David was our captain and he did an amazing job !! The overall experience was lot of fun. We had a great vegan snack waiting at the end. They also had towels and changing rooms were neat and clean. Finally, we made the sugarcane juice in the machine and had a fresh sugarcane juice. The family was kind enough to give sugarcane juice to our daughter as well, who could not come to this adventure. Overall great experience.

I've done a number of rafting trips in the Arenal/surrounding areas and I'm convinced this is the best place to go. They make the whole experience feel personal and unique and it does not feel like part of a big tourist trap. Our guide Stanley was remarkable, and the rest of the crew at SOC was so accommodating and friendly, we felt like a group of friends by the end of the day. Hope to be back soon.

This was the best-guided tour I have ever been on. We stayed in the cabins at SOC in the "glamping" area and it was so beautiful, and the river was literally in the backyard!! We got to experience two days of guided white water rafting tours through the Sarapiqui River with the best instructors in the country! Thank you for letting me visit your office, David & Arturo...it was a trip of a lifetime and one that I will recommend to everyone I know. I cannot wait to book my next adventure with you guys!

This white water rafting was THE highlight of our trip to Costa Rica! It was literally our favorite activity. The rapids were super fun and the water was super fresh and clear. Our guide was great and definitely made us feel safe and comfortable in the raft. Also, the food after the rafting trip (which we were not expecting) was delicious. They gave us Cassava and salsa and juiced sugar cane with us. Would highly recommend this excursion to anyone wanting some adventure as part of their trip!

The whole day was incredible. Larry, our driver, picked us from San Jose in the morning and broke up the 2 hour journey with stops at coffee plantations, strawberry fields and waterfalls, which was an unexpected, but very pleasant surprise. We arrived at the outdoor centre abit early, so Larry took us to see a pineapple plantation and also a local friends’ farm, where we cut down and drank from fresh coconuts. Another very appreciated bonus! A very nice touch, rather than being sat waiting around for our tour to start. The lunch the centre provided was amazing. They gave us the menu to choose from the day before, and the food was fresh and tasty. Plenty to choose from for all dietary preferences. The rafting itself was great fun too, highly recommend. The river was beautiful and the team were friendly and helpful the entire time. We were then given fresh fruit and traditional Costa Rican snacks after the activity. Again, this was unexpected but very pleasant and a lovely gesture. Larry then drove us all the way back to San Jose where we finished. Highly recommend the centre/tour, incredible service all day long!

I really enjoyed this tour. Both the guide and the owner were so kind and informative! They taught us how to work together as a team to really maneuver the rapids safely. I promise we felt like an Olympic rowing team by the end of the excursion. lol We also got some great action shots out of it as well. Definitely recommend.

The guides were very experienced and helpful. One of the rafts did flip but everything turned out just fine.

Thr whole experience with Sarapiqui Outdoor Centre was well done. The guides were really friendly and knowledgeable, the safety precautions were rigorous but absolutely did not get in the way of the thrills and the rafting itself was great fun. As well as having an awesome time in the rapids, we saw various herons, a toucan and a massive iguana. Well worth it.

We couldn't have asked for a guide. Although I fell out twice from the raft I always felt safe and alot of safety instruction was given beforehand. Our guide pointed out many things along the way including howler monkeys, the different plants and trees, and birds. The snacks at the end were awesome. Couldn't have asked for a better time.

We had a marvelous raft with Arturo and David. Very professional and a lot of care for safety: clear instructions and dry practicums. All with new equipment. Nice explanations about schemert. Finishing with a joyful fresh fruit meal!

Absolutely brilliant day out at this place. Our guide David was just brilliant from start to finish. Excellent safety demo at the start and an awesome experience with lovely local produce served at the end. Family run business too. 100% must try when in La Fortuna.

We had a great time whitewater rafting with Roberto. Prior to our ride, he gave us a little nature walk. But the main event, the whitewater rafting, was fantastic. We really enjoyed the trip. As an added bonus, they gave us photos and videos of our trip for free.

Excellent experience. Very good cadence of frequent rapids. The guides did an awesome job of pointing out wildlife. The lunch at the end was terrific, too. Amazing people and strong community!

This was our 5th WW rafting trip, including trips in the USA and New Zealand. It was quite possibly the best, as it was just my wife and I with our amazing guide Steve. He is a wonderful guide who knows the river and communicated to us clearly how we needed to paddle. He also did a quick and efficient recovery of my wife when a particularly challenging rapid pulled her off the raft. The river is beautiful and we had it all to ourselves! The rapids were challenging but so much fun! The drive from La Fortuna takes about an hour and is a very easy drive. The highway is much like those in U.S. This is a must do for great rafting. Pure Vida!

Steve was a wonderful man! We really enjoyed our rafting trip. We had a 2 person private tour, we felt very safe and had a lot of fun with lots of adrenaline :) The people at Sarapiquí Outdoor Centre are super nice and friendly! 100% recommend.

We booked the rafting half day trip and it was the highlight of our time in the area! The tour operator company was really good, the guys were very good in ensuring everyone is safe throughout the ride. It was extremely fun on the River! After the ride they offered us a lunch/snack and showed us how to make sugarcane juice. The food was delicious! When we got home, they had sent us pictures from the trip. All in all the best experience, I really can only recommend it and would chose them again if I wanted to do rafting again!

Great rapids, beautiful river, and fantastic guides!! My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Mariano in the safety kayak and Justin as leader! We took the early morning slot, so we had a VIP private experience - just us :-) David, the owner, was very patient with us by phone/whatsapp while we decided on the itinerary- we were considering Pacaure, but at the end our schedule didnt allow for it. Sarapiqui 3-4 was great!! We didnt see much wildlife, but the river was beautiful and we felt very safe with our guides Snack afterward was really nice as well, and the photos they take are an added bonus! Overall very professional, and we highly recommend!
