Starting the City-and Island tour by walking the small and narrow streets, having many possibilities to take nice photographs in the early morning, quiet city. We get orientation and information in the labyrinth of the old town as well as impressions of the small port and the churches in town. Of course we will see the famous wind- mills and find Petros the Pelican, the mascot of Mykonos.
After this we are exploring the island, visiting some of the most famous beaches and the inner landscape.
We see fishermen and kaikis, small private chapels and houses built in typical Cycladic style.
In the second main village of Mykonos, Ano Mera, an idyllic place 6km from town, where the guests have enough free time for a stroll around the traditional square and they can visit the monk monastery of Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century.
Next stop is Kalafatis beach were there is time to relax for a while and have a coffee or a refreshment (not included in the price). Before going back to town we visit the beaches of Ornos and Agios Giannis. At the end we reach a place with a fantastic view all over the town and the neighboring islands.

Our guide, Achim, met us off the tender and first walked us through the narrow passageways of the town explaining why and how the town grew up. He is German but spends the majority of his time there. This would be his last tour of the season. We visited the famous windmills on the edge of town the after about an hour took us to a wood fired bakery that is several hundred years old and still in operation for some fresh baked goods and refreshments. Then is was time for the island tour which took us on roads and to parts of the island that no bus tour could possibly take us. All in all it was a full 4-5 hours of seeing on of the very interesting islands in Greece.
Great tour and use of our limited time in Mykonos. Achem met us at the port and transported us in a comfortable van to see many sites in Mykonos. We had a couple not join us in the beginning of the tour, but Achem was very accommodating in meeting up with them a little later. We finished up touring Little Venice and the wind mills. Enjoyed an authentic meal, before having to return to the ship. Achem's insight to Mykonos gave us much more knowledge of the island than we would have had on our own. Achem is also a photographer, so as an added bonus, he took some great photos!
Our driver, Achim Eckhardt, was amazing! We got to see a lot of Mykonos in a short time. The service was wonderful, there are 2 of us with mobility issues and he made sure we could do all of the sight seeing and stopped to allow my husband to take pictures along the way. We ate lunch at a beautiful, little authentic Greek restaurant, the food was delicious! This is the way to see Mykonos! Thanks Achim for a wonderful afternoon.
While on a Celebrity cruise of the Greek Isles and Italy, our group of 4 adults took many private excursions, and unfortunately this was our least favorite tour out of the 8 tours we took. Our tour guide was Sabine, and she was very sweet and knowledgeable of the area, however the first part of our tour (about 2 hours), was just a walk around the main town of Mykonos and it's many cafes and shops along the coast. This was something we certainly could have done on our own time, and which we did again after our tour was done for some shopping. The second half of the tour was a drive out to the country side for a brief overview of Mykonos. Made a short stop in a town where we visited a Basilica, then turned around and headed back to our starting point. We probably would have enjoyed this portion of our tour more if we had been in a larger vehicle. Our tour was given in an Audi 5 sedan, so three of us had to squeeze into the back seat, with one of us straddling the middle hump which was very uncomfortable. The tour guide mentioned she was taking a larger group on a tour the next day and using a van for transportation. We certainly would have enjoyed the van had we been giving the choice! (all of our other private tours of Greece were given in Mercedes vans and they were so comfortable)! I highly recommend you inquire about what vehicle will be used for the tour! Overall this tour ranked as our least favorite by all four of us. It was OK - just nothing really special, and expensive for what you get. (one of our most expensive per person cost tour).
We had a fabulous driver taking us all through the town, stopping and telling us things that were important he was very accommodating by dropping us off as close to the town so we didn't have to walk much extremely considerate and respectful, certainly would recommend this trip
We really enjoyed this tour the guide was very knowable and friendly and made sure we all had a great time.
Would recommend to others.
Excellent tour to see the highlights and gameplan other things to do around Mykonos. Tour guide Akim(?) was great.
Albi was great! He took us to beautiful spots on the island. You can tell he loves what he does and loves 'his' island.
Our tour guide, Olivia, was amazing! She’s a Mykonos local and knows all the great spots to visit on the island. We virtually saw all there was to see in the 4 hours we were with her. I feel like we really lucked out having her as our guide. She was truly fantastic!
Our tour guide was good and knowledgeable. There was a miscommunication between us and her, we ask to go to Mykonos town in the morning before it got to busy with cruise ships in but instead she took us on the island tour first. By the time we got to town it was so busy all we wanted to do was get back to our hotel on the quiet side of the island. There was not much to see on the island.
Had the best day, staff (Paris) and skipper were fantastic! food was fabulous, everything 5 star even had the excitement of witnessing a marriage proposal ❤️ Highly recommend!
This tour met and surpassed our expectations. Mykonos was our first glimpse of the Greek Islands and prettier than we had even imagined. Each family has it's own church generation to generation and they are so numerous that they seem almost stacked upon one anotherI Everything is whitewashed and so pristine - even the property lines are painted like stepping stones between shops and cafes! This 4 hour tour covered so much that we couldn't have missed anything! The picturesque thatched-roof windmills, the Monastery and the light house. Sena, our guide was so knowledgeable about the history and traditions and she took us everywhere and even satisfied a special request to see the beach where Shirley Valentine was filmed! Take this tour, you'll love it!
We had a great day with Monica and our driver. They took us all over the Island and asked for input on what we wanted to see and do and adjusted the schedule accordingly. It felt very customized for us. Monica was very knowledgeable and super friendly. She recommended a great restaurant for lunch after the tour.
We throughly enjoyed this tour! We usually book private tours to get the best one on one information and experience and Sabein( sorry for the spelling) did not let us down. Her knowledge of the Island and driving skills is remarkable. It was a lovely morning. We highly recommend this tour.
Our guide was Reto. He met us right on time. We did a walking tour of the town. Showed us the ancient wells, windmills, Little Venice, churches and shops. Showed us where to get the bestdeals shopping and the best food (Niko's Tavern). We drove all over the island and up tothe lighthouse. He was very informative and took the time to stop and let us take pictures and explore. At the end of the tour, he took us back to town and walked us to the shops we hadseen earlier. Very well pleased with this tour guide and the company.
Mykonos was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Our driver was very sweet and made sure we saw everything Mykonos had to offer.
Wonderful half day tour of the beautiful Greek island of Mykonos. Our guide Olivia, was the BEST! Friendly and very informational. Highly recommend this tour with Olivia as your guide. You will not be disappointed. She provided us with a wonderful tour seeing many beautiful sites. We absolutely will return to this beautiful island in the future. We enjoyed our day in Mykonos and would highly recommend this tour with Olivia as your guide.
Very knowledgeable guide. Made it worthy to take the trip
Our guide with Viator was terrific, he was very knowledgeable about all the areas and couldn't have been more friendly. I highly recommend Viator.
Mykonos is a beautiful island with a rich history. My mates and I prefer private tours to dig deeper into the details and gain a better understanding of local culture. Most private tours are, to a large extent, self directed. Typically the guide will pick you up and offer a wide variety of places to visit and help plan the allotted time. Olivia was our guide and it felt like our 4 hours were pre-planned, there was not much flexibility as to where we were going and in what order. In the end our tour was much closer to 3 hours than the 4 hours, very disappointing. As a guide Olivia was great. Perfect English and thorough knowledge of the island, quite friendly.
Mykonos is incredibly beautiful and our guide was great. We were told why all houses were white cubes with their own small chapels. How the Mykonos residents had to repaint their homes and outline the street stone in white every spring because of the harsh winters.
How the streets are so like a maze to lure pirates who would then become so confused and lost, they could not find their way back to the ship and were killed. Such history....I would highly recommend this tour!
We enjoyed this. Knowledgeable guide.
