Absolutely breathtaking scenery, great local lunch, plenty of bathroom breaks. Adam, our guide picked us up on time and dropped us back at our hotel. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour an absolute delight. He could spot a Koala or Kangaroo a mile away and he went out of his way to make sure we got to see them too. It was a fantastic day.

The tour itself was worth seeing, but the guide deserves special mention, as he always tried to create a pleasant atmosphere, answer any questions that arose and proactively provide the participants with all kinds of information. The tour's equipment also differed from that of other providers. The apparently quite new Mercedes bus was clean and comfortable. Great importance was also attached to good service. Extra stops were made to spontaneously show something off the actual tour, and you were dropped off directly in front of your own hotel on the return journey.

It was a great experience, would like to recommend to take the service once you could see the difference clearly, The best part is Spectacular view all around make you more relaxed which makes you more pleasant.

Amazing experience, and our tour guide made it a one to remember! Our guide gave us the best tips&spots to both capture the views in our minds as well as in ”postcard” pictures. Overall the great ocean road is worth seeing. Definitely would recommend!

The Great Ocean Road tour we booked via Viator with Escape Discovery Adventures, (a small group all inclusive tour in a comfortable Mercedes van), was fantastic! Andy our guide and driver was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and patient! It was a long day but really worth it! We saw kangaroos in the wild and a couple of koalas. Visited Anglesea, Apollo Bay, the Apostles, and a cold temperate forest in Otway for a walk on the trails. The fish and chip lunch which was included in Apollo Bay was delicious!

What a great day tour! Andy was very knowledgeable about Melbourne, he explained so well about history, how this happened, what the famous areas in the CBD as well. Often tour guide doesn't have much understanding in the country or the city but he did such a great job. Loved every place that we visited, rainforest, beaches, and of course 12 apostles (not 12 anymore, only 8). Fish and chips along the water, great coffee on the way. It was an amazing day trip

Andy, was an excellent tour guide. He was a fountain of information and interesting tidbits whether it was a query about a structure, monument, local history, plant, tree, animal, and etc. We appreciate small group tours but, this felt like a private tour! It was a long 13 hour day so the small things mattered: bottled water, tea, and lunch included (and a guide who knew where all the good toilet facilities were located!). The Trip Advisor/Viator description says that you will be dropped of at your CBD hotel. This was news to our guide. Andy graciously dropped us all off, a potential mutiny avoided. Suggest you contact the tour operator and verify that a CBD hotel drop off is part of the excursion.

The whole trip was a truly memorable experience. Andy our tour driver was extremely knowledgeable about the Great Ocean Road, it's history and geography. The numerous stop-off, look-out points and photographic opportunities were exactly right for the experience. We saw Koala feeding I n the wild, were able to stand in the great Southern Ocean, experience the temperate rainforest amongst other remarkable places. I would highly recommend Andy as a tour driver and leader and would like to thank him. This trip hugely exceeded our expectations!

A truly wonderful experience. Our guide Ben was a great host. He lead us through our journey with great care and enthusiasm. Having a small group at the very crowded stops along the way was a big plus. The views were spectacular. Ben took us to some uncrowned places along the way which made the trip extra special.

Our tour guide Andy was superb. He told us interesting facts along the way, took care of our food and water and comfort needs and so enjoyed the tour

I’ve taken the same tour 7 years ago and I’m glad to see that this tour is still up and running and better as ever. Adam, our tour guide, was excellent. We enjoyed the information he shared along with his quick wit and humour. Very personable person and was always checking on the customers (do we need a bathroom break, is the A/C temp ok, etc…). Just overall nice guy. I actually forgot my jacket on the van which he brought back to the hotel. Can’t say enough good things about Adam. Adam usually does the private tours so we felt lucky that we had him that day as our guide.

My wife and I had a wonderful day trip along the Ocean Road. Adam, our guide and driver, was exceptional - very knowledgeable, always ready with an answer to every question. He made sure that we were able to see koalas and kangaroos. The rain forest walk was one of the high points of the day. The day was filled with highlights too numerous to mention. 5 stars!

I cannot recommend this Company highly enough. On arrival in Melbourne from Scotland we received an email from our booking agent telling us that our trip the following day had been cancelled due to tour driver illness. However I contacted Paul, the owner of Escape Discovery Adventures, on the phone and given our obvious disappointment over missing a trip we had booked months in advance, he told us that he would personally take us on the full tour the following day in his own personal Mercedes SUV. The next day we were royally treated by Paul for the 11 hours of the tour and had a fantastic time. Paul is in incredibly friendly and knowledgeable guy who provide a terrific historical commentary on all the places we visited. He went out of his way to find us multiple close up sightings of Koalas, kangaroos and a multitude of other wildlife, took us rain forest and several beach walks, giving us some beautiful photographic opportunities. He took us to wonderful sightseeing locations and viewpoints, many of which could not be accessed by the multiple tours buses on the route. We enjoyed a lovely local coffee and cake stop, a delightful seafood lunch at a small secluded harbour restaurant and multiple refreshment stops throughout the day. The level of service from Paul was first class. Typical of the customer focussed service we found across Australia as a whole. It would have been easy for him to have just cancelled the tour. These things happen. But we will always remember his kindness, sense of humour, endless historical and local stories and for providing us with fantastic memories of a wonderful trip along the Great Ocean Road. Really disappointed as the trip was cancelled due to lack of people booked on. Alternatives were provided but none were suitable and we had spent time hand picking this trip from reviews etc. communication was good but was left disappointed one of the main reasons for our trip to Melbourne and taken rather than going to Philip Island on a different tour as we thought we would see more of the area. We understand the reason for cancellation but does it does not a top us from being disappointed, hence the 1 star
