlie. He was so knowledgeable about all of the castles we visited, and the areas we passed through on the way, but kept everything light-hearted and entertaining. Peles Castle was a personal highlight, it is just beautiful and the attention to detail is incredible. Charlie knew so much about the history and life of the castle that we learnt a huge amount without really trying to! Bran Castle is obviously a must-see, but was surprising as well for lots of good reasons. Charlie recommended a place to get lunch from whilst we were there and we couldn't fault that either.

Dan was amazing! He was prompt, outgoing, and knowledgeable of the history. We loved hearing the history of România and the places we visited. He was accommodating. 10/10 would recommend to everyone that, but especially his guidance for everyone traveling to Romania.

The tour was really good value for money. Dan was a very careful driver and knew how to avoid getting stuck in traffic. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave us all sorts of information about architecture, art, history, local tradition, folk legends. I had a fantastic time!

This was a wonderful and very informative experience. The small van was comfortable and our driver/tour guide, Tiberiu, was exceptional in his vast knowledge of history and not just Brasov but the larger historical perspective of the region. His love of history, city and Country is evident adding to the richness and diversity of his sharing. He was one of the best guides I have had the pleasure of learning from over these last 2 years of travel. If you haven't already done your research please note that Bran Castle is interesting - if you are looking for Dracula this might disappoint simply because the history here is not about the myth but the region and its historical defense of the area. Peles Castle is absolutely breathtaking. I recommend booking and enjoy a fabulous day. However, if you utilize the pick-up and drop-off service I strongly recommend that you CONFIRM in advance that you will be dropped-off at the SAME location that you were picked-up at. There was confusion regarding this for me and Active Travel Brasov, the tour company, sorted it all out. To avoid the end of a wonderful day being a bit of a let-down I recommend that you confirm this detail. Enjoy.

The castles we visited are interesting, but the best about this experience was Tiberiu's (our guide) explanations. He made this tour a journey through history and I discovered so much more than what I had expected. Definetely recommend him and the agency.

Great excursion and made so much better with our Tour Guide, Charley! From a message 24 hrs prior to trip to confirm meeting point and time, to actual pick up, drive to Castle and more, was just exceptional. Charley was a great story teller and his knowledge of the area and history was second to none. Charley was super friendly, funny and knew so much - he really made the tour extra special and it will be one we will never forget. Thank you Charley. We would highly recommend this tour to all.

We booked our tour through Viatour as we had used them before for a previous vacation. The service provided was excellent. I was messaged 24 hours prior to confirm place of pick up. On the morning, we were greeted by out tour guide Charley. A super friendly guy that made us feel at ease straight away. The drive to the Castle, Charley was full of amazing information of the area and what our day would look like. He answered all our questions and more. Once at the Castle, he was on top form! Again, his knowledge was mind blowing and a great story teller. What made the excursion better, was Charley's personality - really good fun as well as his knowledge of history and area. We would highly recommend this tour and fingers crossed that you get Charley!

We had two days of tours from Charlie (Károly B). The first day was a castle tour to Sinaia, Bran and Râșnov, to visit Peleș Castle, Castle Bran and Râșnov fortress. The second day was a trip by car through the Transylvanian countryside, through its fortified towns, taking in their colourful squares and medieval churches. Amongst them, Rupea fortress, Viskri village including Charles' house and the white church, Sighișoara's hilltop church and the walled old town including the birthplace of Vlad Țepeș Dracula, where he lived until he was 4 years old. Our guide, Charlie, was polite, courteous, punctual, very knowledgeable and had a fantastic sense of humour! And mulţumesc for the cozonac secuiesc!

We found the Castles tour through Romanian friend and could not be any happier! Karoly was an exquisite guide who was so knowledgeable and made the whole experience 100x better! Karoly knew the castles so well and could easily predict how busy they would be, so planned the day perfectly to make sure we could beat the crowds at all sites! He also takes amazing photos as a bonus! Karoly also was very willing to go off route slightly to show us a few extra highlights, we could not recommend enough!

We had Balazs as a guide - he was excellent! It was an informative day, but he kept it light and made it a fun experience. 10/10 would book again if I came back to Brasov. Thanks for a great day.

My partner and I really enjoyed this guided tour, Charlie was excellent, he really knew his history about Romania and the castles. The castles were beautiful in the snow! We would highly recommend this tour!!

We had an amazing time with Charlie. His expertise hand friendliness made the trip really pleasant! We had the impression that he was showing us the places not only because they are touristic, but because they have a significant relevance for Romanian history. Charlie was also able to bring us through Peles, Bran and Rasnov, avoiding tourists peak times and making the experience more intimate and enjoyable! We also enjoyed how funny he is :)

Our guide, Charlie was excellent. Very friendly and good natured. Our group that day was very small, and the 8.30 start got us to the sites before the main crowds, definitely recommended.

Our guide Dan, was the best guide I ever had. Lots of information about the castles, the area and the history of Transilvania, he made it a very interesting day. He added some stops for photos and food, which was very much appreciated. I initially had booked the tour without Peles castle, but was given the option to add it and decided to do it. It was the right choice, the castle is beautiful. All in all a very nice day and I recommend it to anyone staying in Brasov. Worth it

The Bran Castle providing a fascinating look at the real history of Transylvania as well as the mythology of Count Dracula related to the castle. The Rasnov Fortress was also interesting, and the drive from Brasov was very scenic. The guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable and gave us a comprehensive understanding of the history of Romania and much about today's Romania. Highly recommended. Peles Castle was closed the day of our visit, so we did not see it.

We did all the 3 attractions with Kartsi in a small group in a mini van. Van was comfortable, Kartsi gave us a great tour and took is to nice picture spots. Very well recommended!
