Sam was an excellent tour guide with an incredibly in depth knowledge of all aspects of Bilbao. I found it to be highly educational and would highly recommend this tour for any traveller.

The night tour was very nice! Our guide was welcoming, relaxed and talked about Bilbao and the Basque region with proud and especially a lot of knowledge. We enjoyed this local insight into what the city and region have to offer.

This was an excellent tour! Sam was very friendly and knowledgeable. There were 4 other people on the tour as well and he was very patient with everyone and answered all our questions. He showed us places that I would not have knows about or seen otherwise and gave great recommendations for things to do the next day, as this was my first night in Bilbao. I highly recommend this tour & it was nice to have a night option.

On the evening of my particular walk, I was the only participant. And Sam still led the tour. That was so amazing to me! The meeting place was just a short distance from my hotel. The evening tour was perfect for me because the streets and sidewalks were not busy. Sam’s pacing was perfectly casual. His knowledge of each place we saw and of the history of the region made for a very engaging tour. He also made recommendations to return to different areas to do some more exploration on one’s own, but with more understanding of what one is seeing. Sam is a personal guide and attended to each question I had and helped clarify some misunderstandings I had of the region’s history. I enjoyed this tour very much.

This was an excellent tour. I was the only person on the tour and Sam did a wonderful job of catering to the types of things I was interested in seeing and his English was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable about the region and culture, especially the history. I highly recommend this tour when you first get to the city as there are many places I likely wouldn't have seen that we visited that I plan to return to during the day.

We had seen many of the places Sam took us to, but his knowledge and experience made them come alive. His English was very good, so communication was easy and fun.

Our guide was very informative in the history of Bilbao as we walked round. He showed us where the best bars were to go to. However we didn’t stop in any of them and as the tour was 2hrs long my only comment would be to stop occasionally. We did eventually ask if we could stop and gat a drink and we offered him one as well. We did think we perhaps should have done this earlier in the trip as I’m sure he would have do so. So maybe a tip for future travellers.

Sam was great. We covered a lot of ground. He showed me interesting sites, shared lots of cultural and historical information, and gave me great recommendations for restaurants, pintxo bars, and clubs to visit. Sam is born and raised in Bilbao, so he could give a local’s perspective for everything. It was quite nice to learn all these about the Basque Country. The best experience for me was to wander through the old town, especially the very busy Pintxos bar area where lots of people were out and about late Saturday night. What an experience!

He took us to all the main places of Bilbao as well as a couple lesser known ones. It was a very personal and relaxed tour, he explained the history of the areas that we visited very well and I must say I learnt a lot from his tour. I would very much recommend if you´re wanting a relaxed tour to see the best places of bilbao, with a personal touch from a local.

I returned to many the next day and took his advice on another recommendation to do.
