It was worth the money. nos pareció excelente conocer la vida real de Cartagena, su comida y su gente muy amables. It is physical but not too demanding. You had some hills snd the sun was hot. But he took you to the places tourists usually don’t see.

Let me be honest and write that I was unable to complete the bike portion of the tour because the heat got to me. Cartagena is HOT, but to be fair, I got too much sun the day before. However…this is still a wonderful tour! Giovanni was an excellent guide full of humor and knowledge about the city. Loves to take pics for you and does a great job! Angelica, the business owner, is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She organized taxis to and from the market for her and myself. We had great conversation even though my Spanish isn’t that good. Just a wonderful person. The market itself is how other reviews described. It’s not for the faint of heart, however, it’s still awesome. Cecilia took great care of us and be prepared for a mountain of food! Two kinds of rice, beef, shark, crab, spiny lobster, capybara, offal… and if you see something that interests you they will just add it to your plate. Enjoy!

My boyfriend did this bike tour solo - and raved about it the rest of the trip. No one else had signed up for that day so he had a 1:1 with the tour guide. He really got a unique experience going into the Bazuto Market (where the locals shop) and eating at Cecilia's - just like Anthony Bourdain did on his Colombia episode of No Reservations. He loved the food - he ate baby shark and turtle among other things - really unique and freshly made cuisine. He also saw the bay, and some other areas outside the Old City. We did a lot of the more traditional tours (walking tour, street food tour, etc) but this one really stood out to him as a special experience.

Jovani is friendly and knowledgeable. It was really fun to see different parts of the Cartagena culture. I would highly recommend this experience.

We very much enjoyed our lovely biking adventure to Cecelia’s and back. Gio was a fabulous tour guide: interesting, entertaining, and informative. The day was extremely hot and humid, so we were all soaked through most of the time (I’m glad I wore a swimsuit top!), but the sights and ride were fun, the food was delicious and generous. The ride was not too difficult or too long for us, as a middle age couple, but the streets were crowded with people and cars, and of course the roads are not the best. I would say this experience is for adults more on the active/athletic side of the coin.

What a great tour! This was my second time in a year visiting Cartegena and I saw so many things this time that I didn’t see last year. Our very knowledgeable guide was great & took lots of photos of us along the way.

Great outing! Gio is both informed and enthusiastic. My wife was hesitant about riding a bike in Cartagena, but it worked out great! Even though the traffic is chaotic, it moves slow, people are courteous and used to watching out for motos and pedestrians. The market is crowded, warm and aromatic- similar to a south East Asian market. The meal was great and everyone was hospitable. Two thumbs up! Gracias Gio!

Thoroughly enjoyed biking through Cartagena with Gio. He's a wealth of knowledge and an interesting and engaging person. I enjoyed riding through the streets and seeing landmarks. I also enjoyed the lunch at the market.

Giovanni is as knowledgeable about Cartagena as he is passionate, which made for an informative, exciting and, all around, fun excursion! Exploring Cartagena by bike was a pleasant, refreshing way to beat the heat of a Colombian summer and visit areas you never could have made it to on foot in such short order. While you do spend much of the ride navigating the active streets, Giovanni provides you with excellent quality bikes and several extra professional riders to help keep everyone on track and stop traffic, if needed. The food stalls are an adventure in and of itself - one we won’t forget. If you are looking for a way to explore Cartagena that is equal parts active, immersive and insightful, I encourage you to consider spending an afternoon taking this tour!

I really enjoyed this tour- the host Giovanni was knowledgeable and with an infectious passion in his love for the history and culture of Cartagena. For the adventurous traveler, this is a great way to take in the beauty of the lesser known parts of the city and experience something different while getting some exercise. Highly recommended!!

Giovanni makes this tour a unique due to shows Cartagena views and taste of this majestic city. Also, the knowledge of Cartagenians culture from foundations and slavery treaty are superb. Our guide Gio was terrific as we biked to about 5 stops ending with our meal at Cecilia’s. Our group of 10 endured 90 plus degree heat. Thankfully we were provided plenty of water. Also sampled a couple local beers. You’ll have time for pictures at stops with information/explanations from the guide. It’s a bit chaotic biking seemingly with everyone on the streets and no real rules; however, I did feel safe and people are courteous. There was also an escort at the back of the group so nobody gets lost. Enjoy the real deal as you immerse in the local culture and food you won’t find on many other tours.

After reading so many great reviews on TripAdvisor I decided to booked this excursion for us to do on my hubby birthday! We wanted to do something different and experience the real Cartagena outside the Walled City. We were SO HAPPY that we did! Giovanni and his wife were AMAZING! These two people made us feel like we were old friends! First let me say this… I haven’t rode a bike in YEARS lol and I was so nervous and scared but Giovanni and his wife went above and beyond to help me with my nervousness! The tour was amazing and Giovanni and his wife made my hubby birthday bike tour a memorable one for sure! The places we visited were some of the places we were not able to visit on our own if we didn’t booked this bike tour. This tour will opened your eyes and taste buds to Cartagena! Giovanni is very knowledgeable and passionate about Cartagena! He will make your experience unique, unforgettable and memorable! Ps I’m going to buy a bike so I can practice riding on it so we will be booking this bike ride tour again when we are back in Cartagena 🇨🇴!

The best tour we’ve ever done. We’ve been on some fabulous day trips and adventures in multiple countries, and this is the only one we’ve immediately looked into doing again before we leave this beautiful part of the country. Giovanni is a phenomenal guide and the experience of seeing the non-tourist side of Cartagena, and tasting delicious real flavours of the country in a humble and authentic atmosphere, is truly a special treat. Do not miss this if you’re visiting Cartagena, and make sure you do it early in your trip as you will learn a lot from Giovanni about the area and where to spend your time.
