It was a great way to see the city. The River cruise was amazing. The crew was the commentator and knowledgable. I would recommend big bus hop on and off.

Great way to see the city and give yourself a taste of where you’d like to spend more time. I’d take this tour again and again .

Very disappointing. Started well. Went straight to the Thames River Cruise on the Red Bus (9am) which was great. Very funny commentary onboard. We then boarded the Blue Bus to return to Piccadilly. Hours of driving around in circles. Finally the driver announcing a detour but still sitting in traffic or passing the same old attractions with no announcement to tell us when we could get off. There were 3 other couples around us also not impressed. Finally a few of us went and asked the driver who then gave us options with a 30 minute walk to where we wanted to get off. Stop 5 or 6. It was then 4pm, no lunch, we hadn’t even gotten off anywhere else. Not brave enough to get back on another line. Should have walked & used the Underground.

Absolute disaster ! We went from Westminster to Hyde park and the bus stopped due to protests. No plan in place and driver was completely blindsided, didn’t know what to do. Did a 360 turn on a main road to try and realign. I paid £196 for 4 tickets. Three days trying to get a refund.

Do not use this Big Bus Tour. Drivers are next to useless. They don't tell you that you don't have enough time to get to a connecting bus and try to blame the customer for not knowing how long we would be stuck in traffic. We were not able to take the river cruise nor able to take green line to Kings Cross. We had to hail a cab.

Our first experience with Big Bus was with their very knowledgeable and friendly customer service representative Fuad. The tour continued to be wonderful.

The experience started off pretty well when we hopped on at stop 39. The audio and music are slightly annoying but we got a feel for the sites we drove by. We had a wonderful one way boat tour on the river - our guide was delightful and warm and welcoming. Drinks, snacks and toilets are available on board. However our experience became quite negative when we hopped back on the bus and our bus stopped for a lengthy time with no explanation. Turns out the drivers shift ended and we had to wait for another bus. We were not told this but had to find out on our own. Fine. Until we hopped onto the relief bus and it too stopped after two stops. We once again had no explanation and sat for 20-30 minutes. This drivers shift ended also - and this was the bus they diverted us to after our first interruption!! Customers were getting quite annoyed and we had no real answers - we were finally diverted to a third bus after much wasted time. Awful. No communication. This should have been a wonderful experience from the reviews. I suggest trying the competition called TOOTS.

At one stage we sat on a bus waiting for ages as they couldn’t find a driver. Three busses were sitting at a stop not going. This wasted so much time in our day. There was a lot of confusion while staff were on mobile phones trying to find drivers. The stops were not also clear and so many of the passengers were asking each other where we were and what stop we were at. The river cruise was the best part.

We bought the 48 hour tour and spent more time waiting on buses than riding them today! On average, it was 20-30 minutes every time we tried to "hop on" - and we rode all 3 routes. Once, I was using the app (50) and although I was standing right where the app located the stop, I had to bang on the door when the bus passed to make it stop, after waiting 50 minutes! The driver said "that's not a stop", I told him to tell that to his app. Once we gave up and took a cab to make sure we made it to our destination on time. We've done this system in several other cities/countries and enjoyed it but not this one. I'm sorry I've spent the money or I certainly wouldn't use them again tomorrow.

Meets expectations. We did the 48-hour pass on a 6 night stay. Good way to get familiar with the main tourist stops. We did not do either the river cruise or walking tours, so can't comment on those. They staff was always friendly and helpful.

For only 24 hours in London the Explore ticket was awesome to see so much of the area including bus rides, night tour, boat ride, and the walking tours. Special mention to big Steve who I did multiple walking tours throughout the day with. Steve was knowledgeable, kind, funny and inclusive - and just an all round awesome guy! He made the tours hilarious and ensured we all got photos for our memories to last (even us solo travelers). He knew so much about London but also had great travel tips for Europe in general, and all over the world! The perfect guide. Thanks so much! I will be back again one day 🙌🏼

We were excited for a tour to go to London for our 7 day trip. My wife, daughter and her friend, and my self. My wife has a nephew working for Hilton so we put our faith in him to make hotel arrangements. We stayed at the Metropole Hilton for our first 3 days. We had a change of mind that since we were close, we should visit Germany. On our 4th day we had made a quick connection with a wonderful tour guide in Heidelberg. Our friend in Heidelberg with a luxury van. We flew to Frankfort and visited all the city the first day. We took the train from Frankfort to Manheim and Manfred met us on the train platform. Manfred our guide arranged everything From there it was a wonderful experience and everything was pointed out to us along with all our questions being answered. We had an option of 3 hour or 6 hours for our tour with Manfred. Due to us being selfish and wanting to squeeze every moment in to our visit, we elected the 3 hrs with Manfred. The top of the tour was the Heidelberg Castle. I was very impressed with that and visiting Healdsburg is a must. Manfred is a history buff and shared much information about the Castle. I had looked at many videos prior to this tour but they do not show the magnificent history. Being there just is amazing and walking on top a giant wine barrel is breathtaking. Manfred had a treat after our climb down. I shall no share this as you must experience it. I highly recommend My friend in Heidelberg with a luxury van. just type that in for a search and it pops up. So after the tour it was back to train and return to Frankfort, Our hotel in Frankfort was the Hilton City Central. A great location. Back to London to spend 2 more days. OK, now for a summary. At first I was a bit apprehensive about the trains. Once we rode them and learned the routes posted, it was a breeze. It was good to meet the people on trains and they were all willing to help and offered suggestions on what stop to get on and off. My first experience on trains. getting through the pay turn stiles can be challenging. The system uses any credit card to go through and then the same card to exit. that is key to travel. I would not bother getting an Oyster card for travel, your cards work. At Heath Row airport, upon landing and clearing Immigration and Customs, it was easy to get through the terminal. In the center of the terminal was an information booth which had a sign' Uber". I asked how to catch Uber and the representative said they do it all. So We made an Uber connection. Also they booked us a Hop on Hop off at that kiosk. The Hop on/off starts the day you want to use and is good for 24 hours once activated. We used ours After returning to London from Germany. Then a representative escorted the four of us out to the area an we met the Uber immediately. It was about 45 min from airport to Metropoles. Cost was 125 pounds. a train would have been a bit cheaper but Uber won on convenience. You can buy any Hop on/off bus you want by asking any of the bus drivers. There are several Hop on/on companies. Our goals was to eat at an English pub for Fish 'n Chips. we did that everyday. In Germany we had a goal of having Schnitzel at a German Restaurant. Our hotel was a Block from a shopping area and we found Dicke Butz. A great German restaurant. At Frankfurt downtown there was a German restaurant by the Bridge of locks. The Frankfurter Apfelwein Botfchaft. Another great place for German food. In Frankfurt there are many shops in the city and cheese shops abound. Another must is the Kleinmarkthalle. A enormous variety of food, drinks, vegetables and all around German shopping market. Around London the train is so easy to get to Piccadilly Circle, Westminster, and Buckingham. Night time to see all the city lights by bus is wonderful. at the time of our visit a pound was 1.25 to 1 US dollar. we did not change money but most stores will not take US currency due to counterfeit issues. So get a few pounds for small purchases and cards for everything else. We do plan on returning as 7 days is not long enough. Hope this helps.

Great way to see the city especially the River Cruise. The final bus ride of the day on the blue line was not great with the driver going around Belgrave Sq a number of times. The tour guide on the River Cruise was excellent!

Had an amazing time even though it was cold. We sat up top the entire time. When you are going to London, it's a must do... regardless of the weather.

This was an amazing experience. The bus tour offers three routes, The Blue Route taking you around London, The Red Route taking you around the city centre and The Green Route which I believe was the river route. This trip was fun and easy, getting to learn about famous landmarks and being able to take some incredible photos from the top deck. There is a narrator who talks you through each landmark via a headset with a variety of 6 different available languages. The staff were lovely including a sales guy named Leo, who we bought our tickets from, his kindness made the process so much easier. If you go to London I’d definitely recommend this, and look out for Leo 👍🙂

My adult daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this bus tour which enabled us to see many varied neighborhoods that we would not have been able to see on foot. We didn’t have the time to hop on and off or do the River Cruise and still enjoyed the experience.

Great tour Blue route has numerous stops at important London landmarks. The river tour option is a must. The only recommendations I have is the audio guide should announce the stops BEFORE you get to them. Many were announced after or not at all. Also it would be great if the busses had charging ports. My phone ran out twice. Thanks for the adventure.
