Stop At: Duomo di Milano, Piazza del Duomo, 20122 Milan Italy
If your time in Milan is limited, or if you want an overview to guide your exploration, this one-day walking tour is the perfect introduction, taking in all the most prominent sights – including guaranteed entry to see Da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’.
Led by your local, English-speaking guide, you’ll visit some iconic sights and some on the path less travelled. You’ll get to skip the line at Milan Duomo and experience this world-famous cathedral without waiting – unlike the city itself, which waited nearly 600 years for the incredible building to be completed.
The tour will pause again so you can admire the medieval Sforza Castle, before delving into the cobbled streets of the Brera district. This is the beating heart of Milan’s social and cultural life, as your guide will explain. You’ll hear about all the famous artists and thinkers that have called Brera home, as well as some more up-to-date recommendations of places to revisit later for a drink or a meal.
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Stop At: Castello Sforzesco, Piazza Castello, 3, 20121 Milan Italy
You'll see another architectural wonder at the Medieval Sforza Castle, which your guide will explain from the outside.
Duration: 10 minutes
Pass By: Brera District, Via Pontaccio, Via FatebeneFratelli, Via dei Giardini, Via Monte di Pieta, Via Ponte Vetero and Via Mercato., Milan Italy
Along the way you’ll pass through the cobbled streets of the Brera district where you’ll find the heart of Milan’s social life. With your guide leading the way you’ll hear about the artists and intellectuals that once called these streets home, and get some tips on where to visit for a meal or a drink later.
Pass By: Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Piazza del Duomo, 20123 Milan Italy
Our next stop is the impressive Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade. Brimming with fashionable shops and cafés, it is often called the drawing room of Milan for its importance as a common meeting point. Passing through the Gallery we arrive at Piazza della Scala, the square which houses the world renowned Scala Theatre – Milan’s Opera House since 1778 which is still in use. Some of the greatest musicians and singers in history have performed here, notably Giuseppe Verdi whose famous operas, such as Falstaff, often premiered in this very theatre.
Stop At: Il Cenacolo, Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie, 20123 Milan Italy
It all builds to a viewing of Leonardo Da Vinci’s phenomenal mural, ‘The Last Supper’. Often imitated, never bettered, this masterpiece is carefully preserved, and only one group is allowed to view it at a time. This can make tickets a challenge to acquire, but yours are included in this package, along with special Skip the Line Access – so you’re guaranteed your full 15 minutes with the fresco. Listen as your guide points out the details that earn ‘The Last Supper’ its place in the history books.
After just one day, you’ll find your relationship to Milan forever changed for the better.

Incredible walking tour with our guide Simone, who was so helpful and knowledgeable! Simone has such a gift for bringing the history and culture to life for us. We thoroughly enjoyed his commentary, humor, and insights on the amazing city of Milan and its wonders. Worth every penny!
Alize was so informative and friendly! She made this trip so fun as we walked around Milan. She gave a fantastic history of the Duomo, last supper, and the castle.
Tour guide Daniellie was knowledgeable , friendly, and excellent. Also - city wonders help desk was helpful in locating the tour guide for us when we missed the beginning of the tour. Show up on time… not a minute late
We got way more out of this than I expected. Our guide (the name escapes me) was very knowledgeable and super pleasant! Perfect with the seemless ticket arrangements even in the midst of covid. Great value and highly recommended.
The tour guide was very friendly and kept us interested in the tour the whole time. She met us at the Duomo and provided a lot of cool insight into the structure and history. The walk through Milan was cool as she took us through parts of the city that are usually overlooked. I really appreciated the guidance at the last supper museum. Would recommend for solo / couple travellers Just a heads up for potential travellers, unrelated to the actual tour experience but important to know: do not bring anything that's glass or porcelain or metal into the Duomo they check your bags.
The tour was wonderful! The tour provided a great overview of the old city including the gorgeous Milan Duomo and memorable Last Supper fresco. Our tour guide was awesome.would highly recommend this tour.
I'm a university teacher and I appreciated the knowledge of the guide very much. It's well worth taking the tour.
I can't find the words to describe how absolutely amazing Marika was during our tour. She was SOOOOO knowledgeable of the city and tour sites and had a great personality. She also constantly checked to make sure that everyone was there. She walked at a great pace, and made it a fantastic tour. The Duomo and The Last Supper are simply indescribable and definitely not to be missed. I was a bit bummed after losing our tour guide (2) days before and having to reschedule (which Chantal was amazing in helping to coordinate), but Marika MORE than made up for it. I would definitely use City Wonders again! :) From Sunny Los Angeles, thanks for helping to make our stay in Milan magical!
Lara was our tour guide and was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable about the history, architecture & culture of Italy. With just a group of 7, it allowed plenty of questions & very easy to keep together. Strongly recommend!!
Simon was our guide. It was a very cold and snowy day in Dec but he had the most positive upbeat attitude. He gave the most interesting facts and was passionate about his work and the subjects he was presenting. He was so reverent about The Last Supper he brought me to tears. Over all highly recommend.
Excellent tour despite the miserable snowy weather conditions. Our tour guide Simon was superb, with an encyclopedic knowledge of Milan and Italy. He was very approachable if any of had any questions, and always gave a considered answer. If you go to Milan, do this tour.
The tour guide was fantastic. She talked the entire journey, sharing about what was to come and what we were experiencing.
We had Katrina as a guide. She was a treasure. Very happy with her. Staff was on top of everything. We could not be more pleased.
Great tour! Our tour guide gave us a lot of great details especially about the Last Supper. It would also nice to get the extra details about the Duomo that I wouldn't have known otherwise.
The tour of Milan Duomo, Last Supper and surrounding areas were great!!! Very informative. It would have been better if the tour operator will announce their presence or maybe hold up a simple sign as several of us were standing for quite sometime in front of Mondadori Megastore as per tour instructions not knowing who the tour operator is and if the tour was on or not. Thanks.
Maria’s knowledge of history and attention to detail made all the difference. She made the tour a memorable one for the entire family. Thank you so much!
Our tour guide Simon was excellent. He was fun and explained all the history of the beautiful sites in Milan. He was a fabulous tour guide.
Simone was a great tour guide! He was patient and professional. He really knew the city and provided great information during the duration of the 3-hour tour. Highly recommend this tour!
Barbara was fantastic. She is so smart and kind. She held us together like family and made it interesting. We were 10 people. This would be awful with more as you have to cross busy streets. Great guide. She was exactly where she told us to meet. Highly recommended.
We just did this 3 hour walking tour with Simon. He was absolutely fantastic!!!! We learned so much about Milan. We saw a variety of sites and Simon was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. He even helped us make dinner reservations at a fantastic local restaurant.
Milan: Our Guide David was Fantastic, very knowledgeable. Also, the Dome's roof top is a must. .....
Our guide provided a lot of interesting information and was easy to hear and understand. The tour did not include the roof of the Duomo, so we will go back for that on our own.
Our guide was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour! We enjoyed the history of the 3rd largest church in the world - the Duomo and the last supper. It was great!
Great tour guide who was very friendly and informative. Whole tour was great - only slight hiccup was that we were not able to enter the cathedral as planned when it was clear many other groups were doing so. Apart from that seeing the last supper will be a life memory and Milan truly is a beautiful city!
This is an excellent tour and fulfilling a life long bucket list item. Everything went very smoothly and if you want to see the Last Supper book this tour!
Our guide Barbara was just great! She was really engaged and made sure to listen to everyones wishes. She has tons of knowledge that she gladly shared with a big smile åand her english was exellent. Make sure to put on good walking shoes. The tour was really fine for anyone with normal health, we were not tired and there was time for a coffee and toilet break. We took the tour on our first day in Milan which was great, to get a good overview of the town center. The cathedral and the last supper was wonderful places as well as the town. The headphones that were supplied meant we could all follow everything Barbara said during the tour. A great tour indeed!
Enjoyed the entire tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. I would recommend anyone visiting Milan to take this tour. Ciao Milano❤️
Duomo, Last Supper were great. Barbara was excellent - very knowledgeable about the sites as well as the history of Milan and Italy
Daniele was a wonderful guide, he had a lot of information, knowledge of sites and culture all delivered with a great sense of humor! Highly recommend
This was the perfect tour if you are interested in seeing inside the Duomo and learning more about it. Daniele was very engaging and informative and the pace was also great. Once leaving the Duomo, you will take a short walk where you can see other highlights of the city with the ending being the Last Supper. This is a great tour to do on your first day or soon after you get to Milan, as you will get a good overview of some of the city and it's main attractions. I would highly recommend this tour for those seeking the Last Supper and Duomo. Thank you again Daniele!
