First morning no hot buffet breakfast but cold buffet and cereals available. The waitress informed us about this but said we could order from the a la carte breakfast menu which we did- my friend had the 2 duck egg omelette with ham. I asked for a smaller one duck egg omelette with cheese and tomato which was equally delicious. On our second morning full hot buffet available which was superb. Service was excellent. Disliked · There was nothing I could really fault. Front desk staff were excellent. Spacious room. The hotel opened last year and you have to walk over the Peace Bridge to get to the main walled city but that wasn't an issue. I was allowed to use the Spa area but didn't have time to book a treatment. Maybe one issue we were in room 128 and it was a bit of a pain to get there going through several doors where you either needed your key card or had to press a button to progress,

Our guide Gleann was warm and personable. He is very knowledgeable about the history of his city, and as a native of Derry city he can provide an intimate insight into the real experiences of the local community during the conflict in the North of Ireland. We would highly recommend this tour, it is an important part of irish history in Derry.

Gleann was a wonderful guide - certainly knew his stuff but more than that was personable & happy to chat about life in general & growing up in Derry in particular. He was also very helpful with restaurant suggestions & options for our ongoing travels. Would thoroughly recommend this business Jim

Our guide, Glean, was eminently knowledgeable, clear, engaging, and blessed with a quick and warm Irish wit. The impact of his explanations of the events surrounding Bloody Sunday, when he lost his dad in the murderous shooting, cannot be overstated. Powerful stuff we'll not soon forget.

We chose this tour but asked Gleann to include some of the Derry Girls Tour as well since we had seen the series. He was very accommodating and flexible. We are now watching the series again in a whole new light. Our tour was super informational coming from a man whose family grew up living through the troubles. Gleann was timely and funny and kind! We highly recommend using him.

The tour was really informative and Gleann was a great story teller. His personal insights made the walk especially educational and moving. He was also a great resource for services in the city. We went to a restaurant he recommended that we would not have found and had an outstanding meal. Thanks for opportunity to learn so much about Derry.

Gleann was an excellent tour guide, and I ended up with a lot more insight into the Troubles in Derry and the first-hand impact it had on so many of the local residents.

The tour began outside the Guildhall with some context about the history of Derry. We then walked the short distance to the Bogside, where Michael our guide showed us the murals and memorials commemorating the events of Bloody Sunday specifically and the Troubles in general. Michael spoke passionately and knowledgably about these events and also about the development of the peace process. Highly recommended for anybody with an interest in recent Irish and British history.

Gleann was a fantastic tour guide! Detailed, engaging, knowledgable, he made the experience incredible relatable and fun. He shared his personal connection to the events, which made the tour all the more meaningful. It's an incredible gift that he's sharing his story and the story of others who died and survived Bloody Sunday. I cannot recommend this tour enough, it's a must take. And Gleann is fun too, great sense of humor.

Gleann was an amazing tour guide. I have to admit I didn't know much about 'Bloody Sunday' and the surrounding events. We were taken on a tour of the Derry Bogside murals. Gleann had a personal connection to the event and appreciate him sharing! This is a can't miss tour if you plan on visiting Derry.

Highly recommended!

A very moving an informative tour of the Bogside and Murals. Gleann was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable of the area and events that took place in the Bogside and particularly on Bloody Sunday. The tour and stories of the murals were very interesting and have a great insight into life on the outskirts of Derry. We were able to understand how Catholics would have been treated in the area. Although it’s a very powerful and moving tour, Gleann provided moments of humour that demonstrated life had to keep going through The Troubles. Really enjoyable tour!

Really enjoyed our tour with Gleann. Learnt so much about the Civil Rights movement and history of the Bogside and surrounding areas. This tour would be of interest to anyone spending time in the area who would like an insight into Derry’s recent history. Gleann is an engaging guide with a vast knowledge of his home town.

Despite bad rainy weather the guide's talk was very informative and moving, as the son who lost his father. He spoke of a Subject that is intense emotionally but put it in the right perspective. We ask him why the British chose to shoot unarmed protestors and his answer was that the British thought this was necessary to stop a peaceful movement that kept growing. They would rather handle a violent one instead that is not widely supported. A cynical view but unfortunately probably an accurate one.
