A wonderful day in the sunshine and vineyards and tasting Bordeaux wines. Our guide Mel was great! Lunch was lovely and we LOVED Saint Emilion, only wished we’d had more time. We’ll have to come back!

An amazing experience, the highlight of our trip to Bordeaux. Tour group was small and in a well air conditioned mini van. Lunch was a stand out consisting of local French produce and allowing you to get to know others on your trip. Our tour guide John - a trained sommelier - was friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, funny and made us feel so comfortable. Visited three superb winery's, getting the opportunity to try a minimum of 3 wines at each in different stunning locations. Would highly recommend if you're visiting Bordeaux.

An insightful day, learned a lot about the Bordeaux wine region! Our guide Annabel was lovely and extremely knowledgeable about the region and about the wines in general. We also had the pleasure of meeting a new guide by the name of Alexande who is a passionate wine enthusiast. A very memorable day!! Highly recommend!

My husband and I went on a full day wine tour where we visited wineries in Graves and St. Emilion, with a visit to the town of St. Emilion as well. Our guide for the day was Annabelle, and she was excellent! She was so friendly and made everyone feel welcome and involved throughout the tour. She is also extremely knowledgeable about wine, and taught us so much throughout the day. This tour was one of our favorite days on our trip to France. We would highly recommend this tour, especially with our amazing guide Annabelle!

Last week when in Bordeaux, we took this full day trip to St Emilion & some wineries. We were very lucky to have had the pleasure of Maud as our guide and driver for the day. As there were only 4 of us (2 couples) the trip turned out to be more of a private tour. The 3 wineries in our itinerary were quite different from each other which made our day more interesting. Maud’s engaging personality & her excellent knowledge of the region we were travelling made our day more pleasurable. I can highly recommend this tour, in particular, Maud as guide. Our car was also very comfy & roomy and the picnic lunch provided was exceptional- locally made & organic.

We have just had one amazing tour of wine districts around Bordeaux. First stop was Chateau Carbonnieux ( Grand Cru Classe de Graves). We got to see the production and storage / maturation facilities. This was followed by a tasting of their current white and red vintages. Second stop was Chateau Palais Cardinal (Saint Emilion Grand Cru). As well as getting to taste some excellent wines we had a picnic lunch there. This was followed by a walk through the historic village of Saint Emilion. It was very scenic. Please be aware that there are cobble stones and some short steep sections so wear appropriate foot wear. Along the way we visited a wine shop and a charcuterie. Both provided tastings of their products. We also visited a historic church and saw some very old frescoes. There was nothing too difficult in the walk and it was well worth the effort. The final stop was just outside the village at Chateau Le Chatelet (Grand Cru Classe). Absolutely superb wines accompanied by an informative talk from Virginie. Please note that all tasting was done responsibly in small serves. If you’re looking to get smashed, this is not the tour for you. If you want to see some wonderful country, taste some superb wines, and develop your understanding of the Appellation system you will not be disappointed. Our guide / driver, Maud, was wonderful. I noticed that the staff at the wineries and wine shop all treated her with genuine respect and affection. No doubt because they realise she is very knowledgeable on the subject of the wines, the production processes, culture and history. She certainly contributed to my learning experience on the day. She demonstrated a concern for safety of tour participants, describing the walk through the village so we could all be prepared to complete it safely. There was also an incident near the end of the tour where a bus veered into our lane. Her quick response avoided a collision. Great driving, Maud!

The whole experience was amazing, our guide Maud was friendly and accommodating - she never put pressure on us to hurry up, even when we overran (not her fault either!) I would definitely recommend if you're visiting the city for a few days.

We had the best day on our tour with Jon! He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. Each winery had something unique to see and taste, and all the wines were fabulous. The town of St Emillion was beautiful, and our picnic lunch was AMAZING! Fresh meat and cheese, soup, salad, quiche. Everything was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. This is the #1 tour if you are in Bordeaux!

We were in Bordeaux on a hen do weekend. Jon and Lena organised an amazing private day trip for me and the group of 10 girls! It was a brilliant day out, informative and good fun! They had plenty of great recommendations for around the city and were more than happy to help us with anything during our stay!! 10/10 from us! Thanks for a great day! Would 100% book again when we return!

This was an ideal way to spend a day getting to know a few areas of the Bordeaux region with a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Clement, a Bordeaux native, was friendly and obviously loves what he does, and he took every opportunity as we drove--from Bordeaux city to Pessac-Leognan then to Saint-Émilion to visit a total of three châteaux--to learn more about those in our group and tailor his comments toward our already existing wine knowledge. We also got to spend time walking around the tiny medieval village of Saint-Émilion and had a lovely surprise tasting there, as well. Lunch was delightful and filling, and I had plenty as a vegetarian (which I'd alerted them to ahead of time). We left with a lot more information than we already knew about wine in general and Bordeaux specifically, and Clement also offered wonderful recommendations for the rest of our stay in the city; if you're there on a Sunday morning, don't miss having oysters and white wine at Marché des Capucins--Clement says you're considered 50% French if you do that! I highly recommend this tour and would look for the opportunity to take any others offered by these guides if I'm ever fortunate enough to be back in the area.

Clem was a very good host. We learned history and technical details and it was never boring. The weather didn't cooperate, but it was still great. We're already planning another Bordeaux trip.

We had a great day with Clement on what wound up being a tour for just two of us, given our schedule and others not booking that day. No problem! Clem helped guide us along to the three chateaus and a lovely walking tour in St. Emilion. He also had a great approach of not getting involved in wine sale time - which is great and makes it not feel like you’re being worked by the tour company. All in all, we had a delightful day and would love to do it again!

Highly recommend!! Our guide was informative and engaging. We visited multiple wineries and sampled a few different wines at each. A delicious lunch was provided in our tour, as well as a tour of the town of Saint Emilion. One of the best experiences we had while in France.

We had a fantastic all day private tour, led by our guide Nate. We are a group of 5 and were picked up directly from our apartment in downtown Bordeaux. We were driven in an air conditioned van to our first winery and had a full tour of the vineyard and wine making process before beginning our tasting. After the tasting, we chose the picnic option and enjoyed a picnic with great views of the vineyard. We then headed into the town of St. Emilion for a quick tour by Nate before heading to our next stop. At our second stop, we chose the blending option and after a tour of the facilities, got to blend our own Bordeaux varieties with the different grapes that go into the standard Bordeaux mix (Merlot, Cab Sav, and Cab Franc). We all made different blends and got to taste all each of them before heading into the formal tasting. We then went to the final tasting at a very family style winery before heading back to our apartment. Nate also provided us with some recommendations for restaurants and bars in Bordeaux. Overall, the day was great. The booking process was simple and collaborative, and it was very easy to add on the blending and picnic options after our initial booking by reaching out to the Bordeaux Wine Tours team. The guides at the wineries themselves were also fantastic -- very knowledgeable and fun to talk with during our tours. Thank you Bordeaux Wine Tours -- this was our favorite day of our trip!

Excellent, fun, and knowledgeable tour guide. Great wines and behind the scenes tour at first chateau in Graves. Informative wine tasting and delicious lunch at second chateau. Nice walking tour of St Emilion and relaxing stop to enjoy sparkling wine. Sadly, third wine tasting was extremely disappointing and a bad way to end the day. Wine tasting guide was unprepared, barely introduced the wine to be tasted, and was not interested in providing a good experience. Even tasting table was dirty.

What a wonderful day! The tour started with an explanation of the Bordeaux region and where we will be going. Our tour guide Marie was fantastic - knowledgeable and fun! We went to Graves where we had a tour of the wine making process and tasted some white and red wines. We then went to Saint Emilion to another chateaux and tasted some more wine! The picnic with the group outside was lovely. The food was fresh and tasty and more wine was included! From there we had a wonder around the village and sparkling wine (also included! ) sat outside in a park. Our final stop was another chateau where we tasted more red wine before heading back.
