Leandro was a great surf instructor and we caught many waves! He was in depth about the technique and instructions before we went in the water. Had a great time, Pura Vida!

By far the best surf school I’ve been in Tamarindo, if not in life in general! Everyone is incredibly friendly, talented and passionate for surfing and the beauty and simplicity of a happy life (la pura vida) ! The teacher we had, Leandro, was incredibly organised with power points and techniques to really help us learn the sport in depth and also transmitted such a wholesome energy and excitement for surfing that could make anyone love the sport by the end of their tamarindo visit! If you are someone that is in Tamarindo to learn the sport, catch some amazing waves and meet cool people in the process, this is the right place for you.

The most professional surf lessons ever. Theoretical education in the beginning (like a perentation on a university), a pop-up technique with a new mood for me, and a very stable standing position on the board.

We book lessons for a bigger group, mixed of beginners and intermediates. Leandro started his surf lessons with a perfectly structured theoretical education. He illustrated the process of surfing in an exciting way, teaching exactly the most important movements. He was very attentive to everyone in the water and gave the whole team a great experience and a lot of fun. We improved a lot and had a great time together. If Tamarindo and surf, definitely go to Surf Every Day Academy.

I took multiple surf essons from Leandro of Club 33. As a beginner, even though I had tried this before this was so helpful to understand the basics of not only getting on the board but dynamics of a.wave as well as trying to catch a wave yourself. He is a good teacher patient, friendly and very helpful. Everyone at the shop was nice and would like to call them friends now! Leo a freelancer one of Club 33s friends also takes great pics of you at a very reasonable price.. I would definitely recommend that you try them out if you are looking for lessons for yourself or your family

It was my first time surfing and it could not have been better. Leandro (our coach) is one of a kind! He was explaining everything so well before going into the water and also giving best instructions and advices in the water. I felt super safe all the time and I just had a loooot of fun! I can only recommend to get lessons there if you want to surf in Tamarindo, because this experience was nothing but amazing!

Hands down, the best surfing experience we‘ve ever had. Leandro is an amazing coach who not only shows you important techniques and empowers you to catch great waves but also gives you scientific insights into surfing. You can really feel his passion for surfing every single second. We had several sessions and felt constant progress regarding our mindset and technical abilities. My name is Max, I'm 20 years old, and I reside in Toronto, Canada. I visited Tamarindo for one day during my trip to Guanacaste. By luck or chance, I came across such a knowledgeable and insightful instructor as Leandro. Leandro undertook me in only one day, and I am forever grateful for my surfing experience, which I plan on getting more of the next time I visit. Two things: find time to do the program on your own (do this prior by asking Leandro for the theory of surfing) and with Leandro while you are there, not to mention review surfing theory afterwards on your own time to continue making progress. I went in May of 2023, and it is now March 2024. It's been so long since, but today, I decided to leave a review for such a remarkable program and memorable experience. I still look back at the surfing videos from my trip. I plan on visiting again in 2025.

Leandro was an amazing instructor. All i wanted to do was get in the water and catch some waves, but he had an in depth class on weather, body mechanics and safety before we even hit the water. He met and exceeded all my expectations. Leandro left such a good impression that we'll def be coming back anytime we're in Costa Rica.

I highly recommend, amazing people at this shop, they teach you the science behind surfing on top of the most efficient ways to catch and RIDE waves. Worth every penny. This isn't the first place I have gotten lessons from, but it is the first place that TAUGHT me and my friends the right way to do it. Leandro is amazing teacher, and the crew there is super friendly, helpful and outgoing. I will go back next time I'm in CR!!!

By far the best surf shop and school in Costa Rica. I had a severally damaged board repaired here and it was like it was brand new. I also got a couple lessons from Leondro and he was incredible. His passion for teaching surfing is unmatched, it went far beyond just trying to get a tourist to stand up on a board. He really teaches you how to surf and how to take what you’ve learned and continue to get better after your lessons with him. Also after the lessons he kept in touch with me to see how I was progressing and offering more tips. Truly glad I chose Club 33 and Surf Every Day Academy, the entire crew there are awesome people.

I went to surf everyday academy on my last day in Tamarindo after a week long surf camp at Witch's Rock. I really wanted to learn the basics of surf skating to continue learning to surf while land locked. I didn't really expect much more than some fundamentals, but the lesson was so much more than what I ever imagined. I have never been very athletic or involved in sports when I was younger, so I just thought I didn't have "it". Leandro spent about an hour teaching me in the classroom, how the body moves and why, how this applies to surfing, how the positions in surf skating compliment surfing, and how the mind is able to capture this information on a conscious level in the beginning and later in muscle memory to become unconscious movement. Everything he said made sense, and while he is insanely intelligent and passionate about what he does, I always felt so comfortable under his guidance (I'm usually extremely anxious trying new things - especially surf skating at almost 40 y/o). He then spent another hour showing me how to apply what we just learned, and while I really feared this part - I cannot stress how much FUN it was. In fact - I am buying the recommended board and am continuing to train. If you are in Tamarindo, you owe it to yourself to take at least one class here. Even if you are already enrolled in another surf camp like I was, there are certain days where you may be too tired or your body may not be able to handle 7 continuous days of paddling out only to catch a few waves. Take the time to train on land with Leandro, I promise you learn so much and will have fun doing it! I only wish they offered online courses :)

Leandro was so thorough and knowledgeable and professional as well as being delightful! My husband and I are in our 60s, and it was my first time surfing. I felt taken care of and I had lots to work with and I was able to get up and actually surf!! So fun! I completely recommend him!
