We did this activity on our first day in Reykjavik. We had a private tour with Travelling Iceland. We were picked up from the airport by Helga & was transported right away to Blue Lagoon. We were checked in at BL efficiently as soon as it opened at 9 am. We had an amazing time at BL till noon time & we were picked up after our lunch by Addy, our tour guide & transport for the City tour. In the afternoon, We went right away to Reykjavik City. First, went to PERLAN Museum and had a 360 degree view of the City of Reykjavik from the platform. We had enough time to check out the exhibits without feeling rushed. We drove around city and we were able to go to all the “must see places” in Reykjavik. We also had ample time to take pictures in all the lovely city sites & landmarks. This is a customized and comprehensive tour and very organized as well. We ended the tour by having a dinner in a traditional Icelandic restaurant per our request & guide’s recommendation. The whole day activity was comprehensive & we were happy that we’re able to attain our Iceland travel goals without wasting any time. I highly recommend this activity & the company Travelling Iceland for the Blue Lagoon & Reykjavik City Tour. We also love the water tumblers, chocolates & post cards the company Travelling Iceland gave us as a welcome gift! ❤️

Helga is such a warm and open person that really cares about your experience! She will show you some corners of Reykjavik that are out of walking distance which was great. But more importantly it feels you are going there with a good friend who tells you stories and provides you with guidance. When going to the Blue Lagoon, this is the way you want to go! Absolutely worth it.

We did both the Blue Lagoon tour and the Volcano one. Both were excellent but doing the volcano hike with Helga was really great. She is a geologist and it's not every day you get to go see an active volcano with a geologist!

During my trip to Iceland I was uncertain if I would visit the blue lagoon but the Icelandic people I encountered convinced me it was worth it. Even with this last minute change, my guide Helga was able to find a way to make it work and get me on the tour. This act of kindness and creatively working with you are characteristic of both Helga and her tours. I ended up taking another tour with her to explore the Reykjanes volcano and again she surpassed my expectations both as person and in the variety and depth of knowledge she has in all things Icelandic geology. Without question you should book a tour with Helga, she will ensure that your experience in Iceland exceeds expectation and that you will make a friend in Iceland who will be eager to see you again upon your return.

Best tour ever! Helga (the tour guide) is AMAZING. She educated us on a lot of Icelandic history while touring us around Reykjavik. The Blue Lagoon is a must see.

Thank you Helga for such a fun experience! We had our Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik tour in March of 2019 and we still think about how amazing the experience was. Helga was very knowledgeable and drove us around telling us about the city. She also brought us to the Blue Lagoon and dropped us back off. It was easy, convenient and affordable. We would do every tour with her if we could! We can’t wait until we can come back to Iceland !!!

We booked this tour based on previous Trip Advisor reviews. We weren't disappointed. I visited Iceland with my teenage daughter for just 3 nights. This was one of the highlights of the trip. Helga was a great tour guide who was very informative and made the tour very interesting. It was a good mixture of sights and history and relaxation in the lagoon. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Great way to relax, and let the warm water take those aches and pains away, while having a beer and a chat 😁

The premium package is worth every dime and is very affordable. It comes with a fluffy robe, sleepers, face mask and a drink. I truly enjoyed this purchase. Helga our tour guide knows all about her country, very kind and patient, I can’t wait to come back in the summer to take those hiking experiences with my family; beautiful country indeed! Helga you’re the best, thank you.

The tour was well organized by our host Helga. She was extremely informative and always willing. The blue lagoon has to be visited to get a real feel experience and this tour fulfills that. Definitely recommended.

We only had a couple of days to spend in Iceland and were so thankful to have our guide, Groa, show us around Reykjavík. It was then such a relief to arrive at the Blue Lagoon and be led to the front of the line. Our family recommends this tour 100%!

You absolutely cannot miss this experience. May be possibly the highlight of my trip to Iceland. You can swim up to the facial bars, get a facial mask, swim around to the drink bars for you choice of drinks, then wash you face in this warm, mineral rich water. Your body will feel amazing after this experience. Absolutely loved it!!

It seems that the majority of tourists visit the Blue Lagoon while on their way to, or from, the airport. This is because the lagoon is very close to the airport, while being a 40 min drive from the hotels in Reykjavik. However, this is not an ideal way to visit the world-famous BL. It deserves to be more than a stop between airport and hotel. It is a magical place of milky-blue geothermal waters with other-worldly rising steam, surrounded by a spectacular Icelandic landscape. (There is even a swim-up bar—one free drink!) I have traveled to many countries and experienced many adventures, but when I stepped at dusk into the hot, rejuvenating waters of the ethereal BL and bobbed around in delight, I said to myself “I can’t believe this!" So, to experience the BL right after, or before, a long and stressful plane flight is not to do the place justice. The BL has to be savored—peacefully and reflectively—in a time slot of its own. Thus, Travelling Iceland’s roundtrip tour to the BL from Reykjavik is perfect. For us, the tour was also great for another reason: while we had taken 1-2 day tours from our Reykjavik hotel to a number of wonderful destinations around Iceland, we had little knowledge of Reykjavik itself, and no idea how to explore it! Hence the fact that the BL tour is combined with a tour introducing the highlights of this capital city was invaluable. There were stops at: Hallgrimskirkja (Iceland’s biggest church with amazing modern architecture and 360 degree views of ocean/mountains); the famous Sun Voyager dream boat sculpture (my fav) on the sea front; the Harpa Concert Hall in the old harbor with its amazing glass front; Perlan on the hilltop; and importantly, the modest building on the waterfront, Hofdi House, where Reagan and Gorbachev met in 1986 at the Reykjavik Summit and initiated the first step towards ending the Cold War. All these stops were relatively short ones, but once oriented to the city, you can always go back on your own another time for more exploration. Also interesting were the government buildings, and the drive to BL along the coast with the small towns and endless lava fields. [Do note that this tour’s price includes the cost of the BL admission ticket + RT transportation from Reykjavik to BL.] Our guide Helga was a delight. Ours was a small group (no mass tourism here), and we were able to have lots of fun and great discussions. It felt as if we were traveling with a good friend. Interesting stories were told and shared. Questions were asked and answered. Helga is accommodating and patient, and so sweet. (She even drove back to Reykjavik the next day to return an item to us that had been inadvertently left in her car.) She is also very knowledgeable—who wouldn't jump at the chance to tour the wonders of Iceland with a Ph.D. geologist?!!! A lovely person to take a tour with. We had a fantastic time.
